Chapter 165: Adam Vs Alustus I
"My King, it's done."
Alcey said as she looked down at the arena. The blast she unleashed upon Adam had scorched the entire battlefield.
Thankfully, all the monsters, except Adam, were protected by a powerful water barrier created by Alustus.
However, Alustus's eyes narrowed as he scanned the field.
He couldn't sense Adam's presence. So he turned to Xindy for confirmation.
"Did we get him, Xindy?"
But the answer he received shook him.
[Negative. The attack itself did zero damage]
'Ha...How, there is no way that possible, that clan shot, are you shitting me right now?!'
Alustus inwardly shouted, questioning even further.
'That last attack had enough power packed into it to level an entire city. What the hell do you mean it did zero damage?'
Alustus asked Xindy mentally, but her response remained unchanged.
[Negative, I am not shitting you my Lord]
After all, the blast Alcey fired towards Adam didn't even so much as scratch him.
Not because he tanked it of course, no if anything it was the complete opposite.
It quite literally did not hit him at all.
But as Alustus was panicking, he, Beretta, and Alcey especially soon open their eyes in disbelief.
Because in the very next instant, what the three of them experienced could only be described as a primal fear.
Because somehow, not only did they hear a voice so close to them, but by what could only be described as a miracle. Adam was now sitting calmly on Alcey's shoulder, in his Sidhe form, smiling with his legs cross, and arms folded.
"Not bad, tentacle girl. That attack packed one hell of a punch."
He said casually.
"However... I'm not a fan of surprises. But hey, what kind of man would I be if I didn't return the favor with an even better gift, hmm?"
"What?!"
Alustus shouted, his voice cracking with disbelief.
"Eh!?"
Berretas eyes widened in pure confusion as she turned toward Adam, still casually perched on Alcey's shoulder, as if nothing had changed.
Moments after.
Adam slowly raised his hand forward. And with a slow motion, he touched her cheeks with his small hands.
And the moment he did, all hell broke loose, as his power began to affect her.
Coming as natrual as breathing.
Adam casually began to use the power of both Water Affinity and Regulator Rings, which allows him to control both external and internal energies at once at very proficient and control rate.
As Adam reached deep inside Alcey's body. Going deep into her biological makeup.
He tapped into the monstrous energy within her cells, found the circulating currents of power she herself couldn't fully control, and did something utterly cruel to the woman.
He fused both her Monster energy, and blood together as one.
As a result it created a change reaction, where her own internal energy began to boil her from the inside out as she began to superheated.
Her body began to glow purple, the heat increasing by the second.
She felt it first in her gut.
Then her lungs.
Then her spine.
Alcey's face twisted, as her voice began moan outwards, as she tried to fight and control the raging power within her from exploding outwards.
"Hhhhrk! HHRRRRAAAHHHAAA!!...
She struggle to fight through the pain.
As blood burst from her mouth, spraying down her chest, and streamed from her eyes like tears made of ink.
Her veins lit up beneath her skin, glowing like molten cracks in glass; as if something inside her was trying to escape.
Her whole body began to convulse, hard and ugly, trembling like she was caught in the middle of being reborn or torn apart.
Then she screamed.
A gut wrenching scream.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHH...AHHHHHHH!!"
The pressure inside her body swelled until her body could no longer contain the fallout inside.
And in the next breath, as a result of Adam manipulating both her body and energy inside her the way he did she exploded.
BOOOOOOOOM!!!
A blinding sphere of warped monster energy burst out of her, expanding so fast it seemed to bend the air around it. Her chest tore open first. Her arms and legs followed, ripping away in chunks, and right after everything else.
As a roar that swallowed the sky, and shake the world around them echoed outwards
A flood of light and raw destruction washed over everything. The flying castle above extremely durable in of itself contain most of the blast, preventing the widespread of it.
But the sea below it was consumed instantly into a giant fire ball of energy, as the explosion of Alcey body was akin to thousands of nuke being dropped at once.
Stone walls disintegrated, steel melted, and all the monster within the castle incinerated before they even had time to register the sound.
The ocean below churned, whipped into a frenzy by the shockwave. And the clouds broke apart, engulfed by the energy of the explosion.
From a distance, it looked like a second sun had bloomed over the sea, violet in color, as the shockwaves rage outwards, and the explosion killed everyone and everything within.

At that moment, Adam activated a Memory Point, vanishing from the battlefield in a flash of distorted space.
He reappeared miles away, far outside the projected blast radius.
It was an efficient assault, and attack that he was sure could kill everyone in that damned castle, especially the king given it was from point blank nonetheless.
Fighting an entire army of B- to A-rank monsters, especially on their own turf, felt like a colossal waste of effort. He had no interest in slogging through endless waves of fodder just to make a point.
This method was cleaner, as it was quicker.
A surgical execution, killing two birds with one stone.
He was certain the blast, crafted from Alcey's unstable, overclocked energy, would've annihilated everything.
The force of it should have torn the flying castle apart, reduced its defenders to ash, and turned the skies above the ocean into a graveyard.
That level of devastation… even he wouldn't walk away from it easily, most likely only is nigh indestructible heart being the sole survivor.
But then...
The smoke cleared.
And what he saw made his brow twitch.
The flying castle still hung high above the sea, untouched.
Not a single crack in the walls. Not a single body in the wind.
Even the damn banners were still waving in the breeze.
It was as if the blast had never happened.
Or rather it was clearly protected because around the castle glowing water barrier, wrapped around everything instantly like a second skin.
It was clear that Alustus created a barrier to protect his people from the blast.
But Adam did not like the sight of this, as his expression darkened, jaw tightening as he muttered with cold irritation.
"Haaaa... you've gotta be kidding me?!"
But at that exact moment, Adam heard a voice behind him, it was low, furious, and trembling with barely-contained rage.
"You fucking bastard… how dare you hurt my wife."
A violent surge of monster energy exploded behind him.
The very air trembled, and the sea below churned and twist as giant waves began to form. The sky above cracked with pressure as that power rippled of the person behind him rippled outward in all directions, thick and suffocating.
It was as if reality itself within finite reach of his presence started to distorted, and break down into sea of liquid anger.
As he could feel laws of reality turning into a liquid state.
Adam turned slowly to face the source.
What he saw made even his monster energy stir.
He himself could only use a certain amount of it before his great power becomes too much for him to control.
But it was not the case for this person, he knew this person before him had way better control over Monster energy than even he himself had.
Proof of this was the immense rippling of his own power, without it going out of control, yet the effects it had on reality was evident.
Black and neon green corruption leaked from the figure's body like liquid, slime like even, twisting and coiling around him into a dense, spherical storm of energy, tainted, tangible, and flooding the world with great power.
In a way It mirrored his own, just to a lesser extent, his potency and quality however was more mature and refined than Adams own monster energy, after all Alustus body was way more mature than Adam's own.
But what Adam lack in quality he more that make's up in quantity.
Adam's black-and-red aura responded on instinct. Miasma twisted from the air around him, swirling into a chaotic sphere at his back. The two forces began to clash subtly, tension crackling between them like two gods about to collide.
If Alustus power affect reality, then Adam power just outreaches him going pass the border of the affected area giving him way more reach that Alustus himself.
And then Alustus spoke again, eyes narrowed, voice sharp with confusion and frustration.
"What the hell are you even supposed to be?"
He growled, while folding his arm inside his sphere.
"How the fuck are you even a Sidhe? I know all of my subjects, I see through their eyes, hear through their ears… but you?"
He flew forward trying to get a better look at the small figure infront of him, baring his teeth, that was sharp like a shark.
He responded.
"I can't see from your eyes, nor can I hear from your ears. To me it is like you are utterly invisible."
His hands clenched at his sides, the energy around him flaring with his rising emotion.
"And you, by the looks of it, you're at king level like myself, I can tell by your form… but your energy pool? It's like a goddamn void. So fucking bottomless, what the hell... Why can't I see the end of it?"
Alustus exhaled sharply, voice breaking into a bitter snarl.
"Tch… fuck it, you attack me first either way, your invasion on my home end here, sigh it's so damn annoying. What the hell did you even come here for anyways?"
The king asked, but Adam just gave a low, amused chuckle, his eyes half-lidded like he was already tired of the conversation.
But he gave an honest response.
"Would you believe me if I said... I just want you dead, just because?"
Adam said with a slow rising smirk.
"Beside do monsters really need a reason to tear each other apart?"
He laughed softly, shaking his head.
"Heh... all of this is just so damn amusing you know."
Then his voice turned colder in this moment as he gave Alustus a menacing and bloodthirsty glare.
"Come on now, Alustus. For a transmigrator, you're shockingly stupid."
Adam's eyes gleamed, the words that followed dropping like a blade.
"Or should I call you... Kagami Renjiro?"
That name hit Alustus like a hammer.
As he froze in shock.
The air around him stilled, the swirling miasma briefly losing shape. His confident expression faltered, just for a heartbeat.
But it was enough.
Enough to show that he hadn't just been caught off guard, but was also utterly shocked, by this sudden turn of events.
Because that name...
He hadn't heard it since the day he died in his original world.
And no one, no one in this world should've known it.
But if that is the case, it would make sense why this being know this.
But the system said he came from the outside.
But what exactly is the outside really, was it some kind of higher meta reality, or real world, hell he already knows reality is just a story, and Losdeus is the narrator, so their has to be an author right, but the question was who.
Then it hit him, but it was just a hunch.
"Are you a transmigrator too... No rather are your the God of this world?"
But the answer he got was not what he was expecting.
"Ehhh, are you stupid? If I were God, why the fuck would I even be here? Still, I'll admit...there are forces out there far more terrifying than the likes of Losdeus, heheh... the World System's true form is basically just a box TV for that woman's entertainment. And even then, she doesn't mean shit in the grand scheme of things, despite being the one who created this world. Anyway, I've already said too much, so shut up, and let's kill each other."
With that Adam prepared for battle as he took fighting stance and boldly announced.
"My name is Shinso Adam; youngest of the Shinso Family, and Young Lord of Minerva Village, the one loved and hated the most by this world. Come at me... KAGAMI RENJIROOOOO!!!"
