Hate me, Miss Witch!

Chapter 116: Seduce a Decent Man/Woman? (Two in One)

Knowledge City, Lokiya.

Constantine District.

Lokiya, known as the Arcane Arts City and the Knowledge City, is a standard neutral city where many Transcendent research organizations, including Black Tower, have established their headquarters. Divided into different districts centered around various research factions, Constantine District is the area of the Steam Camp, named after Constantine, the first Legendary mechanic of the Western Continent.

Shiayar walked down the streets of Constantine District. Unlike the grand and solemn style of the Empire Capital, buildings in Constantine District mostly followed a trendy architectural style. In addition to common buildings, mech shops symbolized by gears and Cores of the Furnace could be seen from time to time. Here, machinery was not just a novelty in the hands of Transcenders and the privileged; it was truly integrated into the lives of the common people. A significant number of horse-drawn carriages had been replaced by magictech machinery vehicles moving through the wide streets. Even the main roads boasted ever-illuminated streetlights.

Enola's faint voice arose beside Shiayar, "So, Su Lun is the one who arranged to meet you here?"

Su Lun was the real name of the Dawn Saintess.

On ordinary days, Enola did not wear makeup, preferring to appear bare-faced. Today, however, she had exceptionally put on light makeup and even carefully chosen a deep-colored formal dress that was in vogue in the Empire Capital. At that moment, she lacked the formidable presence of being number one in the Military Department's task points ranking. Instead, she looked more like the little princess of the Winter Flower Family she was. And instead of following half a step behind Shiayar as she usually did, Enola today was assertively holding onto Shiayar's arm, like a peacock declaring its territory before a rival.

"Skyfire Avenue No. 301, Mechanical Manufacturing Plant No. 3. Yes, this is the place." Shiayar checked the street number, feeling the faint fragrance of the young girl clutching his arm, and experienced a blend of pain and pleasure.

The pain was because of what happened a few nights ago. He had carelessly been caught during a magic communication with Dawn Saintess Su Lun, and ever since, he had been subjected to a deathly gaze from someone resembling an overturned vinegar jar. And the pleasure was because jealous little Ennie was truly cute, having sent him quite a few unsolicited benefits these days.

Tsundere characters... their potential is truly unlocked through internal competition, it seems. Shiayar mentally gave a thumbs-up.

MEOW.

A white cat on Shiayar's shoulder meowed somewhat listlessly.

As a psychic split-off of Silvia, she was now somewhat regretful. It's true that being a Pet Beast allows me to have all sorts of close contact with Brother Shiayar without any restraints. I've been petted and cuddled countless times these past few days, and I even heard Brother Shiayar confess to me. But it also means Shiayar is completely In Control; he can pet me and hug me whenever he wants, manipulating me as he pleases. And most crucially, as the Pet Beast accompanying Shiayar, I not only hear many of his little secrets... but I also have to watch him be affectionate and sweet with other women, while I can only look on helplessly. If I watch, I feel like I'm turning into a lemon—no, a lemon cat, practically radiating sourness... But if I don't watch, my heart aches with unbearable curiosity. Original body, when are you going to sort things out and come over from White Tower? If you don't hurry, your Brother Shiayar is going to be completely devoured by other bad women!

...

Shiayar and Enola once lived in the city of Lokiya for nearly two years. Shiayar had been taken in as an apprentice by "Eternal One Page" Hathaway, one of the 8th Page of Black Tower. Consequently, he spent most of his time learning in an affiliated plane of the Black Tower headquarters. However, as a modern-day transmigrator, Shiayar would still frequently take little Ennie to the steam machinery shops in the Constantine District during his free time, dreaming of one day driving a giant war Mecha. Despite years passing, Constantine District remained familiar to both Shiayar and Enola.

Soon, they halted in front of a large mechanical manufacturing plant.

Shiayar pushed open the door. He surveyed the surroundings. Then, in the mech hall's resting area teeming with apprentice mechanics, he spotted a black-haired figure wearing a duckbill cap pulled down low.

"Long time no see. I thought you wouldn't come in person," Shiayar greeted, taking a seat opposite the figure, accompanied by little Ennie.

"It's been five years; it's a rare chance, so of course I had to come see you," Su Lun's pleasant voice came through the mask, sounding muffled.

The girl in front of him wore a heavy duckbill cap and mask and was wrapped tightly in a scarf around her neck. She was almost entirely concealed except for a pair of beautiful eyes. Looking at her, Shiayar spoke sympathetically, "It can't be easy, going out disguised like this."

Even though her appearance was a bit odd, Shiayar fully understood Su Lun's reasons. The identity of the Dawn Saintess was quite special. Other powerful individuals, even a Legendary Beastmaster or the leader of a major power, were only famous within their own circles of Transcenders. For the common people who had not entered the Transcendent realm, they were not privy to such secretive information. Unless someone deliberately inquired, no one would know that the person walking beside them on the street was a Legendary.
