Chapter 129: The War’s End
The atmosphere in the Soul King's Palace grew thick with tension as Yhwach, the Quincy King, stood tall once more. His imposing figure radiated a malevolence that made even the Zero Squad falter for a moment. Yet, amidst the grave silence, Harry Potter simply tilted his head, a glimmer of amusement in his emerald eyes.
"Really, Yhwach?" Harry said, inspecting his Zanpakuto. "You had a perfectly good thing going. Your soul tasted delightful while it was in my domain. But now you're back? That's just rude. Unfair, really."
The nonchalance of Harry's tone made the Zero Squad exchange incredulous glances. Yhwach, however, didn't seem amused. He raised his hand, his The Almighty activated once more as his eyes shifted into their terrifying divine form.
Without warning, Yhwach unleashed Auswählen, beams of light shooting out and sapping the power of the remaining Quincy. Only the Schutzstaffel were spared, their abilities bolstered as Yhwach absorbed the stolen energy, growing even stronger. His towering presence seemed to blot out the light itself.
But Harry remained unperturbed.
As Yhwach advanced, his The Almighty bending reality itself, he noticed something peculiar. His divine sight, the ability to interact with all possible futures, was failing. Every attempt to alter a future involving Harry ended in nothingness.
Harry's voice broke the silence. "Oh, forgot to mention—your The Almighty doesn't work on me. You see, I wrote the full name of 'Almighty' into my soul. Yours is… what's the word? Incomplete."
With a flick of his wrist, Harry's Kōmoku no Kagayaki flared to life, its light overpowering Yhwach's oppressive darkness. He stepped forward, shielding the Zero Squad behind him. "Take a breather. I've got this."
The battle resumed, Yhwach's strikes fueled by his stolen power and Harry's counters resonating with celestial energy. Their duel spanned dimensions, each clash threatening to unravel the balance of the three realms.
Yhwach's frustration mounted as he realized Harry was using The Almighty in ways he couldn't comprehend. Every move he made was anticipated, countered, or outright negated. Harry grew visibly annoyed.
"Alright, Yhwach, this was fun at first," Harry muttered, parrying a strike that split a mountain in the distance. "But now you're just dragging things out. I've got places to be, and honestly, you're kind of annoying."
Harry's eyes glowed as he invoked his Almighty to rewrite reality itself. In a future of his choosing, Yhwach deactivated his own divine sight.
The momentary lapse was all Harry needed. As the world shifted, Ichigo appeared on the battlefield, his Tensa Zangetsu ready. Before Yhwach could react, Harry stepped forward. With a single, fluid motion, his Zanpakuto bisected Yhwach, cutting him from shoulder to hip.
Time seemed to slow as Yhwach's body began to disintegrate. Harry, wasting no time, extended his hand, and Yhwach's soul was absorbed into his domain. The Quincy King was no more.
With Yhwach gone, Harry turned his attention to the Soul King. The entity's presence was faint, its fragmented form barely clinging to existence. Harry approached, his expression calm but resolute.
"We both know this isn't sustainable," Harry said, his voice echoing with divine authority. "You're a relic of an age long past. Let me carry the burden."
The Soul King said nothing, but its essence shimmered in agreement. Harry extended his hand, absorbing the Soul King's power, along with Mimihagi's, into himself. The energy surged through him, elevating him to a state of godhood far beyond even Yhwach's comprehension.
Before leaving, Harry created an indestructible barrier using his Visionary, ensuring the balance of the three realms would remain intact. A single strand of energy from the Soul King was left behind, invisible and eternal, maintaining order.
As Harry returned to Soul Society, the remnants of the war began to settle. The Quincy threat had been vanquished, and the Shinigami survivors gathered to take stock of their losses and rebuild. Among them, Ichigo, his friends, and Kisuke Urahara awaited Harry's return.
Harry landed gracefully, Yoruichi appearing beside him with a playful smirk. The group erupted in cheers as they saw him, relief washing over their faces.
"Well, that's that," Harry said, dusting off his robes. "The Quincy are gone, the realms are stable, and everything's back to normal. Almost."
Ichigo raised an eyebrow. "Almost?"
Harry turned to Yoruichi, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "There's just one last thing to take care of."
He knelt before her, holding out his hand. "Yoruichi Shihōin, will you marry me and join me in my divine domain, my beautiful kitty?"
For a moment, Yoruichi was stunned. Then, a wide grin spread across her face. "YES!" she yelled, leaping onto Harry and peppering his face with kisses.
The group erupted into cheers and laughter, celebrating as the duo embraced. The war was over, and a new chapter was about to begin for Harry and Yoruichi, their bond stronger than ever.
