To provide Hermione with a deeper appreciation of magic, Warren decided to take an additional two days off. He wrote a note for his parents, transported Hermione through the fireplace back home, instructed her to hold on tight, grabbed some Floo powder, and called out, "Spinner's End!"
With a flash of green flame, they vanished.
"Ugh! Not home? Then, Krystal!"
"Yes, young master; how can I assist you?"
"Just as usual, I'd like warm grean tea for myself, and a cup of coffee for Miss Granger."
"What was that creature from earlier?"
"Krystal is my godfather's house-elf. They are magical beings bound to serve wizards and their families for generations. These elves are effectively enslaved by wealthy wizarding families, managing household tasks and unable to refuse orders. If they do disobey, they must punish themselves. Although they possess magic, they need their master's permission to use it. To gain freedom, a master must give them a piece of clothing; however, traditional house-elves view this as a dishonor, akin to being cast out."
"Young master, the tea is ready. What other requests do you have?"
"Mmm, Krystal, please fetch me a few basic magic books."
"Ah, this green tea smells delightful! It will aid in my recovery."
"Hmph! Warren, you've brought your little friend here?"
"Godfather, she's a classmate. There was a magical incident today, and I'd like to request your assistance in brewing a potion to help her manage her magic."
"Hi, I'm Hermione Granger."
"Severus Snape, Head of Slytherin at Hogwarts and Potions Master."
"Miss Granger, a magical outburst is when a magical being loses control over their powers, resulting in chaos. I will provide you with this potion; I trust that as a Muggle-born witch, you will manage to control yourself." With that, it was time for Warren to practice his magic while Hermione learned some basic spells under Krystal's supervision.

Dinner Time
Hermione noticed that although Snape often maintained a stern demeanor with others, he showed a softer side towards his godson. Although he didn't smile or engage much, his constant serving of food for Warren displayed his deep affection.
"Hermione, why not have some pumpkin juice?"
"No, thank you. I'm full."
"Where will your classmate sleep?"
"Uh, on your bed?"
Snape waved his wand, and a lavish bed appeared in the north room. "I have other engagements; it's just the two of you tonight. Don't wander off. If anyone gives you trouble, remember: Sectumsempra." Before he could finish, Severus saw his godson using Sectumsempra to peel an apple.
"Levicorpus! That'll be your punishment!"
That night, Warren ended up sleeping upside down until noon the next day, still feeling dizzy. "Let's go home!" Upon returning to the Shafiq Manor, he found his whole family gathered.
"Hermione, meet my parents and my sister, Alena."
"Hello, Mr. Shafiq, Earl. I'm Hermione Granger."
"Oh, don't be so formal, Hermione. Would you like some hot cocoa?" Mrs. Shafiq offered.
After the great war, the Shafiq family chose to keep their existence hidden, often catching people off guard when they revealed themselves.
"Oh, Merlin, you are the Shafiq family? I've never seen you before!"
Their previous secrecy disadvantaged them in social relations, but things have since improved.
"Grandma, look, this is my classmate, Hermione Granger."
"Hello, Dear Granger! You can call me Grandma, just like Warren does. Welcome to Shafiq Manor as a guest." Indeed, Hermione found ample common ground to discuss with Warren's mother and grandmother. They chatted until dinner passed quickly. With school ahead, Mr. Brian arranged a car to take Hermione home.
Today's experiences had left Hermione captivated by the allure of magic and excited about the knowledge she could acquire. Plus, she mused that magic might even help rectify her prominent front teeth—a thrilling thought. The atmosphere in Shafiq Manor was vibrant.
"Warren! The teacher called and said you missed an entire day of class! Was it because of that girl? Remember, you are the heir of the pure-blood twenty-eight families, the Shafiq lineage. While I don't object to you befriending Muggle-borns, your future spouse must be pure-blood."
"Calm down, Dad! I'm only nine; it's far too early for that conversation."
Even though the shafiq couple didn't zealously chase after pure-blood ideals, they acknowledged that Muggle-born students were decent but still held a preference for pure-bloods.
Time slipped by gradually. May 15th marked Warren's birthday; he received numerous gifts, including a griffin from his father, and a large box of chocolate beans from Hermione. "Can you believe it? In just a blink, our son is turning eleven and will soon attend Hogwarts. I hope he gets sorted into Slytherin; he'll undoubtedly be the best in Slytherin and must set an example for his sister!"
"I will."
"Good night, dear. In a couple of months, the Hogwarts acceptance letter will arrive. Sweet dreams."
After an action-packed day, Warren was now yawning non-stop, his eyelids heavy with fatigue. Just as he was losing energy, the Taoist Lingxu appeared in his dream.
"Are you really planning to go to Slytherin?"
"Of course! It's a family tradition. You told me before that our choices, not our abilities, shape our lives."
"That's correct; I'll always assist and guide you, regardless of the house you choose."
"Thanks; I appreciate it."
Soon, July arrived, bringing with it the Hogwarts acceptance letter. Warren wondered whether Hermione had also received hers. What did her parents think? Would they support her attending Hogwarts?
