"Get into position on the table. I want to get a good look at you."

Swallowing hard, Hermione knelt on his coffee table.

Lucifer circled her several times, taking in her schoolgirl getup. 

'...It's good that she remembered her bad habit of forgetting to do her hair....'

He was torn between wanting her naked and leaving her in what she was wearing.

"You didn't have to do all this for me, pet," Lucifer said, sitting on the settee in front of her.

"I wanted to, sir."

Smirking, he leaned forward and rolled up her skirt so he could see the wet spot grow on her knickers.

"Are you sure you still want to try this tonight?"

"Yes." 'Absolutely!'

Lucifer nodded slowly, it's time to explain first, taking a deep breath he stood up.

'She deserves the truth....'

"Lucifer?"

Hermione climbed off the table, when she noticed that room now had suddenly gotten much quiet....

Turning around, Girl froze on what she saw.

Lucifer's appearance now consisted of terrifying, monstrous red skin, blazing, fiery-red eyes, gold teeth, and fingernail claws.

He had become hairless and appears to be burned and scarred, with the shape of the skull being more distinct and many scar-like markings on the forehead.

It usually terrifies anyone who sees it, but it has less of an effect on those who have actually been to Hell.

Lucifer first gained his Devil Face because of his self-hatred, and judged himself a monster causing him to gain a horrifying and monstrous appearance.

God Himself was shocked by Lucifer's Devil Face and suggested that it was how Lucifer saw himself.

"L-L-Lucifer, what's going on? Where is my boyfriend?!"

Hermione tried to cover back in nothing but pure terror, she now had a horrified look on her face.

But she couldn't even move, her legs seemed to have given up!

There was something different in her tone of voice and Lucifer couldn't help but wonder if she'd.....

"W-w-what are you?" she asked next, her throat dried up, it felt extremely cold and being drowned in molten lava at the same time.

Her body glued to the spot, body hairs stood up, and shivering like crazy.

Lucifer didn't answer, but instead just watched her. There was something so vexing about this girl.

"I've been trying to tell you," Lucifer felt nervous, but he still used mild exasperation in his voice.

"I'm the Devil."

"That's… that's not possible," Hermione said, she'd clutched her wand now though it hardly mattered.

"I assure you, Hermione, it is," Lucifer said defiantly, now transforming back to his good-looking human face, which caused the girl to let out a huge gasp.

"I mean, you've said so yourself there are things you can't explain. I am not so-called - Merlin's Descendant."

"You need more proof? You've got the wand. Come on, use the Killing curse on me."

"First it's a crime, besides I would never....on you," Hermione replied, she had now somehow gotten over her lack of courage now.

"Sure you can," Lucifer said easily. "Go on, give her a flick, we'll be good to go."

"No."

"Just use the curse, Hermione! Please because maybe you'll finally realize-"

"Diffindo!"

But his words were interrupted by a loud noise of bang.

Lucifer felt a point of pressure on his lower leg. Such a sweet girl, she hadn't even gone for a blasting spell.

"There, now do you believe me?" Lucifer asked moving his leg on the ground to indicate, spell did nothing on him....

"Or was just a leg shot not enough to convince you, hmm? How about the head next time?"

Hermione just stared at him, or more accurately, at his leg.

"Maybe I missed," she said, but it was almost a mumble, like she was trying to convince herself.

"Just give it here," Lucifer sighed, reaching forward and grabbing her wand.

Pointing it at himself.

"Avada Kedavra!"

"LUCIFER, NO!"

Fired at his own chest, once again feeling that slight flick of pressure this time right over his heart.

"Is that enough for you?" he asked.

"Or do you need me to show you my Devil face again? Though I do prefer to reserve that for people I don't like."

Again she just stared at him, almost unblinking.

"You're the Devil," Hermione said, under her breath.

"Haha...That is what I've been known for the last few thousand milenia, yes..."

Run! Bathroom!

Lucifer went to knock on the door.

Slowly the door opened just a crack, stopped short by the security chain that prevented it from opening further.

"Are you alright, Hermione?"

"Why did you follow me?"

She whispered.

This was so foolish. He could barely hear her through the door let alone see her face when she replied.

"Open the door, Hermione," Lucifer asked nicely, it gave him a sense of deja-vu from the troll incident.

"This is hardly any way to hold a conversation."

"What will you do to me if I open it?" she replied.

"Well speak properly, of course," Lucifer said. "Rather than whispering through a door."

But he could tell just by the sliver of her face he could see that she was not about to do that.

"It's just a door, Hermione," Lucifer sighed, this night he knew it was one of the most important, if he wanted to stay here ....

"It isn't strong enough to stop me. You know, I could break it effortlessly. I just want to talk."

"If you really are the Devil," Hermione began quietly. "Then why are you here talking to me?!" she almost yelled.

Lucifer wasn't focused on what she was saying but rather the fact that she'd stepped back from the door.

Gently so as not to create any ricochet behind the door, Lucifer reached up and broke the chain.

He then slowly stepped forward.

"Ah yes, much better," he said, smiling. "Now we can talk properly."

"Leave me alone," Hermione said next, backing away from him while keeping both eyes on his face.

"There's no need for this," Lucifer said calmly. "We've been together for years already or have you forgotten?"

His words seemed to have no effect so Lucifer held up his hands and continued, "I'm not going to hurt you, Hermione. I would never hurt you."

"But if you really are the Devil then you're evil," she said, softly under her breath.

Something deep inside Lucifer tied itself into knots at her words. It was a strange feeling and one he'd never felt before.

He didn't like it.

She hadn't been a believer before so where was she getting this from.

Lucifer flashed his memories back, and realised for a second when he was at Granger's Residence to pick her up, one book inside her room....

"Ah, now I remember, been doing some research on me then, have you?" Lucifer smiled.

"Let's hear it, what do those religious zealots think I've done this time, hmm?"

"How many people have you killed?" she asked slowly.

Lucifer could tell just by looking at her body language that every inch of her wanted to run, and it hurt.

He wasn't sure why this one human's opinion of him mattered so much, but somehow it did.....sigh he knew the reason...just been denying for a while.

"None before the World Cup," Lucifer replied easily, reapers aren't human so they don't count.

"Angels aren't allowed to kill humans, unless you need to save a pure one. It's one of Dad's rules, and I might add, one that I've never considered breaking."

"But you're the Devil," Hermione said again.

"Yes and the Devil is a fallen Angel, or didn't you do your research thoroughly enough," Lucifer replied, stiffly.

He just couldn't help but be sharp with her.

The pain she was causing him was altogether too new and too excruciating for him to keep his voice charming.

She was just staring at him now, still posed to run, but at least the look on her face had more curiosity in it than fear now.
