Harry Potter: Return From Future

Chapter 43: Situation in the Compartment

Harry, after dropping Hermione to her residence, had returned back to Potter Manor. This had been his last meeting with Hermione before Hogwarts would open.

She was going on a small tour with her parents to eastern Europe. For Hermione seeing, visiting new things where she could ask a lot of questions and gather a lot of knowledge was pure bliss.

Harry was now sure that Barty would be on his way towards Albania where Barty's 'fateful' meeting with Peter would take place and Harry's orchestrated plan would proceed. He did not need to do any more of this manoeuvring. Hopefully.

"Dobby," Harry called as soon as he took his seat in the hall of the Potter manor.

The house elf popped in as he greeted, "Lord Potter."

"How is she doing?" Harry asked.

"Winky is not good. Winky is crying and beating herself," said Dobby with a sad expression. "Winky blames her for not listening to his master's words. Winky is also not eating any food."

Harry nodded, "Ok."

"Take care of her and make sure she eats enough and does not beat herself," said Harry.

Dobby nodded.

"I will meet her on a later date," he said.

Dobby nodded and popped away from the hall.

The two weeks have passed and Hogwarts new session was now starting. Harry had nothing to do in these 2 years and had remained idle.

His most of the time had been spent gazing into the water stream next to the Potter Manor or simply lying on the soft green grass of the Potter manor.

Harry had apparated in an isolated street behind the King's Cross Station after which he had walked to platform 9 and 10.

A brown haired girl had already been waiting for him at the station.

"Harry," Hermione bounced in joy seeing Harry after a long gap of 2 weeks.

She quickly took hold of his hands and only the presence of other pedestrians had kept Hermione from throwing herself into Harry's arms.

"Hermione," said Harry as he slowly caressed her face.

She flushed red and muttered meekly, "Harry…"

Harry shook his head in amusement.

"Let us go," said Harry as he walked towards platform 9 ¾. Hermione followed behind while pushing her cart.

The other side of the platform was mostly empty. The duo had arrived early and very few students had arrived. Certainly not the Weasleys.

Hogwarts had already been stationed at the platform and the few students had taken their seats.

After Hermione walked in, Harry waved his fingers and just like, when they had been leaving Hogwarts after their third year, the large trunk in Hermione's cart shrunk in size to almost a miniature version.

Hermione's face again lit up witnessing this. She picked up the trunk in visible awe and placed it in her robes.

"Harry," she said. "This time… during the train ride itself, you have to teach me this. Now I can use magic."

"Fine," Harry agreed.

A grin spread on her face and her happiness was quite palpable.

"Let us take our seats," Harry said and the duo boarded the Hogwarts Express.

They had walked few distance in the corridor of the train and Harry was about to look for an empty compartment when the gate of a compartment opened with a bang.

4 students emerged from the compartment with laughter echoing among them and a grin of 'accomplishment' hung on their faces.

They stiffened seeing Harry standing so close them and their laughter got struck in their throats.

Harry did not budge and despite their will to 'force' Harry away, they felt fear creeping in their hearts and they squeezed past him.

Harry moved towards the compartment when Hermione still not understanding Harry's behaviour interrupted, "Harry… the compartment seems occupied…"

"Let us take a look first," said Harry as he pushed the gates open and entered inside. Hermione followed suit.

On one of the berths, a girl was seating with her head resting on the glass pane of the window. She had blonde hair which were in a dishevelled state. The girls' face was expressionless and even Harry and Hermione's entry did not draw any reaction from her.

On the opposite side, on the other berth, a metallic trunk was placed. The trunk was open and things which should have been inside the trunk were sprawled across the compartment. Books were torn… wet…

The clothes had been stomped by the shoes and dirty shoes imprint were clearly visible on the dress.

The clothes the girl had been wearing herself were also in dishevelled state and they had been badly pulled. Harry could spot 3 tears in the robe; the girl had been wearing.

And the girl was wearing no shoes… they were missing.

"Harry," Hermione muttered slowly. Her face seemed anxious and it did not take a genius that the girl had been bullied.

Harry did not answer and the atmosphere in the compartment turned even more tense.

"It seems that they had nothing left to do for you, Harry Potter," an expressionless voice of the girl was heard as it echoed in the small compartment. "They alone had their fun."
