HARRY POTTER :Rebirth in Time.

Chapter 10: Chapter 10: The Calm Beforethe Storm

The Gryffindor common room was eerily quiet as Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Daphne sat huddled around the crackling fireplace. The weight of their discovery in the Chamber of Secrets hung over them like a storm cloud, pressing down with each passing second. Tomorrow night, Malfoy and his followers would enact their ritual—unless they could stop it.

Hermione's quill scratched furiously against parchment as she scribbled notes, pausing only to glance up at the others. "I've been going through everything we know. If they're planning to use Ginny or someone like her, they'll need time to set up the ritual properly. Blood magic isn't quick—it requires preparation, and a very specific location."

Ron, still pale from their earlier conversation, clenched his fists. "So where do you think

- 117 - they'll do it? The Chamber again?"

Hermione shook her head. "Not necessarily. They were there last night, but that doesn't mean they'll perform the actual ritual there. Blood magic needs to be done in a place where the magic is strongest."

Daphne, who had been listening silently, finally spoke. "The Founders built Hogwarts over ley lines—powerful intersections of magical energy. The Chamber of Secrets is one of them, but there are others." She pulled out a map of Hogwarts and traced her finger along several key locations. "The Astronomy Tower, the Forbidden Forest, even the dungeons beneath the castle. If Malfoy and his group want to channel enough power, they'll need one of these places."

- 118 - Harry leaned forward, his green eyes filled with determination. "Then we split up. Hermione, you and Ron check the Astronomy Tower. Daphne and I will take the dungeons."

Ron grumbled but nodded. "And what about Ginny? We can't let her out of our sight."

Hermione sighed. "I'll keep an eye on her when I can, but we can't make it obvious. If Malfoy realizes we're onto him, he'll move faster."

Harry looked at Daphne. "You think you can get anything more out of Blaise?"

Daphne's expression darkened. "Maybe. But he's starting to get suspicious. If I push too hard, he might cut me off."

- 119 - "Then be careful," Harry said, his voice gentle but firm. "We can't afford to lose you inside their circle."

Daphne smirked. "Touched by your concern, Potter."

The Next Day – Gathering Allies

Despite the overwhelming sense of urgency, Hogwarts went on as if nothing was wrong. Students laughed in the corridors, teachers handed out assignments, and the castle breathed with its usual life. But for Harry and his friends, every moment felt like a countdown to disaster.

At lunch, Luna Lovegood sat across from Hermione, her wide eyes filled with curiosity. "You all look very serious today," she said in

- 120 - her usual dreamy tone. "Planning something exciting?"

Hermione glanced at Harry, who nodded subtly. She leaned in and whispered, "Luna, we need your help. Something's happening… something dark."

Luna's serene expression didn't waver. "I know," she said simply.

Harry blinked. "You… know?"

Luna nodded, playing with a strand of her blonde hair. "I've felt it. The castle's magic has been… restless. Almost like it's whispering secrets no one wants to hear."

Hermione exchanged an uneasy glance with

- 121 - Harry. "We think Malfoy and his group are planning something big. We need you to keep an eye on things, especially around the Astronomy Tower and near the forest."

Luna's expression turned serious. "I can do that. The stars have been acting oddly lately, anyway."

Ron, who had been listening skeptically, sighed. "Of course, the stars."

Luna smiled. "Don't worry, Ronald. I'll make sure to tell you if they start screaming."

Ron turned pale. "Right. Thanks."

The Forbidden Forest – A Clue Uncovered

- 122 - As night fell, Harry and Daphne slipped through the grounds, making their way to the edge of the Forbidden Forest. They had decided to check the ruins again, hoping to find any signs of recent activity. The wind howled through the trees, sending leaves scattering across their path.

"You think they're really stupid enough to do it here?" Daphne whispered, her wand held at the ready.

Harry shrugged. "I don't know. But I don't want to take any chances."

They moved cautiously through the underbrush until they reached the clearing where the ruins stood. Moonlight bathed the ancient stones, making the carved runes shimmer faintly.

- 123 - Daphne crouched, running her fingers over one of the markings. "These symbols… they're changing. The magic here is being disturbed."

Harry frowned. "Meaning they're preparing for something?"

Daphne nodded. "Definitely."

Before they could investigate further, a rustling noise caught their attention. Harry raised his wand, stepping in front of Daphne instinctively. From the shadows, a figure emerged.

Theodore Nott.

He smirked, twirling his wand lazily. "Well, well. Potter and Greengrass. Funny seeing you here."

- 124 - Daphne straightened, slipping back into her Slytherin persona. "We could say the same, Nott. Taking a midnight stroll?"

Nott chuckled. "You could say that. Or maybe I'm just making sure you two aren't poking your noses where they don't belong."

Harry's grip on his wand tightened. "You're making a big mistake, Nott. Whatever you're involved in, it won't end well."

Nott's smirk widened. "That's where you're wrong, Potter. You see, for once, we're the ones in control. And you? You're just running out of time."

Before Harry could respond, Nott twirled his wand again and disappeared into the shadows.

- 125 - Daphne let out a breath. "That was too close."

Harry's jaw tightened. "We need to move faster. Tomorrow night… it's going to be worse than we thought."

The Final Plan

Back in the Room of Requirement, the group gathered, laying out their final strategy. Hermione spread the map across the table, marking key locations they suspected Malfoy might use.

"We'll keep watch at all the ley line points," she said. "Ron and I at the Astronomy Tower, Luna by the forest, and Harry and Daphne in the dungeons."

- 126 - Harry nodded. "If they try anything, we stop them before it begins."

Ron clenched his fists. "And if they come after Ginny?"

Harry's green eyes burned with resolve. "Then we fight."

Daphne leaned against the wall, arms crossed. "Just remember, Potter—Malfoy isn't stupid. He knows you'll come. This time, he'll be ready."

Harry looked at her, his expression unwavering. "So will we."

As the meeting ended and they went their

- 127 - separate ways to prepare for what lay ahead, Harry couldn't shake the feeling that tomorrow would bring more than just another fight. It would bring a reckoning.

And he was ready.
