Harry Potter : Cael Vale’s journey to Hogwarts

Chapter 116: A Good Lesson

Cael's patience snapped.

In one swift, practiced movement, his wand was in his hand, pointed directly at Fischer. His eyes burned with fury, his heart steady—he was ready.

Fischer's grin widened. "Yes , yes thats what I wanted to see , The little Mudblood wants to play? Be my guest."

"Flipendo!" Cael roared, the Knockback Jinx slamming Fischer straight in the chest. He stumbled backwards down the hill, nearly falling flat.

Colby reacted instantly, his wand already raised, firing a curse.

Cael sidestepped, the spell sizzled past his shoulder. He snapped his wand toward Colby, eyes sharp. "Descendo!"

The ground beneath Colby's feet gave way, turning to soft mud. Colby sank knee-deep with a startled yell.

"Don't just stand there, you idiot!" Fischer barked, regaining his footing.

Cael advanced quickly, wand steady. "Bombarda!"

The explosive blast struck the ground near Fischer, throwing dirt and rocks into the air. Fischer dove aside, rolling behind a boulder.

From the corner of his eye, Cael saw Colby wriggling free from the sinking ground. He spun toward him.

"Depulso!"

Colby was blasted backwards, crashing into a small tree, branches snapping as he hit the ground hard.

But Fischer was already back, firing a hex. Cael ducked behind a rock, rolling to his feet.

"Confringo!"

The Blasting Curse exploded near Fischer, forcing him to leap away, his shield barely holding.

"You'll pay for that," Fischer hissed, circling Cael, trying to flank him.

Two on one—it wasn't ideal, but Cael stayed calm, calculating every move.

Colby recovered, joining Fischer on the other side, trying to trap him in a pincer.

Cael's mind raced. He faked left—then snapped his wand right.

"Diffindo!"

The Severing Charm sliced clean through the branch above Colby. It fell, cracking him across the back, forcing him to stumble.

Taking advantage of the distraction, Cael spun toward Fischer.

"Levicorpus!"

Fischer's body jerked upwards, dangling by his ankle, robes flailing as he cursed and struggled mid-air.

"Oh come on, that look suits you , you Fucking piece of shit," Cael taunted.

"Liberacorpus!"

Fischer crashed down hard, groaning as he hit the dirt.

Colby, eyes blazing, charged forward, firing spell after spell. Cael weaved through them, his wand flashing.

"Expelliarmus!"

Colby's wand flew from his hand, spinning into the grass.

But Fischer wasn't done. Still down, but aiming his wand. Cael threw up a shield.

"Protego!"

The shield absorbed the blast, rippling from the impact.

Before they could regroup, Cael pressed the attack.

"Stupefy!"

The red bolt soared, but Fischer deflected it just in time, grinning through clenched teeth.

"You're fast, I'll give you that," Fischer spat, eyes full of hatred. "But not enough."

Colby retrieved his wand, the two of them advancing, spells flying. The ground erupted, fire and debris everywhere. Cael ducked, rolled, his mind sharp.

They tried to trap him again, closing in from both sides.

Cael grinned, a plan forming.

He dived behind a rock, firing upward.

"Glacius!"

The spell burst into a freezing mist, coating the ground in slick ice.

Colby slipped first, arms flailing as his feet shot out from under him, crashing to the ground.

Fischer's boots slid across the frozen grass, trying to keep his balance. Perfect.

"Petrificus Totalus!"

Fischer's body froze mid-slip, crashing to the ground stiff as a board, eyes wide with fury.

Colby scrambled up, aiming for Cael, but the moment his wand lifted—

"Immobulus!"

The freezing charm locked him mid-motion, his spell fizzled uselessly at his fingertips.

Cael circled them both, breathing steady, every move calculated.

But Fischer's magic was strong, cracks forming in the Full Body-Bind. Colby strained, breaking through the freezing charm slowly.

They weren't finished yet.

Fischer freed himself with a roar, firing dark magic, wild and dangerous.

"Reducto!"

Rocks shattered beside Cael, the blast sending dust everywhere.

Cael leaped aside, eyes narrowing. His hand tightened on his wand. Time to finish this.

He stood tall, his voice calm.

"Aegis Vitae."

The ancient shield burst to life around him, glowing pale blue, its light warm and steady. The magic repelled the curses, healing his bruises, his smaller cuts sealing instantly.

Fischer fired again, but the spells fizzled against the shield. Cael advanced through the barrage, unstoppable.

Colby stumbled to his feet, joining Fischer, the two brothers standing side by side, their pride shattered, but their fury burning.

Cael smiled coldly. "You cling to your ancestors. But power? That's earned."

Fischer's eyes widened as Cael's wand snapped toward them both.

"Confringo!"

The explosion threw them off their feet, crashing them hard to the ground.

Before they could rise, Cael's wand flicked again.

"Depulso!"

The force hurled them backwards, tumbling across the frozen grass like ragdolls.

Fischer coughed, barely holding his wand, his face pale with rage and humiliation.

Cael walked closer, his magic still humming, the blue and silver glow of Aegis Vitae pulsing around him.

"You talk about power like it's your birthright," Cael said coldly. "But tonight… you learned otherwise."

Fischer opened his mouth to speak—but Cael was faster.

"Stupefy!"

The stunning bolt struck true. Fischer's body went limp, eyes rolling back as he collapsed.

Colby, gasping, tried to rise, but Cael's wand leveled at him.

"Expelliarmus!"

The wand flew from Colby's hand, spinning uselessly away.

Cael stood over them, victorious, breathing hard but calm.

"Next time," Cael warned, voice low, "bring more than family pride."

He snapped their wands in half and threw the pieces at them. Fischer's face twisted with fury as he shouted, "You little mudblood! Do you think you've won? No—I'll make you regret this. I'll come after those you love. I'll torture them so much, and when they beg for mercy, I'll tell them it was because of you."

Beside him, his brother stood frozen, staring at his broken wand in pure shock. To a pure-blood wizard, a broken wand was the deepest insult.

Cael looked at them both, smirking. "Good luck with that, losers."

And with that, he started beating the shit out of them. Blow after blow landed as he delivered a good, hearty beating, not stopping until they were groaning on the ground. Realizing they had made quite the commotion, Cael shifted into his cat form and slipped quietly back into the castle.

After some time, the Frey brothers finally dragged their bruised and injured bodies toward the castle. Fischer's brother whimpered, "Let's go to the hospital wing, Fischer… it hurts a lot…"

"Shut the fuck up!" Fischer snapped sharply, his face flushed with humiliation. "You want to humiliate me in front of everyone? You want them to know I was beaten by a fucking second-year mudblood? Now hurry up, before the professors—or worse, Dumbledore—shows up."

Grumbling in pain, they limped back to the Slytherin common room.

Meanwhile, the professors had arrived at the scene. Hagrid was already there with Fang, pacing near the wreckage. Professor McGonagall approached, her eyes narrowing as she took in the damaged tree and scattered stones.

"Hagrid, what's happening here? It looks like a fight broke out," McGonagall asked sharply.

"I dunno, Professor McGonagall," Hagrid replied, scratching his beard. "I just got 'ere meself. But I saw flashes of spellfire an' heard loud bangs. By the time I got 'ere, there wasn't no one 'round… just this mess."

Dumbledore stepped closer, his expression unreadable as his blue eyes swept over the area. "All of you, patrol the castle. Heads of House should check their dormitories to ensure no students are out of bed. Rubeus, search the castle grounds."

McGonagall turned to Dumbledore, concern tightening her face. "Albus… what's happening here? Do you know something?"

Dumbledore's gaze darkened slightly. "No, Minerva… but I suspect… they've started again."

At his words, McGonagall's worry deepened, and she quickly set off to check on her young lions.
