Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Escape Plan Initiated
Harry sat on his cot in the cupboard under the stairs, staring at his glowing quest log.

• Prepare for your Hogwarts journey (0/1)
Reward: +50 EXP, +1 INT, Wand Selection Quest unlocked
He had successfully hidden the letter from Uncle Vernon, but the hardest part was yet to come—getting his supplies. The Dursleys would never willingly take him to Diagon Alley, which meant he needed an escape plan.
"Alright, Potter," he muttered to himself. "Time to be smart about this."
First things first, he needed a way to gather information. Tapping his chin, he whispered, "Observation."
[Skill Activated: Observation Lv. 1]
Provides insights and additional details about objects and people.
+5% chance to detect hidden elements.
A faint glow surrounded his surroundings, highlighting small details he wouldn't have normally noticed—the barely concealed envelope peeking from beneath his mattress, a loose floorboard in the corner, and… his cousin Dudley's jacket hanging over a chair in the hallway.
Harry's eyes narrowed. If he could sneak some money from Dudley's pockets, it might just be enough to get him to London. He opened his Stealth skill window.

"Alright," he whispered, creeping out of the cupboard and into the hallway. He reached into Dudley's jacket pocket, fingers carefully feeling around the thick fabric. The screen in front of him flickered.
[Skill Check: Stealth - SUCCESS]
You have acquired £10.00!
Biting his lip to contain a triumphant grin, Harry stuffed the money into his pocket and slipped back into his cupboard.
"One step closer," he whispered, sitting down and checking his new objective.

Harry sat back, deep in thought. The closest train station was about a twenty-minute walk away, but getting past his aunt and uncle without them noticing would be the real challenge.
Escape from Number 4
Harry spent the next few days perfecting his timing. Using his Observation skill, he learned that Aunt Petunia liked to chat with Mrs. Figg every afternoon at exactly 3:00 PM, and Uncle Vernon was at work until late. That left only Dudley, who was usually too busy playing video games to care what Harry was up to.
The night before his planned escape, Harry reviewed his progress.

The next afternoon, Harry packed what little he had—a worn jacket, his hidden Hogwarts letter, and a loaf of stale bread (his previous quest reward). He waited for Petunia to leave, and once he heard the front door click shut, he made his move.
Sneaking through the hallway, he reached the front door.
[Skill Check: Stealth - SUCCESS]
You have avoided detection!
Grinning, he slipped out and hurried down the street. His heart pounded in his chest as he made his way to the train station, his mind racing with thoughts of what lay ahead.
Platform Nine and Three-Quarters?
When Harry finally arrived at King's Cross Station later that day, he stood in front of the large departure boards, scanning for anything remotely magical.
"Platform Nine and Three-Quarters," he muttered, scratching his head. "They've got to be joking."
A new notification popped up.
[New Quest: Find the Platform]
• Locate Platform 9 ¾ (0/1)
• Ask for help without revealing too much (0/1)
Reward: +30 EXP, Train Ticket to Hogwarts
Harry sighed. He wandered the platform area, trying not to look suspicious. He spotted a plump woman with a kind face, surrounded by a gaggle of red-haired children.
"Come along, Fred, George!" she called, her voice warm and motherly.
Harry's eyes widened. Maybe they were his way in.
Taking a deep breath, he approached cautiously. "Erm, excuse me," he said nervously. "Are you going to Hogwarts too?"
The woman turned to him with a smile. "Oh, of course, dear! First year, are you? Just follow us, it's simple. Straight through the barrier between platforms nine and ten."
Harry blinked. "Through the barrier?"
"Yes, dear," she said kindly. "Just walk straight at it, and don't stop."

With a deep breath, Harry followed her instructions and walked straight at the barrier, his heart racing.
Instead of crashing into solid brick, he found himself stepping onto a bustling platform filled with students, parents, and a majestic scarlet steam engine.
"Whoa," he whispered, his excitement bubbling over.
