Yang Gi Thief (4)
Tae Young-won seemed to have come out to smoke. Mo Yeon stood there, his gaze fixed on him, lost in thought for a moment.
If they smoked together, he could at least try to brush hands by asking to borrow a lighter. But even that wouldn’t work if what’s in his pocket is an e-cigarette.
Just thinking about it seemed difficult, and a sense of regret washed over him.
Of course, he didn’t even know how to smoke, nor did he know how to naturally strike up a conversation with someone he barely knew in this situation…
It was a ridiculous fantasy to begin with, based on several wrong premises.
“Eyes.”
“…Pardon?”
Mo Yeon blinked at the voice that broke the silence.
Only then did he realize he had been staring for too long. In fact, unlike usual, he had forgotten that he wasn’t wearing his glasses. For a moment, he wondered if Tae Young-won had recognized him as his junior from school, but that wasn’t the case.
“You should be careful with your eyes. You’re making people misunderstand.”
Mo Yeon was a bit taken aback. It wasn’t just his imagination that Tae Young-won’s expression seemed cold; when their eyes met, he exuded a much sharper aura than Mo Yeon had seen at school. But there was one part of his words that Mo Yeon didn’t understand.
“What misunderstanding?”
“That some guy is eyeing my dick. It’s disgusting my mood from the morning.”
Huh…?
Mo Yeon gaped blankly.
He could only doubt if those words really came from Senior Tae Young-won. The kind smile he wore at school was nowhere to be seen, replaced by a cold, biting gaze.
And Tae Young-won seemed to interpret Mo Yeon’s silence as some kind of affirmation.
“I might understand, but let’s not make it obvious. It’s really disgusting.”
“…”
“Actually, I don’t even understand.”
Sighing, he walked past Mo Yeon coldly. His eyes flashed with contempt.
It seemed he had seriously misunderstood something.
Mo Yeon muttered in a voice as tiny as an ant, inaudible to Tae Young-won’s retreating back as he left the building first.
“You were the one trying to rub your lips on another guy when you were drunk…”
How did he even get into university? With such poor memory. Not remembering the many times they’d crossed paths in the lecture hall and corridors. How come he’s so unpleasant every time they meet at home, unlike at school?
‘I should have just kneed him back then.’
That would have relieved his anger and charged up his yang energy more.
After standing dumbfounded for a while, Mo Yeon went out to find Tae Young-won smoking as expected. He glanced at Mo Yeon coming out of the door, and when their eyes met, he furrowed his brow roughly once again.
Wow.
Feeling utterly dumbfounded, Mo Yeon showed him his middle finger before quickly turning around and walking away.
Of course, he didn’t have the courage to take his hand out of his pocket while raising his finger and making a fist again.
If we’re being honest, I’m the one who was harassed…!
The harsh words and arrogant attitude Tae Young-won had just shown were not something Mo Yeon could see at school. From the way he looked at him to completely misunderstanding his intentions, everything was typical of someone who had lived his entire life looking down on everyone.
Honestly, Mo Yeon thought there must be a reason why people like Tae Young-won were always surrounded by others. Maybe they were kind or friendly to people.
But what kindness? Just now, he even felt like he was being used as a punching bag.
“I expected him to be different, but…”
He was so dumbfounded that he felt wronged for not being able to explain himself before leaving.
It seemed like he was hiding more than just one or two things.
Although there was some unexpected friction, well, he was someone who treated Mo Yeon like a new person every time they met anyway.
There’s no need to worry about it too much.
But Mo Yeon’s assumption that there was no need to worry was purely his own misconception. The problem started from then on.
It seemed that their last encounter had not only given Tae Young-won a serious misunderstanding and illusion, but also firmly planted Mo Yeon’s existence in Tae Young-won’s mind.
That his gay neighbor was living right next door, intensely coveting his impressive lower body.
“Ah, fuck.”
No matter what, Mo Yeon couldn’t believe his ears at the curse coming from right next to him.
Even after learning about Tae Young-won’s true face, Mo Yeon wasn’t too afraid of dealing with him, thinking he wouldn’t remember him anyway. But now, it’s a different story.
What reason is there to curse when I didn’t do anything!
“Are you cursing at me?”
Mo Yeon’s eyes narrowed as he held a handkerchief tightly to his nose, facing Tae Young-won seriously.
He was already in a sensitive state, tired from his part-time job and now with a nosebleed on his way home, and he couldn’t understand what this sudden disaster was. His glasses were in his pocket as they were interfering with covering his nose.
As Mo Yeon glared at him, Tae Young-won raised the corner of his mouth arrogantly.
“What kind of thoughts are going through your head that you get a nosebleed just from looking at someone?”
“…?”
Until then, Mo Yeon didn’t realize what those words meant.
Looking closely again, Tae Young-won’s eyes were a bit different from usual. If before they just showed dislike, now they were looking down at Mo Yeon with an expression that seemed to say, “You’re something else.”
“Is that all you guys have in your heads? I’m really uncomfortable right now, what should I do about this?”
Now he could somewhat grasp Tae Young-won’s misunderstanding. He was just dumbfounded.
“Such a little thing already acting so brazen…”
“This isn’t what you think. Don’t hastily feel uncomfortable because of your misunderstanding.”
“As if it’s not.”
Mo Yeon hadn’t gotten a nosebleed from looking at Tae Young-won. He often got nosebleeds in the evening or at night, and he just happened to be waiting for the elevator with him.
Tae Young-won looked Mo Yeon up and down as he struggled to continue speaking, then smirked. It was an unpleasant smile, as if he was born superior and found life terribly tiresome. It was extremely irritating.
“Want to go to the police station with hyung?”
I just had a nosebleed, and he’s calling me brazen.
Police station?
Except for the fact that his life had been ruined by being able to see ghosts since childhood, this was the most unfair situation he had ever experienced in his life. Suddenly, he felt like he was going crazy from the injustice.
“I’m not… I’m not interested in your… that…”
Tae Young-won raised one corner of his mouth as if he found it ridiculous.
“Do you know what kind of eyes you use to look at people?”
“…”
Mo Yeon’s eyelashes trembled at the words that struck a sore spot. They even became slightly moist. This made Tae Young-won furrow his brow even more fiercely.
He didn’t want to be born like this either. Living as someone who makes others uncomfortable just by making eye contact was a very lonely thing.
“…I think you’ve seriously misunderstood something.”
Of course, he had only heard people say he made them uncomfortable before, but this was the first time he learned about such a misunderstanding. This is why he always wore glasses. He resolved never to go around without glasses again…
“I’ve seen two women you’ve brought here since I started living here. Think about it again. Maybe I looked because it was disgusting?”
Mo Yeon, now with reddened eyes, spoke carelessly in his upset state. Honestly, that wasn’t why he had looked, but that wasn’t important right now.
“Seems like you’ve been quite interested in me. I don’t remember encountering you much.”
“…!”
“Since when have you been watching?”
Mo Yeon, visibly startled, quickly added, not wanting to appear like a stalker who had moved in next door just to follow Tae Young-won.
“I didn’t count on purpose, it just stuck in my memory because it was so unusual. How can you interpret that as interest? You should see a doctor. For something like a prince complex or a narcissistic personality disorder.”
“Sorry, but I can’t hear anything because of your nasal voice.”
“…”
At those words, Mo Yeon’s eyes became even fiercer. Mo Yeon had clearly spoken as articulately as possible…
“And you should watch your words.”
“…”
“No matter how disgusting I am, I’m not as bad as you who gets excited regardless of place just because someone’s lips touched your neck once.”
In fact, if we’re being strict, Mo Yeon wasn’t getting a nosebleed because of Tae Young-won, but was in a position to stop the one that was already flowing.
“Those words…”
Mo Yeon looked at him with a dumbfounded expression.
There was something odd about his words. Now that he thought about it, it seemed like Tae Young-won remembered everything from the night they encountered each other when he was drunk. Even the part about getting excited against his will.
Mo Yeon had already been eyeing Tae Young-won’s yang energy. Just from touching his wrist and the slight brush of their lips, Mo Yeon had been able to sleep comfortably for three nights.
Nevertheless, he hadn’t approached him. He didn’t have the confidence to do it naturally, and it didn’t seem like a good thing to do.
“I’m saying don’t get any false hope from what I did when I was drunk. Even if I die and come back to life, this won’t ever react to you, so don’t even expect it.”
Tae Young-won said, nodding his head. It was an arrogant gesture pointing at his own crotch.
The more I hear, this guy…
“…Ha.”
Mo Yeon understood for the first time today what it meant to feel a burning rage in his chest. How could he do this to someone who had never once used the wireless charger right in front of him until now?
He had never been interested in what’s between someone else’s legs in his entire life. So, of course, he had never had any expectations about what’s between Tae Young-won’s legs.
In the moment when the thread of reason snapped, Mo Yeon removed the handkerchief from his face and pulled on Tae Young-won’s collar.
“…!”
Blood-stained lips pressed firmly against Tae Young-won’s lips.
Due to the height difference, Mo Yeon’s body, which clung to him as if hanging from his neck, lost balance and Tae Young-won’s back hit the wall.
He pressed his body even closer, their thighs touching, to prevent Tae Young-won from pushing him away.
With a smacking sound, Mo Yeon sucked on his lips and then looked straight into Tae Young-won’s eyes. Then, with fiercely raised eyes, he firmly said:
“I even stopped my nosebleed, you bastard.”
