Chapter 245: The Meeting.
Kyle knew it was time to take this to the next level, as there was no telling when it would end.
This was why he had made inquiries about purchasing a house. No, mansions.
Jasmine was left with Aiysha as Kyle went about his day, he didn't want her to see her brother just yet as he didn't know the dynamic of their relationship.
It could either make or break what he was trying to do but he couldn't babysit as he had a goal to achieve.
Kyle knew Nakamura was using him but there was no doubt their relationship was beneficial.
He set up a meeting that Nakamura immediately accepted because he understood that Kyle was a person whose limit was the sky.
Only a selected few could resist the offer but it showed that it wasn't money Kyle was after. He was far too ambitious to want something that mundane.
An ambitious man was the most dangerous person in the world because there was no telling what he was willing to do to achieve it.
They picked a secluded area that only the richest of the rich could afford which meant Kyle had made sure to tell Nakamura to keep his assistant away.
Whatever he wanted to discuss with him, he didn't want the information to reach any third party.
They met and Nakamura noticed something right away, it was the way Kyle carried himself.
He looked far more confident in how he carried himself.
Nakamura had a hidden smirk as he realized he wasn't wrong about this man and was glad he made contact with him when he did.
"Kyle, it is good to see you again," Nakamura greeted him, offering his hand for a handshake.
A gesture Kyle willingly returned.
He gave Nakamura a firm shake but it was clear he was dictating the course of their relationship going forward.
"Nakamura, I'm glad you honoured my request. Forgive my choice of meeting, I have heard wonders about this place and wished to see it for myself," Kyle was learning the etiquette of the elite.
"Wow, he has changed so much," Nakamura thought to himself or was he always like this?
"Now, for business… We have concluded the movie that tied us together and I'm certain you're aware of the attempted takeover of my Agency," Kyle began, not even waiting for a waitress to come over to their table to take their order.
He had no time to dilly dally and Nakamura couldn't contain his smile because this man reminded him of him when he was younger.
"The movie has indeed concluded but I believe we have discussed our future relationship, have we not?" Nakamura asked, pausing briefly to allow Kyle to digest what he had just said.
"... And I'm aware of the attempted takeoff-!" Nakamura was interrupted by Kyle, who called the attention of the waitress.
"Nakamura… I'm aware that you came to my Agency to give unsolicited advice to my CEO?" Kyle cut him short and Nakamura had no idea who he was talking to.
This wasn't the same person he spoke to just weeks back but maybe it was because Kyle no longer needed to impress him that his true colors were beginning to show.
"That is correct. I'm a businessman, I was simply protecting my interest," Nakamura responded but he could tell Kyle didn't like this with a single look.
"Don't do that again, understood?" This was all Kyle said and Nakamura could feel the power dynamic change.
There was no other answer he could give but to comply and that was exactly what he did.
Nakamura nodded like a good boy and Kyle gave him an approving smile.
"I'm glad we are on the same page but now I need your connections to know what it would take to buy out the Agency that attempted to buy mine," Kyle said.
Showing the waitress what he wants with Nakamura doing the same.
"The Gifted House is currently valued at approximately over $100,000,000,000 due to its heavy influence in some of the world's most renowned talents today," Nakamura said.
He expected Kyle to react to the value but he didn't.
"So if I was to offer them double that, do you think they would sell?" Kyle asked but this hypothetical situation sounded like he could make it a reality at the snap of his fingers.
"Owning 100% rights is almost impossible but you can buy the shares of the shareholders there," Nakamura advised but there was one thing he left out.
These people had protection and not from the police because when he became too big.
You attract unwanted attention so there had to be a mutual understanding between them and those that had the potential to disrupt their operations.
"Is that so?" Kyle asked, sounding almost sarcastic.
"That is so…" Nakamura responded.
"Are you telling me there is something that money cannot buy?" Kyle asked but he could tell Nakamura's mouth had become tighter which was unlike him.
He was keeping something away from him and Kyle didn't like that.
"Say, do you think Distort would be able to turn down such an offer?" Kyle asked, indirectly threatening him.
"You never know until you try," Nakamura didn't bulge because if there was anything he knew better than the back of his hand. It was a shit test.
"Nakamura, what do you know about the woman in the mask?" Kyle asked but he noticed something out of place.
It was just for a moment but Nakamura looked unsettled for a split second.
"I know there is nothing good that comes from her… And she takes her privacy very seriously," Nakamura responded, this sounded like a warning for Kyle not to dig further.
"Is that so?" Kyle responded with a chuckle to quickly dispel the building tension but Nakamura had on a straight face.
"This is not a joke, Kyle," Nakamura added because he knew that if Kyle became too curious.
It wasn't just him that his actions would affect.
