Chapter 190: Oh! Silly me…
By destroying the poison, Katy was finally able to wake up. And the first thing she saw… was a handsome young man looking at her with the kind of curious interest a child would give to a new toy.
Her heart skipped a beat, and she immediately backed away.
Noah smiled at the scene.
"It's kind of hurtful to be treated like this when I just saved you, you know?"
"Shouldn't you be more… I don't know, a little more grateful, huh?" he asked, tilting his head softly—making his already absurdly handsome face even more unfair to look at.
Katy calmed down a bit after hearing he was the one who saved her. And with a few dots connected in her mind, she found out easily who this young man was.
"You are… Noah, right?" she asked softly.
She didn't know why, but she couldn't help but feel intimidated. It was like she was staring at a being who could devour her entire existence with a single bite.
It sounded insane. But Katy was a beast—and if there's one thing beasts are known for, it's their terrifying instincts.
And in this case, those instincts were screaming the truth.
Because Noah—after enslaving a literal divine being and winning a war against three champions with a kind of ease that bordered on parody—had reached the threshold of something terrifying.
He was now at the limit. One step away from SSS rank.
All he needed was to choose his Domain.
A twenty-year-old SSS-rank being.
Was that crazy?
Hell yes, it was crazy.
But the world—no, the universe—was even crazier. And soon, Noah would learn that for himself.
Noah tilted his head in mock surprise as he heard her question.
"Oh, silly me. I actually forgot to introduce myself this time."
He stood up slowly and with the kind of elegance you'd expect from someone proclaimed the ruler of a world.
"I am Noah Vaelgrim. The loving husband of many silver-haired goddesses. The Original Elysiari. The Architect of Talents. The True Anomaly. And the leader of many talented bastards."
He paused… then added with a little smirk:
"And oh, there is another title I like quite a bit… 'The Claimer of Worlds.'"
He nodded slowly, as if approving his own ridiculousness.
"Nice to meet you, Katy Valdor… Mother of Serpents."
Katy was stunned—but beyond stunned, she was awed. A young man like Noah, doing all of this before even reaching the age of full maturity?
She couldn't help but feel intimidated. His presence was too pure, too complete, too special.
And at that moment, she quietly praised her children for not being dumb enough to go against this monster.
Finally, she smiled—relieved.
"Nice to meet you, Lord Noah," she said, bowing her head in submission.
She didn't hesitate. She didn't resist.
Because she knew. Only under Noah… only close to him, could she break her limits and evolve beyond what she'd known. And Katy, oh Katy wanted that more than anything. Ever since she awakened her power to summon every serpent in this world, she'd tasted it—the thrill of overwhelming control. Now, she wanted more.
Noah could see it all. Every thought. Every little ambition. But he didn't say anything. He simply let it slide.
Because he only gave power to those who proved themselves. Like Lucius. Like Leona. Like Eric.
The rest? They could wait.
Forever if necessary.
He turned and looked at the divine soul floating quietly in the room. It hadn't said a word since.
Noah smiled.
"I'll leave this soul to you. You can stay here for now. My wife will inform you of your position later."
And like that, he disappeared.
There were still two more prisoners he needed to deal with.
…
Noah appeared in an underground prison beneath the castle. In front of him, bound tightly in chains, were Orien—the insane elf—and a dragon-beast hybrid Noah still hadn't fully figured out.
The moment Noah stepped into the room, Orien's voice echoed loud and gleeful:
"Oh! The man more beautiful than me is finally here!"
His voice was bright and carefree, as if he wasn't literally imprisoned like a common criminal.
Noah stared at him, mildly annoyed.
Either something was seriously wrong with this guy's head… or he had some kind of backup plan making him act this way.
And honestly? Noah believed the second possibility—even if every sign pointed toward the first.
"Who are you?" Noah asked, not in the mood for games.
He missed his women. And he wanted quality time—without interruptions.
Orien grinned wide. "I'm Orien Worldborn, heir of the Worldborn family. Blessed by the World Tree."
He said it without hesitation and with so much pride it made the dragon-man next to him do a double take. Clearly, this wasn't some no-name lunatic. His bloodline was legit.
But Noah didn't react.
Because in truth, he still knew too little about the powerhouses of this universe. And that…
'It's starting to piss me off,' Noah thought. 'Time to gather the girls and make Elira and Justicia spill everything about this damned universe.'
And while he was at it, he might as well track down that useless demoness Echidna and settle their deal once and for all.
He sighed and shook the thoughts out of his head.
"So why are you here?" he asked.
Orien just shrugged with a bright smile.
"I was bored. I heard about some Champion War going on in this world and figured… why not hop in and enjoy the show?"
He paused.
"And I wasn't disappointed. I saw some real monsters. Especially you, Noah Vaelgrim."
His grin faded, and—for the first time—Orien showed a serious expression.
"What are you, really? Because if your bloodline can make mine feel threatened… then that's no normal bloodline. And strangest of all—I sense something in you that feels like a blessing of the World Tree. But… different."
"Care to explain?"
His tone was polite, but there was something in it. Something like an order. And it made Noah smile.
"You must have something up your sleeve to be this arrogant, even chained. So why not tell me now—before I get surprised in a way I won't like?"
Noah had already checked him thoroughly—no hidden artifacts, no unknown seals, no strange body modifications. And yet, the elf was still acting smug as hell.
That made Noah cautious.
He didn't like unpredictable things.
Orien just smiled again and stayed silent.
Noah clicked his tongue, then turned to the beast next to him.
"I am Dany. A Draconian—a subspecies of True Dragons from our Mother World. I only came to observe and report back to our forces."
He didn't lie. He didn't hide anything.
Because when Noah froze him earlier, Dany had felt the power behind that act—and unlike Orien, he had no relic, no bloodline advantage. He was a simple draconian.
Noah nodded slowly. "You'll be handed over to Leona."
Dany blinked, confused. He didn't know who Leona was.
Noah smiled darkly.
"She's the girl you almost killed when you blew half her body apart. And… well, she didn't really enjoy that kind of treatment. So brace yourself, lowly beast."
"My dear disciple is… quite petty."
He grinned devilishly.
"Just like her dear master."
