Chapter 185: The Pathetic End of the Goddess’s Favorite
Justicia finally appeared in Laeh.
And she did it with a bang—her arrival alone killed half the population of Laeh and caused destruction everywhere. But nothing touched the center of the continent.
Because Justicia made it that way.
She didn't want to hurt Elijah. Not unintentionally.
And as she thought that, she looked at him—her champion, her sword, her love—and what she saw made her heart clench in pain… but also ignite with a deep, burning anger.
Her champion had become the eternal slave of someone else.
She didn't need anyone to explain. She could see it, with her level of power. The marks, the bindings, the truth in his soul.
And that's why—
"How dare you?" Her voice rumbled through the heavens, so divine, so absolute, that it made mortals feel the urge to kneel and worship her for all eternity.
She looked with divine fury at Noah, who just looked at her calmly.
"How dare I?" he said with a raised brow. "Why wouldn't I dare?"
"He was ready to kill all of us here. So what happened to him is fitting."
Justicia scoffed in disgust and anger. "He is my champion. He can do anything."
"So now, release him. Or I will destroy this whole world."
Justicia's power began to flare, and space itself started to crack and unravel.
But Noah didn't flinch. Didn't blink. He didn't give a single fuck about the display.
"Don't act," Noah said, smirking. "You're not fooling anyone, Justicia."
"You're too powerful for this world. And this world limits you greatly. You no longer have your original strength. Hell, I know you can't even stay here for long."
He paused, tilted his head slightly.
"How much time do you have left? Not even a minute, right?" he asked, voice thick with mockery.
And Justicia's body trembled—subtly—but enough for him to notice.
Because it was true.
She had been too impulsive. She used a huge part of her power upon arrival, obliterating half the world in a fit of divine rage. And now, only a sliver remained.
An SSS-rank level of power.
Because this world limit was just SSS rank.
She should have destroyed this whole world instead en entering it. But she couldn't because of Elijah.
And now she will pay the price. And even then, this wasn't the full punishment. The other factions—Celestials, Demons, Dragons, Elves, Beasts—they would never let this go.
After all, she had intervened in a battle between champions.
And that was not what they have agreed upon all together.
This act was a risk. A reckless one. One that would surely cost her greatly—all for her lover.
Because by now, Justicia knew… this world wouldn't be hers. No matter how much she had invested in it, the bitter truth was plain.
But there were countless worlds out there. She would not stagnate forever.
But Elijah?
There was only one of him.
And she couldn't lose him.
So she risked it all. Came to this cursed world for him.
And if after all that, she still couldn't save him—because her time was limited, and her power was only SSS-rank—something she could see wouldn't help him win against Noah, let alone in only one minute.
She clenched her fists. Hard. Very, very hard.
A Celestial like her… a Celestial Saint like her… someone who could destroy this entire weak world if given enough time… was now being mocked by a mortal.
Her pride was deeply wounded.
But she held it in.
"What do you want, mortal?" Justicia asked, forcing her expression to remain dignified.
Noah smiled inwardly.
He missed this.
This type of discussion. Where he held the leash. Where he had all the power. Where he could blackmail a goddess without even blinking.
Truly, it's a bliss.
"Let me remind you of your situation," Noah said. "You have less than one minute to possibly save your precious champion. You know that, don't you?"
He grinned.
"You can't do shit to me, Justicia."
He didn't even try to hide the arrogance in his voice. It bled through every word.
Justicia almost—almost—lost her composure. She wanted to slap him so hard his head would do a 180-degree spin.
But she didn't.
Because it was the truth.
'You… you will regret this,' she thought bitterly, the words burning inside her.
Noah saw her twisting expression and laughed inwardly.
Clearly, this woman wasn't used to being challenged.
She didn't even know how to hide her emotions.
Noah shook his head. Time to end this farce.
And what a daring thing to call it—a farce—when standing before a divine being.
But Noah didn't care.
His voice was calm. Steady.
He snapped his fingers—and instantly, a barrier fell over the battlefield. One that ensured only he and Justicia could hear what was about to be said.
Everyone else? Cut off.
"Let's go straight to the point, Justicia," Noah said. "You want Elijah's freedom, right?"
"Yes," Justicia replied. Her tone was cold, but there was a storm in her eyes.
"Then give me the same thing," Noah said. "Freedom for freedom."
He smirked.
"Do you understand what I mean, Justicia?"
"If you want his freedom, then I want you as my slave. After all… I should gain something from this fucking mess you created, right?"
Justicia didn't respond.
She couldn't.
She was too stunned.
Did this… mortal… just ask her—Justicia, a Celestial Saint—to become his slave?
Her expression twisted into one of pure rage as she shouted—
"YOU—!"
But before she could even finish—
"Silence."
The world went still.
Noah's concept.
Everything he said—became. Every word he named, carried the attribute he chose to give it.
So when he said silence—the universe obeyed.
Justicia looked at him, stunned, her lips frozen mid-scream.
"You may speak," Noah said, and instantly, she felt the ability return.
But she didn't speak.
She couldn't.
Her mind was reeling.
'What kind of concept is this…? Why does it feel so eerily similar to the Akashic Records…?'
And that's when she truly looked at Noah.
Not as a mortal.
Not as a brat who enslaved her lover.
But as something else.
Someone else.
And that's also when she finally noticed something… when her divine rage wore off, even just a little—
'He is… abnormally beautiful for a mortal.'
Something many already knew.
But still—it shocked her.
Because if he looked like this now… what would he look like at higher stages?
"You don't have much time left, Justicia," Noah said, his voice snapping her back to the moment.
"And let me make it clear—if you refuse, if you go back to where you came from…"
He smirked.
"I'll kill him. I have no interest in taking a male slave."
Justicia bit her lip hard in frustration.
But the thought of letting Elijah die?
It didn't sit right with her.
So—
Justicia did something she never thought she would do in all her life.
Something inconceivable for any divine being.
Justicia… accepted to bind herself to Noah.
To save Elijah from eternal enslavement.
And the moment she accepted—
The Akashic Records responded immediately as if only waiting for this.
{Justicia, Celestial Saint. Are you sure you are willing to be the eternal slave of Noah Vaelgrim?}
{Accepting means a point of no return. You will be eternally bound to him.}
Justicia hesitated. Her eyes flickered with resistance. Her heart was heavy.
But time… was not on her side.
So—
"I accept," she said. Her voice was hoarse.
She came to this world to save her lover—only to become a slave herself.
Justicia laughed.
But it was hollow. Bitter. Full of loathing.
Because she knew—if her faction learned what she had done for a man…
They would kill her. No hesitation. No mercy.
She had disgraced the Celestial race.
And without a doubt—she would be erased.
Meanwhile, Noah was reading the new title granted to him by the universe.
{Title: The Divine Enslaver}
{Your existence has been enhanced exponentially.}
{You have reached the next threshold.}
{Choose your domain and elevate yourself.}
Noah smirked.
But that could wait. There were still things to finish.
He stepped forward and slapped Elijah hard across the face.
Instantly, Elijah woke up, eyes blinking, head dizzy.
"W-Where… where am I?" he asked weakly.
"My love, are you okay? Don't worry, everything will be alright from now on," Justicia said quickly, eyes trembling, voice soft with affection.
There was no doubt, she truly loved him.
"Free him now. Like you promised," she added, looking at Noah.
Her tone… respectful. Almost submissive.
She feared he might use her new bindings against her.
Noah smiled wider.
"I did say I'd free him. And I will keep my word."
"But…"
Justicia's heart began to sink.
And Noah's grin widened even more.
"I never said I'd let him live, did I?"
"After all, isn't death a sort of freedom too?"
"No… no…" Justicia whispered. Her body trembled—but she didn't move.
Because she couldn't.
Noah stood before the broken Elijah.
No glory left. No pride. No light. No fire.
Only a pitiful shell.
Noah shook his head.
"I would've loved to let you live. But I don't like loose ends. Since the start… it was either you live—or I do."
"So go and die, Elijah Stoneheart The Chosen One."
Without hesitation, a golden sword appeared in his hand.
And with one flawless strike—
Elijah's head was severed.
Not just his body. His soul was cut too.
And as life started to escape his grasp, Elijah's mind cleared for a moment, and in that moment he couldn't help but wonder one last time…
'What…what did I do to you?'
Why him?
The response was simple.
It was just because he was the protagonist. He was the biggest tree. He was the brightest light. He was the hottest fire.
So, he became the target. After all, when you look for a goal, wouldn't you target something that stand out the most?
Noah did just that.
He targeted the brightest light and he finished by surpassing that light and snuffed it out.
Yes,
That confirmed it.
Elijah Stoneheart, the Champion of Light, was dead.
And at his death—
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
A deep, soul-tearing scream echoed through the world.
But to Noah?
It felt like music.
The song that marked the end of a long chapter.
Or more accurately—
The end of a long volume.
—End of Chapter 185—
—End of Volume 3: The Pathetic End of the Goddess's Favorite—
