Handler XX: Stock Maestro

Chapter 46: Some Stock Magic

"What sort of voodoo did you use?"

Oh? Would you look at her?

"That's not how you I expected to start my morning, Madam Theron."

The results must've been wild.

Marie turned to him and slowly opened her eyes.

Did that really work?

"Just answer me— is it some kind of magic?" Rosa scoffed,

"Results don't lie" he chuckled as he stood up.

"How much did you invest?"

"...500k"

So she invested just the amount she'd have used to buy the shares.

Smart.

He looked at the screen as another call came in

"The Senator's calling" he mused,

"That old man must be just as surprised" Rosa chuckled,

"How much did it make?" Marie whispered, shifting closer.

"Enough to make me regret not going higher" Rosa clicked her tongue, hearing her

"I'll add Mr. Montclair to this call" he turned to Marie with a smile

Just how much was it to make them surprised?

"Hello"

"Hey! Is it some superpower?" Montclair shouted as soon as the call connected

Wasn't he too surprised for an oldie?

"Analysis— I told you guys" he chuckled, opening his trading app.

"I don't think---"

"Really..." He chuckled as he saw the amounts reading.

Were they so surprised about this?

"How much did you use, Senator?"

"1 million— my daughter convinced me. I was going to use 500 thousand"

"Fuck... You mean you got more than me?" Rosa groaned.

Over +3800%.

+760 million dollars.

"Congratulations, guys" he laughed softly turning the screen to Marie.

She gasped as she saw the amounts.

I should've entered too.

"Wait..." Rosa gasped, "How much did you use?"

"Yeah..." Montclair added, "This old man is curious too"

"Guess" he mused, glancing at Marie

"You know---"

"Twenty."

"W–What?" She stuttered, "With current price— 760?"

"Wait a minute" Montclair cut in,

"760 million in profits? Does the company you invest with let you do that?"

"Yeah" he chuckled with a grin, "How else did I make 800 million? I even have a meeting with them today"

Nevell must've held back on calling because of what happened yesterday.

"Ah— forgive this old Man's ignorance. How are you? I got so excited and forgot"

Finally caring?

"Yeah—" Rosa muttered, "It must've been so bad. We left after the talk. It's just appearances"

"It was scary..." He replied with an exaggerated sniff, "You people only care about money. See how late it took you"

Marie chuckled watching him.

"This oldie is very---"

"He seems alright to me" Rosa huffed,

"I'll visit the company to sign the deal tomorrow— I'll bring some Reporters to create hype"

"Alright"

"Take care of yourself, Boy... I'll visit tomorrow with my daughter— that should be enough hype"

Great— A Senator and Popular Business tycoon should stir things up real well.

"Thank you..." He responded,

"So... any chance we can get more tips?" Rosa asked, jokingly.

"That'll cost you" he laughed,

She scoffed, disconnecting from her end.

"I look forward to our partnership, Sir"

"Take care of yourself, Kid" Montclair chuckled, hanging up.

He looked at the trading app again.

Already up to 780 million in profit.

A total of 800.

Sweet.

He glanced at Marie as she stood up from the bed,

"Want any gifts?"

"Not really..." She turned to him,

"Congratulations on being a billionaire... Drop by the eatery for free dinner later"

"Going there later?"

"Yeah. I've got to check how everything's going. Mia will be coming with me— she wants to try the hyped curry" she laughed softly, walking away.

It's great that they're getting along.

"I'll be visiting Slumbr Inc. later"

Ah.

Theo...

Let's go see how he's doing.

First... Let's get washed up. He sat back on the bed waiting for Marie to come out of the bathroom.

_______

"Good morning, Sir" Mia greeted as he walked into the dining room.

She was clearing the table. Most probably Theo's food.

"Good morning. How's he doing?" He asked, with a smile, heading towards his chair.

"He's alright— just a flesh wound. He's at the fields right now with Xander"

"Alright, thank you" he sat down to eat.

"Whoa!" Marie gasped, dodging Mia as she walked in.

"S–Sorry" Mia steadied what she held.

"It's okay... You still up for the eatery, yeah?"

"Yeah..."

"Alright..." Marie hummed as she took her seat.

"This is good..." he chuckled , looking up.

"Thank you"

________

"What's up?" He waved as he walked towards them.

"Good morning, Sir" Xander greeted,

"Good morning, Man... How's your leg, Theo?"

"I'm lucky to be alive, Cap" Theo laughed, turning towards the fields.

"That. And you've got a badass Queen."

He glanced at Xander as Trent cleared his throat.

He doesn't know?

Well... It's been a short time since they met.

"Life's not fair" he continued, stretching his arms wide.

"You love exaggerations" Trent scoffed as he stood besides him,

"After studying so much for Cyber security" he scoffed, "I end up as a Security with 12 million yearly. 12!"

Trent laughed, turning to Xander.

"Meet Mia for the contract— Pass one to Miss Serta. Tell her I'm grateful"

"Yes, Sir. Thank you very much" Xander bowed slightly.

"You need to have horses here" Theo giggled, "And more workers— this is too much stress for Xan and Mia"

Xan?

"Don't you think so too, Man?" He turned to Xander.

"It'll be beautiful— I know sellers" Xander chuckled

They're getting along well.

Good.

"I'll be going to Slumbr Inc." he turned back, "I've got a meeting"

"Alright, Sir"

"See you later, Cap"

_______

"Hello?" he answered as the call connected, focusing on the road.

"How are you, Twerp? You need a drink?" Anton answered, giggling.

"What's this about?"

"Remember the first mission?" Anton asked, "I need a drink" he teased, imitating Trent's voice.

Really? Trent scoffed.

"I've got something important right now and I need to focus"

"Is that embarrassment I hear?" He teased further,

"Embarrassment?" Trent scoffed,

"...I spoke with the Princess— she's not in any danger but she might have to lay low"

"Oh. Alright— that's good to hear. What else?"

"The basketball tournament— it's soon"

"Ah..."

"You haven't forgotten, have you?"

"Of course not"

"You'll meet Ornand Curry there and he'll give you information he has"

"Why can't he just send it to any of the branches?"

"Ornand has become quite cautious and wants to do a handoff— he chose the tournament for it"

"Isn't that suspicious?"

"Well... Some singers move their information through their concerts. You'll have support just in case"

Hmph. The support that couldn't show up earlier last night?

"Alright. Is that all?"

"...I hope you guys are alright"

Still worried?

"We are— Tell Cisco to send me the account details and we need to have a talk soon— you and me"

"What do we---"

"Don't worry. See you soon" he chuckled, hanging up.

Something needs to be done about the donations bullshit.

________

Nevell Hamilton seemed to have been flustered when notified that he'll still be coming for the meeting.

What was happening?

He shut the door and looked at the building.

So many cars parked— is there some event today?

He took his phone out and called Hamilton.

"S–Sir..." Hamilton stuttered as he answered the call,

"I'm outside right now" he answered, looking around,

"Is there something going on?" He asked, hearing the sound on the background.

"T–There's no problem, Sir"

"Is that Mr. Ackerman?" A voice from the background asked,

"Yes, Sir" Hamilton answered, "He's here"

"Go get him, then. We can't let him wait"

What's going on?

"I'll be with you soon, Sir. Just step into the building" Hamilton spoke on the phone,

"...Alright" Trent answered, hanging up.

_______

He sighted Hamilton rushing from the elevator as he stepped into the building.

"This way, Sir"

"What's going on? You seem stressed"

"It's no problem" Hamilton smiled, stopping to catch his breath for a second.

That doesn't seem to be the case though...

He smiled at the staff that was staring at them as he reached for his phone as it vibrated.

Scarlet?

"What's up?"

Hamilton turned to him,

"You're alive... Should I give an offering to the stars?" She answered, snickering.

"Depends on how much value I've got" he scoffed,

"To me, or to Kraven? Cause you're some hot shit right now to them" she chuckled

"What happened?"

"You became a billionaire today, no?"

"...yeah?"

He turned to Hamilton and nodded,

"Let's go, Mr. Hamilton"

"Who's there?" She asked

"I'm at the Brokerage company for a meeting. What do you mean, though?"

"They'll probably send someone to scout you for naturalization soon"

"A waste of time" he leaned his back on the elevator as it moved up

"Get ready for a bumpy season, then" she chuckled, "and... Shouldn't I be there for the meeting?"

"You?" He scoffed, glancing at Hamilton, "when did you get so interested in working?"

"Who says I am?" She huffed, "You owe me for last night"

"I owe the Madam" he muttered,

"And I don't treat my staffs bad"

"What?"

"You'll see... Gotta go" he hung up as the elevator stopped.

"We're here" Hamilton turned to him, as the door opened.

"Hello, Mr. Ackerman" A voice cut through from outside as the door opened.

Who's this?

And why is he so excited?
