A few years before the current events, Ali was teaching Kira a very important lesson in the Soul Field.

Ali:You already know about the two levels of soul manipulation proficiency, right?

Kira: Yeah, the novice level were your soul takes the form of a gun to act as a conduit to your abilities, and advance were you form your soul into anything you want to act as a conduit.

Ali: Well the second level is more like intermediate than advance. There's actually one more level you can reach. It's a form called a Secret Soul.

Kira: What?

Ali: The best way I can describe a Secret Soul is mixing your soul with the world around you to turn the world itself into the conduit. It can also act as an a form of armor as the space around you is completely merged with your ability and automatically protects you.

Kira: Okay, so just some more training and I'll master the form right?

Ali: Not that simple. A Secret Soul requires complete understanding of one's soul. Like I said, you're basically merging your soul with the world. Messing up even slightly can and will kill you. Though even a sloppy Secret Soul can be maintained for a couple seconds, I say 15 seconds max.

Back in the present, Kira activates her secret Soul, which covers her body in a veil of slashes that cuts any and everything that gets close to her.

Kira: (It's a rushed job but all I need is a few seconds, I don't even need to get close to him to cut him down.)

She draws 3 lines in the in the air with her finger at B14CK, anything in the front of drawn lines for 15 meters is cut without exception. Due to the fact that the attack did not travel, B14CK's Secret Soul was not able to erase it and he's sliced into 6 pieces. Kira deactivates her Secret Soul quickly to prevent further damage and falls to the ground exhausted.

Basco: Good job Mustard Bird. But since when the hell can you use a Secret Soul?

Kira: Since today. Here, take my sword and cut open that orb and grab Ali's soul.

Basco: Gotchu.

He retrieves the piece of the soul and Blair grabs the both of them to fly out of the crumbling building.

Basco: And now we wait to fall asleep and return to Ali-

They wake up right next to Gabriel and Yuuto, who just awoke as well.

Kira: Hey Yuuto, long time no see. Seem like you and Gabriel managed to get the other piece of the soul.

Gabriel: Yeah, went through a lot but we did it. Who are they?

Basco: What's good lil bro, I'm the one and only Basco.

Blair: And I'm Blair, pleasure to meet you.

Kira: We can continue introductions later, right now I guess we gotta see why Ali's here of all places and not the Soul Field like we planned.
