Mu Yuxi backed away from the people in front of her, but she couldn't move any further as the vines that were tied around her accomplice's feet, were also tied around hers.

She was imprisoned and couldn't move. Like a madwoman, she tried to get rid of the vines that were holding her down but she couldn't do it. No matter how she pulled and pushed, the vines continued to hold her down. She looked at the child in the arms of Fang Chi in horror and trembled all over.

In the darkness, she could see that the child was looking at her strangely. Clearly, the boy was just a baby but the gaze with which he looked at her did not belong to that of a child.

He did not look like a normal baby at all.

Mu Yuxi was so frightened that her legs turned to jelly. She fell on the floor and immediately pleaded, "Please let me off. Spare me, I will not dare to do it anymore. I don't dare to do it anymore. It is all that man… he was the one who asked me to come here and called for me——"

Before Mu Yuxi could plead anymore, the white panther that was standing next to Yu Mai rushed at her, with a loud growl she swiped her paw at Mu Yuxi.

Mu Yuxi struggled as she tried to escape from the paws of the white panther. Behind her, the two accomplices tried to escape as well but they were caught by the group of coyotes and the mercenaries.

Under the moonlight, the growling coyotes and the daggers in the hands of the mercenaries looked really terrifying.

The two accomplices who were cornered and caught almost vomited blood. This was not in the plan!

"Catch them alive!" Lang ordered. She was going to leave these bastards in the hands of Yu Dong and let her deal with them.

Ye Liu on the other hand was holding Yu Mai and was softly comforting him, "Go to sleep, my little Mai. Leave this matter to brothers-in-law, we will deal with it."

"That's right, go to sleep," Shen Li patted his two sons and said, "Daddy knows that you two are extraordinary and powerful. However, the more powerful you are the more heavier your burden will be. As Shen Li spoke the two boys fell asleep.

He then turned to look at Fang Chi and said to him, "Chi stay with the children."

"No," Fang Chi wiped the tears that had dripped down his cheeks and said to Shen Li, "That woman humiliated me, she came here to ruin me. It's only right that I extract my revenge from her."

No matter how gentle of a mer he was and how scared he was at the moment, it did not matter to Fang Chi.

His virtue had been tainted and it was because of him that the children of their families fell into danger.

He walked over to the rack and picked up an outer coat. He draped it over his shoulders and then picked up the butchering knife in his hands.

Ignoring the knocking and thumping on the door that belonged to Sun Jie, he walked out of the room.

They locked Sun Jie inside the room because they did not want to stress the poor mer.

Fang Chi walked over to where Mu Yuxi was lying. He was a gentle mer who never fought with anyone. When he was young he hid behind his grandmother and when he grew up he hid behind his wife.

But now he was going to stand up for the sake of his family.

Mu Yuxi was groaning on the floor as the vines were now holding her down by curling around her legs and waist.

The thorns on the vines were now digging dip into Mu Yuxi's skin and she was on the verge of falling unconscious.

When she heard footsteps, she stiffened and looked up. However, when she saw that it was Fang Chi she heaved a sigh of relief and said to him, "Let go of me, Chi… please, I was fooled by that man, I didn't mean——AHHHHHHH!!!"
