MOON NOA wasn't contented with Lee Sarang's verbal explanation.

Hence, he asked the Ice Queen to bring him to the suspicious laboratory.

That was how their little group ended up in Japan.

Yes, it's an overseas trip.

Moon Noa's little group was composed of Ryu Sungbin, Lee Sarang, and Matthew. When they arrived in Japan, Jin Sooin was already there.

Apparently, Lee Sarang and Jin Sooin worked together. But Lee Sarang had to return to Korea to make a personal report to Ki Gayoon before Ki Gayoon disappeared again. Anyway, Jin Sooin stayed behind the suspicious laboratory to make sure that the evidence left there wouldn't be tampered with.

And that was how their 'little group' caused panic for the Japanese Government and the Japanese Imperial Family.

After all, Moon Noa was the first S-Class Guide in the world.

Ryu Sungbin, Lee Sarang, Matthew, and Jin Sooin were all natural S-Class Espers that belonged to the Top 5— aka South Korea's strongest Espers.

I can see why Japan would think they are under attack.

Thankfully, an influential figure stepped in and fixed the misunderstanding.

"Welcome to Japan, our esteemed guests."

Oho.

Moon Noa raised an eyebrow.

I know Haru-nim is handsome since I've seen him in some social gatherings where the world's most important Espers and Guides gather, but he's more handsome up close.

Ah, yes.

Haru was the one who welcomed us and assured his government and family that Moon Noa's little group didn't mean harm.

Language barrier wasn't really a problem.

Moon Noa and the others could speak Japanese, and Haru could speak Korean.

Most Hunters gained the ability to learn foreign languages quicker than Civilians, after all.

"Noa-san?"

Oh.

I spaced out.

"Thank you for the warm welcome, Haru-nim," Moon Noa said after clearing his throat. "Like I explained earlier, we're here to check on the laboratory that my colleagues found in a dormant dungeon here."

By 'here,' he meant at the top of Mt. Kumotori.

It was one of the mountains in Tokyo.

"Noa-san, are you aware that Lee Sarang-san and Jin Sooin-san raided the dungeon you're talking about illegally?"

Aigoo.

Moon Noa turned to Lee Sarang and Jin Sooin accusingly.

The two ladies just avoided his gaze, obviously guilty.

Tsk.

Lee Sarang and Jin Sooin are working for Ki Gayoon, so this is Ki Gayoon's handiwork!

"As you know, South Korea's Top 5 Espers don't have the rights over the dungeons in our country," Haru explained politely. "Raiding a dungeon in our country without our permission can lead to a huge problem. I assume Noa-san and the others already know that."

Ah, wait.

Moon Noa felt like he had been tricked.

Lee Sarang came to me, asking me to raid the Lab that I was planning to raid. And I told Ki Gayoon about my plan in advance. So, when Ki Gayoon and his little group discovered the suspicious lab in this dormant dungeon, he probably figured out that the missing specimen was stolen by the Lab in Korea.

And, so, Ki Gayoon sent Lee Sarang to Moon Noa.

I've worked with Ki Gayoon several times in the past, so he knows I'm meticulous. So, I assume he knew that I wouldn't trust Lee Sarang's words easily. Ki Gayoon probably figured out that I would insist on checking the lab with my own eyes.

In short, all of this was Ki Gayoon's plan.

That bastard wanted me here.

And solely for one reason.

He wants me to clean up after the mess he created because he's too busy hunting down Song Heejin!

Haaah.

Moon Noa was pissed as hell, but he still flashed his business smile at Haru. "Sir, should we negotiate?"

Haru smiled back as if he were waiting for it.

Of course, he would be. He could have arrested Jin Sooin while Jin Sooin was alone. And he could have waited for us at the airport instead of appearing here on the mountain.

But Haru hadn't done any of that.

In fact, the ex-Crown Prince even came alone.

Well, technically, he's alone. But even a Guide like me could tell that the mountain is surrounded by Haru's subordinates.

Anyway, it was obvious that Haru wanted to negotiate instead of fighting.

"I only have two conditions, Noa-san."

"Tell me."

"I want to be included in the investigation," Haru said politely. "The dungeon appeared in our country, and I have the right over all the dungeons here."

Right.

Haru-nim may have been kicked out of the Japanese Imperial Family, but he remains Japan's #1 Esper. Plus, Haru-nim is a natural S-Class Esper on the same level as Ki Gayoon— which means he's one of the strongest in the world.

"Alright, I accept that condition," Moon Noa said, nodding. "What's the other one?"

Haru smiled sweetly. "Please go on a date with me, Noa-san."

Aigoo.

Ryu Sungbin, as expected, reacted angrily and released his bloodlust that was directed at Haru. "Do you have a death wish?"

Fortunately, Matthew stopped Ryu Sungbin from charging at Haru by grabbing Ryu Sungbin's arm with all the strength he had.

Haru remained unbothered, though— he didn't take his eyes off of Moon Noa.

Aigoo.

Moon Noa could only sigh and shake his head.

Me and my sinful beauty.

WHAT a strange kid.

That was Yihun's first thought when he finally met the kid that Yosef Lee and Charles Kang wanted to introduce to him.

He's so small.

The kid was skinny and petite, with messy brown hair.

He looked smaller because he was wearing a shirt too big for him.

But he's pretty.

Yihun had to admit that the kid was pretty, especially with those huge doe eyes of his.

"This is Bambi," Yosef Lee said while holding Bambi's shoulders. "Yihun-ah, this kid will be your 'Extension.'"

What?

Yihun knitted his eyebrows, confused. "Extension?"

It wasn't Yosef Lee who answered his question.

"Extension Guide," Charles Kang said, putting an arm around Yihun's shoulders— causing Yihun's skin to crawl because of the physical contact he hated. "That child is the very definition of an E-Class Guide, Yihun-ah."

Okay, now Yihun was even more confused.

Is that kid even more of a 'masterpiece' than I am?
