Chapter 149: Chapter 149: The Conquered Liu Erlong
After reading the contents, Tang San finally understood why Xiao Wu had to leave.
"Silly girl, of course Third Brother won't blame you!"
"Rest assured, you'll always be Third Brother's little sister. How could a brother hunt his sister for a soul ring?"
Tang San muttered replies to Xiao Wu's letter. Though shocked to learn Xiao Wu was a 100,000-year soul beast, and struggling to accept her departure, he respected her choice. His only grievance was her refusal to tell him face-to-face—was she afraid he'd hunt her? At first, this angered him, but he soon acknowledged her caution might keep her safer.
"Where did you return to?"
"The Star Dou Great Forest... right?"
Tang San's eyes lit up, recalling Xiao Wu's unusual behavior there before.
"That Titan Giant Ape must have known her—that's why it didn't harm her!"
Whether true or not, he'd find out once strong enough.
Later, Tang San left the dorm and told everyone Xiao Wu had left. He hid her identity as a soul beast, only saying she'd "returned home." As for whether his brother Tang Yin knew the truth, Tang San avoided details in their discussion.
Oscar and others struggled to believe Xiao Wu left secretly but accepted it, grumbling about her lack of farewells. They then comforted Tang San, assuming he took it hardest.
"I'm fine. I'll find her someday," Tang San smiled calmly. Though hurt, her reason comforted him.
Meanwhile, Yu Xiaogang (Jade Little Master) frowned. With Xiao Wu gone, the Shrek Seven Devils were short one member. The upcoming Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament required seven participants, forcing him to recruit from Heaven Dou Royal Academy's elites—none of whom satisfied him.
Tang Yin then addressed the group: "I have news. I've broken through to the 40th rank and will hunt my fourth soul ring in a few days. My foster mother Ah Yin will join me—she needs her eighth ring. Also, Dean Liu Erlong of Blue Tyrant Academy broke through to the 80th rank. She'll accompany Ah Yin to hunt her eighth ring. We're heading to the Star Dou Great Forest."
"What?! You're already level 40?!"
"Ah Yin and Erlong are hunting eighth rings? Why didn't Erlong tell us?!"
"Star Dou Great Forest?!"
Oscar, Ma Hongjun, and Dai Mubai gaped in shock—Dai Mubai especially grimaced at Tang Yin's rapid growth. Yu Xiaogang and Flender felt slighted; Liu Erlong hadn't mentioned her plans despite their close ties.
Tang San's eyes brightened. Star Dou Forest... Xiao Wu might be there. Should I go?
Tang Yin noted their reactions and added, "Master, Dean Flender—ask Dean Erlong for details."
Yu Xiaogang's heart sank. Lately, Liu Erlong had distanced herself, her warmth replaced by cool detachment. He couldn't fathom why.
"I'll still ask. Hunting an eighth ring in Star Dou is dangerous for just her and Ah Yin," he declared before leaving.
Coincidentally, Liu Erlong arrived at Heaven Dou Royal Academy to meet Ah Yin. They'd depart for Star Dou tomorrow, and she planned to stay at Ah Yin's tonight—fully aware Tang Yin might "ambush" her. She anticipated his "thick rod" ramming into her, stoking her pleasure. Her body was now conquered by Tang Yin, her mind branded by him. Each encounter only deepened her addiction.
"Erlong!" Yu Xiaogang called as he spotted her.
"Little Gang," Liu Erlong replied flatly, her tone devoid of past affection. She regarded him like a mere acquaintance.
"Congratulations on reaching the 80th rank. But why keep it secret? Hunting in Star Dou alone is reckless!" he chided.
Liu Erlong's brow furrowed. Once, his "concern" would've thrilled her. Now, it felt intrusive—even repulsive.
"My decision. Got a problem?" she retorted coldly.
Yu Xiaogang stiffened, her icy demeanor shattering his delusions.
"N-No... but you and Ah Yin need support. I could—"
"Ah Yin and I are enough," she cut in. "What use is a 29th-rank soul master like you?"
The words shattered Yu Xiaogang's pride. His face twisted in humiliation.
