Chapter 29
Sincerely (1)
Eating breakfast briefly, getting used to the uniform, then going to school. When I arrive in the classroom, I read the text in a book or English textbook until the class begins. Sometimes I often look out the window or go up to the second grade floor to talk to Baron.
Today was no different. He saw the English text on his desk. Today’s English text contained the contents of a dream. Dream. Dream in a textbook was not a dream while sleeping, nor a dream while living.
I remembered my conversation with Seogwang a while ago.
“What if I become a novelist? ”
Seogwang said. He had an excited voice somewhere. I looked at him quietly and asked.
“You want to do it? ”
“I’m just having more fun with the book than I thought. ”
Seriously, Seogwang seems to be having fun these days. A novelist. It won’t be bad.
“If you want to. Cheer.”
“I haven’t decided yet.
While saying that, his eyes were shining.
“What’s the matter? ”
It was a different day than usual, but he thought. Something’s wrong with Seogwang lately.
I’ve been looking at you a long time. Seogwang turned around and stuck his chair backrest between his legs. It was very burdensome for him as his back seat.
“What.”
I scratched my cheek. My face feels cold.
“Why are you looking at me like that? Because he’s handsome?”
Even jokes that don’t make any sense don’t change their faces. He told me not to say nonsense when I was normal, and even after the bruises flew in.
“The world isn’t fair. ”
Leaving a note, Seongwang straightened up immediately. He mutters, staring at his back head.
“· · · Is it really because of my appearance? ”
I took a moment to look at his appearance, reflecting on the window. Not bad.
When it was time to rest, Seogwang asked.
“Where did you say you live? ”
I tilted my head because I asked a silly question. I told him where it was and asked him why.
“Why?”
“It’s just, you’re not that far from home. ”
“That’s where I live, because I live in a neighborhood. There are more hills on our side. ”
Residential streets rise and fall in this carved neighborhood. High school is also just behind the mountains, so I hear a squawking pigeon on the way back, and I encounter hikers on the way back. It was a rural place in Seoul.
“Can I come over to your place? ”
There’s no reason not to.
“Yes. My parents aren’t home because of work. Today?”
“No. Next time. ”
I nodded without thinking much. I was concerned about the strange state of the western lights. You’ve been in an accident.
And the next morning, I had to open my eyes to the sound of the doorbell.
Ding-dong.
The doorbell rings again as you grope in the duvet. I urge you to get up. I thought someone would leave and realized I was the only one at home.
My parents used to drive around in cars on the weekends to find a house in the countryside. He said before that he would organize his life in the city when he became an adult. I respected my parents’ wishes without saying a word. No one can take someone’s life for their own.
“as if they won’t accept the intercom for you. ”
I yawned loudly, turned on my base, then closed the visit and came out of the living room. I looked at the screen with half-opened eyes and I saw a familiar face. I said over the phone.
“Why are you ringing my doorbell? ”
“You said you were coming to play. Friend.”
“It’s so sudden. ”
“Didn’t you get the text? ”
I was sleeping. I went to bed late last night and was restless until the sun came up.
“Don’t you usually leave without a reply? ”
“I brought chicken. ”
I opened the door.
When the sun came in, the house smelled of chicken. I got up late and was hungry. I was tired of eating, but it was a good time. I sat down in the living room, washed my face, and opened the table.
The fries and seasoning are halved. I followed Coke and lifted one leg at a time.
“Let’s eat.”
“This is a delicious house. ”
Like Seogwang said, the chicken was delicious. While eating, I had the most delicious parts, but I had a nourished conversation about chicken being delivered quickly.
There were only bones left in the box. Seogwang looked at the bookshelves and books all over the living room and said,
“Your house has a lot of books. ”
“My parents love to read. So am I.”
“I read something recently. ”
As he began to speak, Seogwang headed to the kitchen to wash the spices on his hands. Used to be a horse’s head. Now it’s time to get to the book. I listened to him while cleaning up after him.
“A young psychologist once said, there are times when the inside of a person is projected externally and you can recognize it by his belongings or traces. Like the great detective Holmes.”
“An insight? ”
“Yes. Survival experts find out about the animal by signs of grass, footprints, feces. So do people.”
“Human excrement has become a hard world to see. ”
“I’ve just had chicken and I can hear it well. ”
“I feel terrible. ”
The window was opened to ventilate. A gentle breeze blows in as you open the big window in the living room. He turned his back on himself and said,
“Even if you stay at a hotel for one night, you leave your mark there. You can read his personality, his life, his plans for the future. ”
“That’s amazing. Is that how fortune tellers work? ”
I don’t know that, Seogwang said.
“Yo is a space that contains more information about the person than you think. ”
Seogwang asked.
“Is that your parents’ room? ”
“Huh.”
I stood still and replied to Seogwang’s question. Seogwang turns to the other side of the designated area by hand. I watched him without a move. He raises his hand to open the closed door.
“I knew it.”
The wind blows as the door opens. Seogwang whispered as he felt the wind rushing past him into the room first. I knew it. I knew it. I knew it would look like this.
His room was full of letters. The bed, desk, and several pieces of furniture were wrapped around paper and a box. You can see the corner of the manuscript between the slightly opened boxes. It was all written down. Something was written. They were already used. The compartment is filled with ink. Even Seogwang, a typographical addict, felt dizzy enough that everything in this room was written. Sometimes I saw symbols that I did not know the alphabet, the Hanja, and what they were. The first characters I saw were making sentences.
“Did you want to see the room? ”
Behind him, he said. It was hard to believe that I was the owner of this room, and I spoke lightly. Seogwang smiled a little and opened his mouth.
“I saw your writing. ”
Seogwang confessed, but then he understood the strange attitude of Seogwang. He was a person who had read more books than perhaps Lord. There was a slight shade in his eyes.
“When?”
“The day you came late to the door. Contrary to you, I was the first one to go to the office that day. There were four notebooks on the desk. ”
The manuscript was inserted between the notes. Seogwang recalled that day and said.
“The story of Sunhwa was interesting. Spring writing was sentimental. And you.”
I don’t forget what I read that day. The ending was messy and the writing was not long. But from the moment I read the first sentence, I could see that he was different.
Seogwang had been reading since he was very young. I have been reading since I was able to read.
The advent of coincidence excited the western lights. I can’t believe I can write like this at the same age. His writing was pure, glamorous, and understated.
I was so happy to have a writer like this in the same generation. When I thought I could read a coincidence until I died, I laughed as I slept.
By the way.
“Your writing was not a coincidence. Proficient and flexible. Heavy and unstable. ”
It’s as dark and deep as a hole in the middle of the ocean, so you don’t know anything. I’m afraid if I step in, I won’t be able to get out. My instincts are frightened, as if I had encountered a great nature. And I’m impressed. I’m impressed. I’m sure he will if he really writes.
“Your writing is not a coincidence. He had the strength not to think he was my age, but he was different. ”
“Different.”
It’s not the same as the coincidence that you used bird tracks. He could remember what he had eaten the day before after returning. And I could clearly remember the feeling of the day I fell into the river. The same was true of style. It is difficult for a writer to change his style. Writing is about you. For 30 years, Australia has slowly changed. As a result, the body gradually changed. Originally, it was right to forget the bird’s mark at the time. If it was meant to be.
The day I came back, I tried writing. I was able to write with my senses of writing down my failures, even with my senses of writing down bird traces. Thanks to this, I was able to enter the book without hesitation. Even Mr. Moon didn’t think he was a coincidence.
If it is the day when Seogwang says he is late, it is that day. The day I came in with James and Dr. Moon. Somehow he said the note had been moved to his seat.
He apologized for seeing the note without permission. He wasn’t particularly angry.
“It’s okay.”
The voice was still silent, and Seongyang said.
“Are you a coincidence twin? This is required at the same age. It’s the same bloodline. Give me the family portrait, see if there’s another one just like you. What if it’s not twins? So the world is big and there are a lot of geniuses? ”
Seogwang was tired of the sheaves and sighed.
I looked through the stacks of paper in the room. It was a year-long sheep of paper. I thought about what I just said. Genius. You’re not good enough. The word “genius” does not imply all of him. Maybe it’s a coincidence.
“The doorman is fun. So I thought about it carelessly. Why don’t we become novelists like this? But I quit.”
Seogwang said lightly.
“I’m not blaming you. It was a coincidence I didn’t want to get involved in where you are. The only one who knows anything about books with me is going to fall right out. ”
He didn’t have the courage to make his room look like this. Abandonment is easy. Clumsy is fine. I really thought about it lightly.
