Great Demon Sun Wukong

Chapter 768: Sun Wukong's Attack

To Sun Wukong's surprise, Primordial Honor didn't make any defensive moves. Instead, he swung the Myriad Blood Halberd in his hand, and many divine shadows appeared behind him. As the Myriad Blood Halberd trembled, these shadows merged into the halberd. Primordial Honor then gave Sun Wukong a mad smile before charging at him. Seeing Primordial Honor's aggressive stance, Sun Wukong realized that he intended to exchange wound for wound. Sun Wukong was already betting everything on this strike, pouring all his strength and spirit into it, so he had no energy left for defense.

And Primordial Honor had the same intention. Watching the Myriad Blood Halberd emitting endless vital energy, Sun Wukong's eyes remained calm and unwavering. He let out a thunderous shout and smashed his Jingu Bang directly on Primordial Honor's head. Simultaneously, the Myriad Blood Halberd pierced through Sun Wukong's left shoulder. It's important to note that the Myriad Blood Halberd is a halberd, not a spear or sword, so when it pierced Sun Wukong's left shoulder, the sharp crescent blade also sliced his shoulder open. If Sun Wukong hadn't made a subtle adjustment with his body at the last moment, this strike would have severed his entire arm.

However, Sun Wukong's full-force strike didn't cause much damage to Primordial Honor. Yet, this time Sun Wukong saw very clearly a thin layer of transparent light barrier on Primordial Honor's head, filled with cracks. Not only that, but the thin light barrier on Primordial Honor's neck also had two small finger-sized holes, and the barrier around his neck was covered with fine cracks. Seeing this, Sun Wukong understood. It seemed that, as Zhibei had said, the reason Primordial Honor could ignore so many deadly strikes was due to this light barrier.

Sun Wukong also realized that their previous attacks were not ineffective; Primordial Honor was not invincible. If such a barrier with terrifying defensive power were placed on any person with decent strength, they too could fend off thousands alone. However, knowing this seemed a bit too late. Feeling his left shoulder, Sun Wukong knew the situation was dire. His entire left arm had lost most of its feeling. Gritting his teeth, Sun Wukong shifted his body sideways, tearing his left shoulder free from the Myriad Blood Halberd. His already severed left arm was now completely torn apart, with only some tendons and muscles still connecting it.

But Sun Wukong showed no fear. His right hand retracted the Jingu Bang, and his body revolved in mid-air. With an unwavering hand, he targeted Primordial Honor's neck, specifically the two small holes created by the Proud Cloud Longbow's invisible arrows. Although Primordial Honor's head barrier had many cracks from Sun Wukong's previous strike, it hadn't shattered. To harm Primordial Honor, Sun Wukong needed two attacks: one to break the barrier and another to attack him. But Sun Wukong didn't know if he had a third attack left, so to be safe, he targeted Primordial Honor's neck.

Yet, what Sun Wukong could anticipate, how could Primordial Honor not? Just when Sun Wukong's Jingu Bang was two palm widths away from Primordial Honor's neck barrier, it was blocked by the Myriad Blood Halberd. Primordial Honor knew the vulnerability in his neck barrier and focused his defense there. Sun Wukong didn't hesitate, lunging sideways, and stepping hard on the Jingu Bang. Using his momentum, the Jingu Bang overcame the Myriad Blood Halberd's block, striking towards Primordial Honor's chest.

Primordial Honor, with his vast battle experience, retreated while withdrawing his Myriad Blood Halberd and then attacked again, pinning the Jingu Bang to the ground. The diverted Jingu Bang drilled into the earth, leaving a bowl-sized smoking hole. Primordial Honor didn't let up, withdrawing his halberd and turning backward, raising the Myriad Blood Halberd. Just then, Sun Wukong's whip-like kick struck the halberd shaft. Primordial Honor chuckled, pulling the halberd back, the sharp blade slashing at Sun Wukong's other leg.

Sun Wukong twisted mid-air, retracting his legs to dodge the slash. The halberd, being the king of hundred weapons, combining spear and dagger, has both straight and horizontal blades, making it versatile for hooking, pecking, thrusting, and cutting, surpassing spears in lethality. Primordial Honor's Myriad Blood Halberd had a significant advantage.

After dodging, Sun Wukong landed behind Primordial Honor. Suddenly, his eyes shot out brilliant firelight. Primordial Honor, about to turn and strike, suddenly froze. A crack appeared beneath him, followed by a Five-Colored light shooting skyward, hitting his jaw. When this light hit, the restraint on Primordial Honor vanished. Sun Wukong's firelight retracted, returning to his eyes. Upon blinking, Sun Wukong noticed his Heaven and Earth Fire Eyes had faded, becoming ordinary. It seemed the ability that momentarily paralyzed Primordial Honor had drained their power.

Primordial Honor was sent flying by the Five-Colored light. Sun Wukong took a deep breath and disappeared, reappearing above Primordial Honor. With a deafening roar, his armor shattered, revealing a massive Heaven-Supporting Giant Ape. This was Sun Wukong's true form. His body bulging with muscles, exuding terrifying strength. His deep red fur emitted a five-colored halo.

In his true form, Sun Wukong pulled back his right arm. Gathering his power to a peak, his mountain-like fist swung down, smashing into the airborne Primordial Honor's head. A ground-shaking impact ensued, and visible energy waves spread from the collision point. These waves caused dozens of nearby mountains to collapse instantly. The once dark sky of the Fallen Tomb cracked, revealing an abyss-like chasm, filled with nothing but darkness.

This punch was truly earth-shattering. Primordial Honor was sent plummeting to the ground. Despite his crippled left arm, Sun Wukong's ferocity remained. Without hesitation, he pursued, his massive body moving with terrifying speed. Like a giant meteor, he chased after Primordial Honor, his right knee aimed at him.

Though Primordial Honor fell quickly, Sun Wukong's pursuit was faster. As a red streak, he kneed Primordial Honor, sending them both crashing to the ground at even greater speed, with a series of deafening booms and dust clouds rising.

After a long time, once the dust settled, the ground had sunken deeply, with the center several hundred meters down. Luckily, the Fallen Tomb's dense space bore the impact, preventing the ground from being completely pierced. (To be continued.
