Great Demon Sun Wukong

Chapter 675: Concept 617 Untitled

The Heaven and Earth Fire Eyes were indeed extraordinarily mystical; they allowed one to see through everything in a very short span of time. In fact, things turned out almost as Sun Wukong had guessed. After Sun Wukong set off with Zhu Bajie and White Dragon in search of a place to undergo Tribulation, Tang Sanzang spent the morning discussing the Buddhist Law with Monk Zhiguang. After having the midday meal, Tang Sanzang returned to the meditation room and sat in meditation to comprehend the insights he had discussed with Monk Zhiguang. It was then, as Tang Sanzang entered a meditative state, that the long-quiescent Void Transcendence Flower within him suddenly began to emit faint, mystical fluctuations.

Amidst these fluctuations, Sanzang's Cultivation did not increase in the slightest, but his Realm began to grow. Moreover, these mystical fluctuations intensified over time, and within a Chinese Hour, the whole of Lianyun Bieyuan was enveloped by them. By evening, not only was Lianyun Bieyuan affected, but also the entire Buddha-worshipping Sect, the mountain, and the surrounding area for hundreds of miles were all covered by these mystical fluctuations.

Everyone above the level of Saint of the Great Dao felt these fluctuations, and upon sensing them, they involuntarily entered a state of Cultivation. To their amazement, they found that their realms began to grow slowly, and the previously obscure and difficult parts of their Cultivation gradually became clear. Although no one knew what these mystical fluctuations were, the benefits they brought to one's Realm were tangible.

However, that same night, Tang Sanzang awoke from his spiritual practice, causing the mystical fluctuations to dissipate. Yet those who had tasted the sweetness of these mystical fluctuations were not content to let them go, and they began searching frantically for the source of this mystical power. After much inquiry and the sensing by more than a dozen Dao Transformation Primary Grade powerhouses, ultimately, everyone discovered that the source of these mystical power fluctuations was, in fact, a minor Eighth Rank Sect, the Buddha-worshipping Sect.

And when people almost coincidentally arrived at the Buddha-worshipping Sect, it was already nightfall. After discussing among themselves, the dozen or so Dao Transformation Primary Grade powerhouses decided to go up the mountain to see if the Buddha-worshipping Sect had acquired some treasure when the mystical power fluctuations came once again. Subsequently, everyone once more collectively entered Cultivation. By dawn, when Tang Sanzang awoke from his meditation, the mystical power fluctuations had vanished again, but those who had gathered at the foot of the mountain seemed transformed overnight.

The Heart-Cultivation Sect, originally devout, had become even more pious. And those from the Body Cultivation Sects had all become exceedingly polite. Their initial plan had been to force their way into the Buddha-worshipping Sect and plunder it, but after that night, the plan changed. The dozen or so Dao Transformation Primary Grade powerhouses decided to visit the Sect Master of the Buddha-worshipping Sect, Monk Zhiguang, also known as the Bright Ritual Wisdom Light Buddha, in the traditional form of paying respect to a mountain gate. Monk Zhiguang was so stunned that he was at a loss for words. A dozen Dao Transformation Primary Grade powerhouses could destroy their Buddha-worshipping Sect a hundred times over, but now these powerful individuals were treating him with great respect, and Monk Zhiguang felt his heart racing abnormally. As a result, he told them everything in great detail.

Since Tang Sanzang was staying in Lianyun Bieyuan, Monk Zhiguang had also felt the strange fluctuations the previous night and was very aware that the waves originated from Tang Sanzang's room. Logically, given the sudden arrival of these dozens of Dao Transformation powerhouses, Monk Zhiguang should have kept the source of the fluctuations a secret, but in the presence of their overwhelming aura, he simply could not help but reveal the truth.

What surprised Monk Zhiguang even more was that those dozen or so people had come to stand outside Tang Sanzang's meditation room. All knelt on one knee and, in unison, requested that Sanzang, the holy Buddha, begin a sermon to expound upon the Buddhist Law. They somehow mistook the strange fluctuations emanating from Tang Sanzang as his profound insight into the Buddhist Law. Not only that, but everything about this seemed quite irregular. However, Monk Zhiguang had no inclination to ponder over any of it.

When Tang Sanzang opened his door and saw the crowd outside, he was also somewhat surprised. But since he did not recognize these people and the difference in their cultivation was vast, he could not possibly know their strength. Yet, seeing that so many people wanted him to expound upon the Buddhist Law, Tang Sanzang was still very pleased. Thus, he helped each person to their feet, claiming that giving a sermon was too grand a term, and suggested they could all sit together and discuss the principles of Buddha instead. Although Sha Wujing also felt something was amiss, seeing Sanzang so happy, he did not stop him. If these people harbored any ill will, he alone could take down everyone here. Of course, this referred to the villains.

So, when Sun Wukong returned, he saw the scene before him: fifteen Dao Transformation Primary Grade powerhouses listening to Sanzang's teachings on Buddhist Law in the Lotus Cloud Courtyard, while those in the monasteries along the stone steps and the mountain waist were using the strange fluctuations to cultivate. During Tang Sanzang's sermon, the fluctuations would also disperse, although much weaker than during meditation, but definitely much faster than their own realm's cultivation enhancement.

Sun Wukong did not say much but sat down beside Tang Sanzang, crossing his legs like the others, feeling the strange fluctuations. Tang Sanzang did not let Wukong's arrival interrupt him and continued with his previous teachings. Wukong listened for a while and felt the strange fluctuations, but they had no effect on him, as if he were transparent, with the fluctuations passing directly through him to spread behind.

However, upon careful feeling, Sun Wukong found the nature of the situation. Although the strange fluctuations didn't increase his own cultivation at all, they contained a very faint trace of his master's soul power infused with will. As Sun Wukong had once stayed in the Netherworld World as a soul body for a considerable time and continued cultivating in that form, his perception of the soul was extremely keen.

After sensing that tiny trace of soul power, Sun Wukong became astonished. On one hand, he was amazed that his master could disperse soul power in such a way, but more importantly, it was because that soul power was infused with his master's will. This was not something his master's level of cultivation should be able to achieve. Moreover, the fact that this trace of soul power with his master's will could influence others was even more inconceivable. When had his master's Transcendence Bloom become so potent?
