Great Demon Sun Wukong

Chapter 240 Ancestor Demon Reappears

Just as the barrier shattered, a colossal World Suppressing Stele, bathed in an azure hue and covered by a thick layer of frost, stopped in the air one meter above Jixin's head. At that spot, right in the center of the Stele's blade, an almost transparent barrier of a different color suddenly appeared.

However, the barrier didn't fully manifest, revealing only a small section about one meter in diameter.

Yao Wumeng did not feel any glee from having broken through Bi Hai's defenses, nor did he show any annoyance at being stopped by the second-layer Barrier. He continued to strike one sword after another with an indifferent expression. At this point, the two colors on Yao Wumeng's body, one hot and one cold, had completely interwoven at some point.

When these dual-colored patterns first appeared, they were distinctly separate: blue on the left side and red on the right side of Yao Wumeng's body. It made Yao Wumeng look incredibly eerie. Now, his body was completely covered by the intertwining lines of the two colors, and similarly, the World Suppressing Stele and Fenji also had their blade's colors mixed together.

This time, every sword strike exploded simultaneously with two kinds of extreme forces, and each strike's power was more than a hundred times greater than the combined forces of the previous two swords' attacks.

However, the strength of Bi Hai's second layer Barrier was far beyond the first, and it didn't cover the area entirely, so there was no possibility of breaking the Barrier by attacking the same spot repeatedly.

When Yao Wumeng wasn't attacking, the Barrier would disappear. As an attack reached within a one-meter radius of Bi Hai, the Barrier would appear out of thin air, blocking the strike. So after Yao Wumeng had already swung thirty-six thousand swords, not a single trace of dispersal showed on Bi Hai's second layer Barrier.

After two more strikes, Yao Wumeng tapped his foot on the seemingly tangible Barrier and flipped backwards, landing ten meters away.

"I truly didn't expect that your second layer of defense would be so absurdly strong. I didn't intend to use this move initially, but alas, if I can't kill you today, I, Yao Wumeng, will have no face to leave this Sand Realm!" Having said that, Yao Wumeng suddenly raised his right hand, and then, with a loud shout, a beam of crimson light soared into the sky.

Within this light, a World Suppressing Stele, all in crimson and looking like a Supreme Rank fire jade, now appeared in Yao Wumeng's hand. Witnessing this sudden change and the World Suppressing Stele standing quietly in Yao Wumeng's palm, Bi Hai felt as if he had been struck by a lightning bolt from the Nine Heavens, and he was frozen on the spot.

Meanwhile, as World Suppressing Stele Number Six made its appearance, those present—Lin Xi, Bu Yun, and the King of Qin—all turned their heads toward Yao Wumeng and the fiery red World Suppressing Stele in his hand. At that moment, one thought simultaneously struck all four people: How could it be possible for the World Suppressing Stele to appear here?

There are a total of nine World Suppressing Steles, and since the three great wars, only six have remained in sight. Each Stele is controlled by a Domain Lord. It can be said that the deterrent power of a World Suppressing Stele far exceeds that of a Domain Lord.

This is because all Domain Lords are chosen by the Steles, which means that as long as you have sufficient talent and opportunity, you can cultivate to the level of a Domain Lord. However, to truly become the master of a domain, you must possess the strength of the World Suppressing Stele.

The Guardians of the Six Great Divine Nations, along with Pangu of the Genesis Divine Nation, Divine Honor Ling Weiyang of the Purple Kirin in the Myriad Demons Country, Divine Honor He Tu of the Myriad Gods Hall, the inscrutable being of the Myriad Spirits Realm, Rogue Heart Sword Hero of the Netherworld World, Mo Wu of the Annihilation Demon Nation, the Lightning Cultivator of the Transforming Thunder Ancestral Realm, Soul Devourer of the Ancient Primordial World, and Ghost Jade of the Canglan River Realm.

These sixteen individuals had all reached the level of a Domain Lord but were forever halted at that Realm because they hadn't received recognition from a World Suppressing Stele. If any of them received the Stele's recognition, they could rise directly to the position of Domain Lord and control a Divine Kingdom.

From this, one can see just how important and deterring the World Suppressing Stele is, and throughout history, unless a Domain Lord died, the Stele would never appear to be used by someone else while the Domain Lord was still alive.

So when everyone saw the World Suppressing Stele in Yao Wumeng's hand, they were beyond shocked. The astonishment was indescribable. In that instant, even Lin Xi and the others had a doubt flash through their minds: could it be that the person before them was not Yao Wumeng himself but the Domain Lord of the Myriad Demons Country, the Myriad Demon King in disguise?

But that was impossible, why would a Judge allow a Domain Lord to slip into the midst of the Six Kingdoms War?

The others were still processing, but Bi Hai had no time to think further. Because as the crimson Divine Boundary Monolith appeared, a Demon that was seven to eight meters tall, with long and powerful limbs, had torn through space and appeared right before Bi Hai.

This great Demon was the Ancestor Demon of the Demon Clan that Yao Wumeng had once summoned. The Ancestor Demon didn't act immediately upon appearing, instead looking around as if assessing the situation. After scanning the area, its gaze settled on Bi Hai.

In that instant, Bi Hai's back was covered in cold sweat; it felt as though a sharp blade was pressed against his throat, ready to decapitate him at the slightest movement.

However, that feeling vanished in a blink, as the Ancestor Demon suddenly turned and extended its long right hand, grabbing Yao Wumeng by the neck. With a burst of strength from its legs, the Ancestor Demon pressed Yao Wumeng against a wall, still holding him by the throat.

But it didn't end there. The moment Yao Wumeng hit the wall, the earthen wall cracked instantly, and then the Ancestor Demon continued to press down on Yao Wumeng's neck, smashing him against the wall all the way.

Finally, after demolishing several hundred meters of walls, because there were no more walls to hit, the Ancestor Demon actually bent down and pressed Yao Wumeng to the ground, dragging him across the floor for over a hundred meters before stopping.

By then, Yao Wumeng and the Ancestor Demon were at the bottom of a huge pit, and Yao Wumeng was covered in blood, with numerous broken bones, and with every breath, large amounts of blood sprayed out of his nose and mouth. Clearly, Yao Wumeng had sustained severe injuries.

Then, the Ancestor Demon slowly stood up, his tall figure now taking on the appearance of an Asura ghost. Glancing at the blood on his hand, the Ancestor Demon looked down at Yao Wumeng and said, "Seeing that you possess the face of Demon Transcending Number Six, I'll spare you once more.

If there's a next time, you will be the first to die!" No sooner had his words fallen than the Ancestor Demon lifted his head without giving Yao Wumeng another glance, then arched his back completely.

His strangely long body now bent backwards nearly in half like a boneless serpent. Slowly turning his head, it seemed as though he adjusted his viewing angle, and then his demonic eyes bulged, causing Bi Hai, hundreds of meters away, to feel a sharp pain in his brain. However, he quickly suppressed it.

But as Bi Hai lifted his head after suppressing the stabbing pain, he suddenly saw an upside-down head of a demon hanging before him. Bi Hai was initially startled, but then he calmed down. Although the head was close, it was still more than a meter away, which meant the demon was still outside of his Second Layer Barrier!

Bi Hai hadn't even gotten the chance to breathe a sigh of relief when the Ancestor Demon in front of him suddenly snapped his body back and swept out with his right leg. Bi Hai watched as the fierce kick slammed against the Second Layer Barrier a meter in front of him. Although the strike was powerful, it did not breach Bi Hai's Barrier.

Nevertheless, the massive impact sent Bi Hai retreating more than thirty meters.

Immediately after, Yao Wumeng felt a tremor above him and hurriedly looked up only to see a large palm, using its fingertips to saw at the Second Layer Barrier overhead. Then, the fingertips flexed and the knuckles struck; once more, the knuckled bent and a massive fist hammered down.

Since the demon was upside down, its entire body plunged onto Bi Hai's Barrier like a spear from above, the impact of this strike even greater than the previous kick. Bi Hai, utterly defenseless, was smashed down into the ground.

But before the shock of the impact had fully dissipated, Bi Hai felt another tremor below him. It turned out the Ancestor Demon had already dipped below the ground at a much faster speed than Bi Hai, stopping in the trajectory of Bi Hai's descent and then, with an elbow strike, sent Bi Hai hurtling out of the ground once again.

As Bi Hai was sent flying midair by the elbow strike, he suddenly saw darkness before him and two millstone-sized fists colliding towards him. The force of the elbow strike was so strong that Bi Hai had no way to control his movements.

Therefore, Bi Hai could only watch as the two enormous fists suddenly extended their index finger joints, colliding like two pointed awls on either side of his body.

Then, as Bi Hai stared with eyes wide in disbelief, a series of cracking sounds rang out.

The Second Layer Barrier, shattered!
