Chapter 193 Whose Is This Thing?
Sun Wukong slightly raised his head and already saw the Ice Tower above him. Because Wukong and his companions were inside a colossal tower, although the room was quite spacious, reaching a height of ten meters and equally wide, it still seemed somewhat cramped compared to Xi Zhao's Ice Emperor Tower.
In order to not be restricted by the space, Xi Zhao had no choice but to shrink the Ice Emperor Tower to just over three meters tall. Even so, Xi Zhao still felt a bit cramped.
However, his hands were not slow; as soon as the Ice Emperor Tower appeared three meters above Sun Wukong in the void, Xi Zhao harshly swung his right hand downward, sending the Ice Emperor Tower crashing down with its piercing cold chill.
Sun Wukong had previously witnessed the Flame God being trapped by the Ice Emperor Tower, aware that even the Flame God's Phoenix Fire was unable to withstand it, so he figured he would fare no better.
Furthermore, Xi Zhao had mentioned that trapping someone with the Ice Emperor Tower was just the first step, thus Wukong dared not take any chances, sensing that more terrifying attacks were sure to follow.
But if he were to simply dodge, Xi Zhao would definitely seize the opportunity to launch a sneak attack. Even though Wukong could barely perceive Xi Zhao's figure with his evolution into top-level Fiery Eyes Golden Gaze, there would certainly be flaws exposed while dodging.
While his thoughts flashed rapidly, Sun Wukong tossed up the Jingu Bang. No sooner had Wukong thrown it did the Golden Hoop suddenly grow larger. In less than half a breath's time, it had already turned into a column even thicker than Xi Zhao's Ice Emperor Tower.
Seeing Sun Wukong attempting to use the Jingu Bang to counter the Ice Emperor Tower, Xi Zhao flipped his wrist and tapped lightly, causing the Ice Emperor Tower too to swiftly grow in size, but instead of growing taller, it kept growing thicker.
The Ice Emperor Tower expanded quickly, but the Jingu Bang grew even faster, always a bit thicker than the Ice Emperor Tower, thus preventing it from encasing the Golden Hoop within the tower.
The Flame God, who was originally watching the fight with amusement, twitched his eyebrows and hurriedly clutched his food, rushing towards the wall. Joking aside, if he didn't move, he'd be struck by the continuously thickening Jingu Bang.
Xi Zhao, noticing that the Jingu Bang was changing faster than his Ice Emperor Tower, realized it was impossible to trap Sun Wukong with it, and so he clasped his hands together and pressed down forcefully.
On the other side, the Ice Emperor Tower suddenly stopped growing and seemed to have its weight suddenly increase several times over, immediately pressing the Jingu Bang underneath it. At the same time, countless streams of chill spread over the tower, swiftly turning the Jingu Bang into a giant ice pillar.
Xi Zhao thought that since he couldn't trap Sun Wukong, he might as well settle for sealing his Jingu Bang. With the Jingu Bang sealed, he himself could wield Formless Vanishing while Sun Wukong would be left to fight bare-handed.
If Wukong still had a physical body, he might be able to withstand a few blows with the hardness of his flesh, but now in a soul state, if Sun Wukong dared to physically withstand his Formless Vanishing in soul state, Xi Zhao was confident he could freeze Sun Wukong.
Seeing Xi Zhao actually freeze his Jingu Bang, Sun Wukong was also somewhat stunned. Who would have thought that his weapon would be sealed by ice right at the beginning of the fight?
With the Jingu Bang frozen, Wukong subconsciously wished to summon the World Suppressing Stele. However, he suddenly remembered that Xi Zhao had also banned it. As he fumbled around, Sun Wukong frustratingly realized he was without a weapon.
Although he still had Nezha's Fire-tipped Spear, the Qiankun Ring, and the Heavens' Silk inside him, first, he had never refined them, and second, even if he brought them out, Wukong didn't believe they would be a match for Xi Zhao's Supreme Divine Artifact.
As Xi Zhao approached with a triumphant face, Sun Wukong, in desperate ingenuity, quickly retreated to the side of the Flame God. Without saying a word, he drew the Flame God's Exploding Phoenix Blade that was planted in the ground.
In truth, Sun Wukong was out of options; with both the Jingu Bang and the World Suppressing Stele unusable, he couldn't just go against his opponent's Supreme Divine Artifact with bare hands. So, in a rush, noticing the Flame God's euphoric expression, Wukong's eyes sparkled with a sudden insight.
Even if Wukong couldn't unleash the might of the Exploding Phoenix, it was still a Divine Weapon, and blocking the Twin Rings' attack from Xi Zhao should pose no problem. As long as he could block Xi Zhao's assault, he could use the techniques from the Nine Decisions.
However, to Sun Wukong's surprise, as soon as he grabbed the Exploding Phoenix, a wave of warm energy emanated from the blade and traveled along his arms into his body. The wave of warmth seemed to reduce the chill brought forth by the appearance of the Ice Emperor Tower and the cold Xi Zhao could emit.
Freed from the disturbance of Xi Zhao's cold, Sun Wukong felt his strength surge; holding the Exploding Phoenix Blade in one hand, he continued to charge forward, then leaped up, pushed off the wall with his feet in reverse, and shot back over his shoulder.
In midair, Sun Wukong switched to holding the blade with both hands, swinging the Exploding Phoenix high above his head and chopping down towards Xi Zhao's crown. The chop was ferocious and overbearing, making Xi Zhao feel as if he was facing the forces of the entire cosmos.
Moreover, the entire blade turned a fiery red in an instant, as if it had just been pulled from hot coals, with the scorching heatwave striking Xi Zhao even before the blade itself.
As Xi Zhao was taken aback by the terrifying heat radiating from the Exploding Phoenix, the blade, driven by Sun Wukong's momentum, descended. Xi Zhao had no time to dodge; the two blue Iron Rings suddenly turned a deep blue, and a thick layer of solid ice quickly formed on them. In the nick of time, the Exploding Phoenix held by Sun Wukong smashed down onto the Twin Rings raised by Xi Zhao.
Following a violent explosion, the blast was so intense that it sent the Flame God, who had been watching in shock, crashing into a wall. Xi Zhao, directly beneath the explosion, bore the full brunt of its terrifying force.
The exploding phoenix not only blasted Xi Zhao's figure into view but also shattered the cold ice from the Formless Vanishing, leaving both the blue and red weapons colliding fiercely with each other, neither yielding an inch.
However, at that moment, a flash of red light suddenly appeared on Sun Wukong's body, and the Phoenix Illusion, which had been lingering on the Exploding Phoenix Blade, appeared beside him. After a cheerful phoenix's cry, it unexpectedly doubled in size and its red glow intensified, turning almost white.
After circling around Sun Wukong, the enlarged Phoenix Illusion returned into the Exploding Phoenix Blade. Sun Wukong then seemed to realize something, his expression froze momentarily, but he quickly burst into laughter and said, "Phoenix Nine Explosions, explode!"
As soon as Wukong's voice faded, a red light flashed again on the Exploding Phoenix, causing another violent explosion at the point of contact with Xi Zhao's Formless Vanishing.
And that wasn't all. The red light blinked nine times as the Exploding Phoenix set off nine consecutive explosions. But during the last one, the Xi Zhao in the center of the explosion suddenly let out a roar like a wild beast, followed by a blue figure appearing behind him.
Wukong, too close to see clearly, couldn't make out what the shadow was. However, Flame God, plastered against the wall, could see clearly—it was none other than Xi Zhao himself, also holding two iron rings. After this figure appeared, heavy snow suddenly began to fall throughout the room.

In the midst of this heavy snowfall, Wukong felt an intense cold surge from the Twin Rings beneath the Exploding Phoenix Blade and quickly retracted the blade, taking three steps back.
But within the dense snow and white cold air, Wukong couldn't see what had become of Xi Zhao, only feeling an intense sense of danger emanating from where Xi Zhao stood. Though puzzled, Wukong didn't dare move, as if any single action might result in being instantly engulfed by that peril. As his limbs stiffened from the falling snow, a snow-white vixen flew through the window outside.
Facing the window, Wukong clearly saw the little fox, holding a fiery-red object in its mouth and hopping in with an angry expression.
Following that, Caomei also jumped through the window, similarly holding a fiery-red object in one hand.
With this interruption, Wukong noticed the previously fatal sense of danger dissipate, so he quickly stepped forward and dispersed the cold mist with the Exploding Phoenix Blade, only to find Xi Zhao unconscious on the ground with his eyes closed.
Calling out to Flame God, Wukong tossed over the Exploding Phoenix Blade, but for some reason, Flame God was also sprawled on the ground, staring at Wukong with a vacant look, disregarding the blade as it fell beside him, with an incredulous face.
After slapping Xi Zhao's cheek, Wukong scanned him with his Divine Consciousness and found Xi Zhao had merely fainted from exhaustion. Relieved, he went over, took an Elixir from his pouch, and administered it to Xi Zhao. Then he curiously turned to look at Caomei and the little fox.
Having not seen the little fox in about ten months, there was no change in appearance, but its cultivation had reached the Nine Patterns Supreme. While Wukong was sizing up the little fox, Caomei suddenly asked angrily, "Whose is this?"
As she raised the fiery-red object in her hand, Wukong glanced at it and then innocently gestured towards Flame God with a shrug!
