Chapter 1421: New mansion!
From MC's Perspective:
It didn't take long for us to leave the magic city. But the Forbidden Wizard Charlotte is still driving at top speed, as if someone could stop us from escaping. I held these thoughts in my mind.
Then I started to watch the passing scenes through the window. I could see people going about their business. After leaving the magic city, the infrastructure was nowhere to be seen.
The wizard population had become smaller. I could spot only a few groups because the current place was wilderness. There were different types of magic trees grown over 200 ft, almost to the size of high-rise buildings.
The flying car looked smaller in front of the big tree.
Time passed.
Night fell; she continued to drive the car. The car was flying high in the sky. At this time, no other flying vehicles were coming and going from the same path.
"I wonder how long it would take to reach the new mansion," I said in my heart.
I didn't know when I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
The following day,
"Vincent Carey, wake up!"
A cold female voice reached my ears. Hearing that, I opened my eyes and looked at her. Then I remembered everything.
"Lord, have we arrived?" I asked her.
"Yes, step out first." After saying that, she stepped out.
Then I followed her to step outside. The next second, a beautiful mansion in the middle of a green field came into view. Seeing that, I was dumbfounded.
I remembered traveling above the wilderness. Not even a single wizard was spotted there. So where is this place located?
"Don't think about the unwanted things. We are in a secret location," Charlotte said.
Hearing that, my heart set off storms. She saw through my mind.
"Okay," I replied to her.
Then she brought me inside the mansion.
"You can live here. I have already stored the preserved foods, magic fruits, and grocery items here. Wizards don't need such things as long as their mana core is fine."
"But if you want to eat food, you can find the ingredients in the kitchen," Charlotte said.
Hearing that, I sighed inwardly. I think that my stay here is going to be long. Otherwise, she wouldn't have brought so many things to stock.
"There is also a training facility in the underground room, including the mana chamber. You can use it for practice," Charlotte said with a smile.
Hearing that, I nodded to her.
Buzz!
The next second, Charlotte received a call from a fellow Forbidden Wizard. It was an important call. Seeing that, she answered it.
The next second, she was shocked by what the person said on the call.
She replied, "Okay."
Charlotte then turned towards Vincent and said, "It's an important matter. I have to go right now. Take care of yourself. Don't wander around outside."
I nodded to her, but my heart was in turmoil. What could make a forbidden wizard this unsettled?
Charlotte saw that Vincent Carey was doing fine. She then left without turning back. In the blink of an eye, she came outside of the mansion.
Swoosh!
The next second, she took her car and left the place.
Sigh!
Inside, I let out another sigh. Then my eyes gleamed with a twinkle. I couldn't live here just like that. First, I had to probe the entire mansion so that I could tell whether the place was safe to stay or not.
Then I started doing that from the living area.
Time passed.
I went from one room to another in search of the magic devices and other formations. To my surprise, not a single thing was found so far.
The mansion appeared to be an old renovated one. There weren't many digital things here. Not even a single digital device was found.
It didn't take long for me to search all the rooms and the storage room. These places were confirmed to be safe. Nothing appeared on the status panel. Even if there were small dangerous things here, the system would warn me.
But it hadn't reminded me so far, which meant the place was safe. The next second, I thought of something important.
It was an underground basement. Then I went to check the place. The entrance to the underground basement was in the living hall. I opened the cover before walking downstairs.
Buzz!
The next second, the lights turned on automatically. Then I saw the training facility, which stunned me. It was an exact copy of the Silver Tower but in a smaller version.
The space was not that big. The practice and mana chamber room was small. I swept my gaze across the place. I spotted quite a few digital devices on the desks with chairs in front of them.
Surprisingly, there was a book stand beside the desk and chair.
If I'm not wrong, someone had spent quite some time here. I couldn't help but wonder whether it was Forbidden Wizard Charlotte or not.
I quickly walked up to the desk and examined the stuff placed on it. I opened the drawer and saw the books there.
I picked the first book and looked at the cover. My eyes flashed with a glint. The cover was about the wilderness outside the magic city.
I didn't expect to come across such an interesting book.
I sat on the chair and opened the book to read it. The book had only a few pages, but I thought it was enough to solve my boredom here.
Time passed.
I immersed myself in absorbing the information inside the book.
....
Magic City:
Inside a bar, the customers were enjoying their drinks. At the corner, an old man was enjoying his drink by himself. The old man was none other than Meteor Supreme Wizard Filip.
"Ha... Ha... Ha...," he let out a joyful laugh.
He was wondering how to take down that kid, but he didn't expect such a thing to happen. The Doyle family had faced such a disaster. One of their prodigies was gone.
The Wind Elemental Tower had lost their Wizard Seed as well. He thought everyone must be angry at the kid right now.
It's a pity he had tried to use Forbidden Wizard Erwin, but the Lord had found out his tricks. It's great that he didn't receive any punishment.
But right now, he thought another chance had come.
