"Secrets swirl like champagne in crystal flutes, but be careful, darlings—one wrong sip, and the whole illusion shatters. The question is: when the masks come off, will you still like what you see? XOXO, Gossip Girl."

A Deal with the Devil
The party was still in full swing, the hum of conversation mixing with the soft melody of the string quartet. Aryan slipped away from the dance floor, leaving Serena with Blair. He had a meeting to attend—one that required privacy.
He walked through a corridor lined with dark mahogany, stopping outside a door that read Bart Bass – Private Office. With a single knock, the door clicked open. Bart sat behind his massive oak desk, his expression as unreadable as ever. Opposite him sat an older man with sharp features and a knowing smirk—Russell Thorpe.
Aryan had expected this.
"Mr. Jain," Bart greeted, motioning for him to take the empty seat. "I assume you know Russell?"
Aryan nodded but said nothing. He had read up on Thorpe's business dealings—his aggressive tactics, his long-standing rivalry with Bart. If he was here, it wasn't just for polite conversation.
Russell leaned forward, clasping his hands. "I've been hearing a lot about you, Aryan. You're making quite the name for yourself."
Aryan smirked. "I do my best."
Bart cut in. "Russell and I were just discussing Bass Industries' expansion into media. There are… differing opinions on how it should be handled."
Aryan's gaze flicked between them. He wasn't naive. This wasn't just about business—it was about control.
"And what does this have to do with me?" Aryan asked, already knowing the answer.
Russell's smile didn't waver. "You've been making moves in the media world. You're young, ambitious. Someone like you could help tip the scales."
Bart's jaw tightened slightly. He didn't like this, but he was letting it play out.
Aryan leaned back, letting the tension hang in the air before responding. "I'm not in the habit of picking sides in other people's wars."
Russell chuckled. "Smart. But every empire needs allies."
Bart finally spoke again, his voice firm. "You work with me, Aryan, and you'll have access to resources even your family's wealth can't provide."
Aryan met his gaze. A tempting offer. But Aryan didn't need resources—he needed leverage.
"I'll consider it," Aryan said smoothly, standing up. "But I don't make decisions without all the facts."
Russell smirked, as if amused. "Fair enough. We'll talk soon."
As Aryan left the office, he knew one thing for certain—this was just the beginning.

Gossip Girl Blast:
"One king, two titans, and a battle brewing beneath the surface. Careful, Aryan. The higher you climb, the harder the fall. XOXO."

Blair's Moment of Realization
Blair adjusted her pearl bracelet as she stood near the grand staircase, watching the room with a careful eye. Serena was laughing at something Nate had said, but her gaze kept flicking toward the doors Aryan had disappeared through.
Blair hated feeling out of control, but lately, everything felt like it was slipping through her fingers. Her status at school, her hold over Chuck, even her friendship with Serena—it was all shifting.
"Deep in thought?" Chuck's voice broke through.
She turned to him, giving a perfectly poised smile. "Just observing."
Chuck raised an eyebrow, sipping his drink. "Observing or overanalyzing?"
Blair scoffed. "I don't overanalyze. I plan."
Chuck smirked. "And how's that working out for you?"
She pursed her lips. "Better than whatever you're doing."
Chuck's eyes darkened slightly, but he didn't take the bait. Instead, he leaned in slightly. "If you really want to win, Blair, you need to stop playing defense."
Blair frowned, but before she could respond, Chuck was already walking away.
His words lingered.

Gossip Girl Blast:
"Looks like Queen B just got a lesson in strategy. The question is: will she take the advice, or will pride get in the way? Stay tuned. XOXO."

Serena's Lingering Doubts
By the time Aryan returned, the gala was beginning to wind down. Serena was waiting for him near the terrace, the crisp winter air making her golden hair shimmer under the city lights.
"You disappeared," she said softly.
Aryan gave her a small smile. "Had to handle something."
She hesitated, studying him. "With Bart?"
Aryan exhaled. "Something like that."
Serena stepped closer. "I know you're always looking ahead, always thinking three moves forward. But sometimes, Aryan… sometimes I just want to know where we are now."
Aryan looked at her then, really looked at her. She wasn't asking for details about his business—she was asking for reassurance.
He reached out, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "We're right here."
Serena searched his eyes before nodding slightly. "Okay."
It wasn't a promise, but it was enough for now.

Gossip Girl's Final Blast of the Night:
"Lies, deals, and whispered confessions. Some masks slip, while others tighten. But remember, Upper East Siders, the truth always finds a way out. Sleep well—if you can. XOXO."
