Chapter 13: The magic sheath

My name is Rargum Bottlebrew, and I'm a Craftsman in the city of Vensore. Recently, a new magic box, Circle, came out, and it's becoming enormously popular. This particular magic box is unique as it allows you to store weapons inside the box while leaving the handle exposed

This allows you to carry around weapons easily, and you don't have to worry about them accidentally hitting things. As you would imagine, I have been flooded with requests for this type of magic box. The problem is they're all custom, and it's insanely annoying to deal with

And that racist ass barren who's constantly poaching any and all human apprentices I get and threatening or kidnapping all the others this isn't just in me issue either he's doing this to all the craftsmen who aren't human

it got so bad that My brother Yuzzon had to Had to find some random kid at the end he was staying at an offer him a job thankfully he accepted but god is he an Asshole But he doesn't complain and the few times that I've worked with him on projects he actually comes up with some pretty interesting ideas

For whatever reason, he's obsessed with golems. Despite the fact that they're terrible, absolutely terrible, efficiency means that you can't do anything with them.

I also haven't mentioned to him about the Mana connection length Issue is essentially how far you can operate a magic item using your Mana, and from what I've seen, he hasn't actually looked at any books mentioning this, so this is going to be fun watching Him get really confused when it suddenly stops working

He made Axetank in magic boxes without any complaints so far, from what I've seen, the only thing you really does is work and study. That was until one day he came to me out of the blue and said.

'Hey, boss man, can I rent a Workshop?' Alex

Alex said, Well, entering the Master workshop, Rargum looked at him like he just said something ridiculous

'Yes, it will be 45 gold a week, for the personal Workshop. And why and no, you cannot have sex in them.' Rargum

Rargum said this while looking at the red-haired bunnykin who came into the workshop with Alex

'Wasn't going to, but good to know that's actually part of the rules, ' Alex

'Well, from what you told Harriet, you said that you were going to be making something for her business, ' Tina

'Wait, Harriet, the brothel owner, or you could be making like sex toys or something' Rargum

'Yes,' Alex and Tina Said at the exact same time

'Okay, I'll just need the payment first.' Rargum

Rargum Said while shaking his head

'Tina, please pay the man so we can get started.' Alex

Rargum looked at Alex, confused as to why he said that

'Why are you asking her to pay?' Rargum

'Oh, because Harriet is paying for all this,' Alex

'And why is Harriet paying for this?' Rargum

'Because I bet my life,' Alex

Alex said this well, casually gesturing at Tina

'She's here to make sure that I don't run away and could keep the deadline,' Alex

'Do I even want to ask how long the deadline is?' Rargum

'A week starting today,' Tina

'A fucking week' Rargum

'You are insane Alex what the fuck are you thinking' Rargum

'I know, right? Even if he has a good idea, it's going to take more than a week. Tina

'Relax, you too, I have everything planned out,' Alex

'And what exactly is this plan you keep mentioning it but have never actually explained what it is?' Tina

'Well, first things first, I'm going to have to make a little complicated tool, then,' Alex

'You know what I don't care, do what you're going to do, I want nothing to do with it' Rargum

'Wow, so grouchy.' Alex

'I have 15 apprentices now, I don't have time to worry about your stupidity,' Rargum

'15 including myself, correct?' Alex

'No' Rargum

'Look I got to go back to work But these fucking magic sheaths are not going to make themselves' Rargum

'Oh yeah, I heard about that. It's actually really cool,' Alex

'Yeah, I still remember when the magic box first came out,' Tina

'How fucking old are you And those are like over a hundred years old by now' Rargum

Tina glared at him for a good 30 seconds before he turned around and began working on the magic sheath

To turn the weapon into a magic sheath, Rargum thought to himself First, you need to take it apart. Then you've got to modify the guard by installing a magic circle. This is the cap for the magic box. The main secret behind the magic sheath is the Magic barrier put into it.

Simply put, you cannot have a magic box without it being a closed container. The barrier allows you to have a magically closed container, which is good enough for a magic box to work. Because the only thing you need to do is store a single weapon, you don't need that much space expansion, so only one or two magic circles are needed, not including the barriers

As Rargum turned around and began to work silently, lost in his thoughts, Alex and Tina quickly left the room for Alex's new workshop

A week later, Rargum Came and checked on Alex to see if it was still alive. As he entered the previously Familiar workroom, he saw several things that he had no idea of their purpose or use, as well as a large pile of perfectly cylindrical Pieces of wood, as well as the heavy smell of Seed Oil and Beeswax

Ignoring the unfamiliar tools, he immediately headed towards the cylindrical objects to inspect them. closely

Rargum had a good idea of what they were considering, who Rargum knew was paying for all of this, as he picked it up. Rargum noticed that there was a heavy layer of food-safe oil, mainly used on cutting boards, as well as a thick layer of beeswax, covering these cylindrical objects. Inspected them closely. Rargum noticed that they rounded off to a soft taper on one end, and on the other, there was a hollow divot.

Rargum. Assume that they're not complete yet, and Alex has taken all the complete ones to Harriet. Hopefully, Alex doesn't die today
