Chapter 65: Chapter 61 - Erasa Vs Yun
The second day of the World Youth Exhibition Tournament dawned with clear skies and roaring crowds. The atmosphere was electric as the top four contenders stepped onto the main stage—each fight now a one-on-one battle under the spotlight, with the media and martial arts world closely watching.
The announcer's voice echoed across the stadium:"Ladies and gentlemen! Our next match—Yun of the Crane School vs Erasa from Orange Star High"
The crowd buzzed with anticipation. Cameras zoomed in on the combatants as they stepped onto the polished arena floor.
Yun, calm and sharp-eyed, moved with the practiced grace of a seasoned martial artist. His white Crane Gi swayed slightly with each step, the red trim matching his focused eyes. He gave Erasa a short, contemptuous bow.
Erasa, in contrast, bounced lightly on her feet, her signature half-ponytail fluttering behind her. She wore a sleeveless variant of a Turtle School gi—a blend of traditional orange and her own stylized accents. Her expression was calm but determined.
Krillin's voice rang out from the stands. "Remember what we practiced! Breathe, watch his feet, and don't let his taunts throw you off!"
Across from him, Master Shen sat arms folded, his face a mixture of disdain and amusement. "Finish her quickly, Yun. Show them the Crane School's superiority."
Erasa waved excitedly to the audience before flashing a confident grin toward Yun. "Let's give them a good show!"
Yun scoffed, unimpressed. "This isn't a game, blondie. You're not going to laugh your way through this one."
"Neither are you," Erasa replied with a wink, cracking her knuckles.
The referee raised his hand. "Fighters ready?"
Both nodded.
"BEGIN!"
Yun immediately dashed forward, launching a sharp jab at Erasa's throat. She tilted her head just in time, feeling the wind rush past her neck. She retaliated with a sweeping kick, but Yun jumped, flipping over her effortlessly and landing behind her. He delivered a hard backhand, sending her stumbling forward.
Erasa recovered quickly, spinning and throwing a barrage of punches. Yun weaved through them like a serpent, dodging with barely an inch to spare. He was fast, but more than that—his movements were precise, unnervingly mechanical. A glint of arrogance flashed in his eyes as he grabbed Erasa's wrist mid-punch and drove his knee into her gut.
"Guh!" Erasa coughed, taking a step back.
Yun smirked. "You were a big fish in a small pond, but this is real martial arts."
She wiped her mouth, grinning. "That so? Guess I better stop playing around then."
Yun didn't let up. He darted to the side and swept his foot low, trying to trip her, but when Erasa jumped, he raised his palm and shouted, "Dodon—"
A sudden flash of movement from Erasa interrupted him. She kicked his hand mid-charge, disrupting the energy gathering and causing a small explosion in his own face.
"Gah!" Yun growled, staggering back. "You'll regret that."
He reached into his sleeve, pulling a small white pellet. He crushed it in his palm, releasing a cloud of paralyzing powder. A typical Crane School dirty tactic.
Erasa coughed, trying to wave the cloud away. Her vision blurred for a moment, her limbs sluggish.
"Had enough?" Yun sneered, rushing in to capitalize.
He went for a palm strike to her chest, but at the last second, Erasa's aura flared.
An explosive gust of Ki burst from Erasa, blowing away the paralyzing powder and staggering Yun. Her eyes, previously cheerful and unassuming, now burned with intensity. Her aura erupted around her violently, flaring like a flame that had been waiting to ignite.
"No more holding back," she said, her tone sharper, more focused.
Yun's smirk faltered. "That's… a lot of Ki for someone like you."
"You're not the first to underestimate me."
With that, she vanished from sight. Yun gasped and turned—too late.
CRACK!
Her knee collided with his back, sending him tumbling across the stage. He skidded on his side but caught himself with a roll, stopping at the edge of the ring. Gritting his teeth, he shot into the air.
The crowd gasped.
"He's… flying?" someone in the stands shouted.
"He can fly?! But that's against the rules, right?"
"No, not exactly," Gohan explained to Goten from the stands, "Flight isn't against the rules. It's just very few contestants know how."
High above the arena, Yun smirked again. "Let's see you try to reach me now."
Down below, Erasa crouched low and began focusing her energy. Her hands glowed with pale light, not unlike Krillin's ki signatures. She raised her arms slowly, and several orbs of glowing white energy—small, precise—formed around her.
The crowd was murmuring now. Even the experienced fighters in the audience, including Krillin and Yamcha, sat forward.
"What's that technique?" Krillin muttered. "I didn't teach her that one…"
"Looks like she figured something out on her own," Chichi said proudly.
High above, Yun saw the lights and scoffed. "What are those supposed to be, fireworks?"
Erasa narrowed her eyes, then pointed a finger upward. "Scattering Bullets!" she shouted with gusto, like a proper action hero.
The orbs shot upward, arcing and twisting through the air like guided missiles. Yun, startled, began flying erratically, trying to dodge them.
One missed. Two missed. Then three.
But four struck his side, five his back, six his shoulder. The impact didn't explode—but they stuck to him like magnetic beads.
"What—!?" Yun shouted.
Erasa clenched her fist. "Now!"
The orbs detonated simultaneously, not in a massive blast, but in a directed shockwave that stunned Yun mid-flight. His body jerked as the concussive force hit every pressure point.
With a burst of speed, Erasa jumped high into the air—surprising everyone—and met Yun in mid-air with a spiraling kick to the chest.
BOOM!
Yun was launched downwards like a comet, slamming into the arena with a resounding crash and skidding until he rolled off the edge and hit the grass below.
"YUN HAS BEEN RINGED OUT! ERASA ADVANCES!" the announcer shouted.
The crowd erupted into cheers.
Yun groaned, slowly sitting up. He looked around in a daze, unsure of what happened. Master Shen in the stands clicked his tongue and looked away in disgust. The rest of the Crane School followed suit.
"Pathetic," muttered Kuro under his breath.
Erasa landed back on the arena floor with a bounce and a playful pose. "That's how we do it at Orange Star!"
Back with the others, Goten cheered wildly. "That was awesome!"
Even Goku gave a hearty laugh. "She's got some spunk."
Yamcha pumped a fist. "I'm tellin' ya—those kids are gonna be legends!"
