God Level Farmer In Another World

Chapter 58: Chapter 58: The Priest Takes Action

"I am Ethan Blake's apprentice! My master is on the brink of death!"

Sarah suddenly shouted.

She clearly noticed that everyone in the cafe froze for a moment.

Sarah confirmed it; these people all knew Ethan Blake.

She wanted to say more, to ask these people to think of a way to save her master.

She looked around for the boy who had shown her kindness earlier, but he had left at some point.

The seat was empty.

Just then, her phone rang, and she quickly took it out.

The message on the screen filled Sarah with joy.

"Sarah, I'm fine. Where are you?"

It was a message from Ethan Blake!

Her master was still alive!

Sarah hurriedly replied:

"Master, that's great! I'm at the cafe. I'll come back to you right away!"

She stood up immediately to leave, not even feeling the pain when her leg bumped into the table.

"Officer, please wait."

Sarah turned around, confused. It was a pair of indifferent eyes.

The gaze, which seemed to disregard all life, made Sarah feel uneasy.

The strange man wore an eerie crying ghost king mask.

Her phone rang again. Sarah looked down at the message.

"It's safe there. Stay put. I'll come to you once I'm done."

Bluewater City Wall Command Room.

"Director Welma, Captain Ethan has done it again. He took out hundreds of monsters! A mysterious person appeared and saved him. It looked like a priest."

The secretary stopped speaking, noticing the murderous look in Welma's eyes.

Welma had been watching the Central Avenue surveillance the entire time; she knew exactly what had happened.

It was Desmond who had acted.

Why did Desmond take action now?

Hadn't they agreed to wait for her signal?!

Welma's temples throbbed as she held her forehead, muttering to herself:

"This Ethan, what incredible luck, to run into Desmond!"

Ethan was severely injured and could no longer fight.

If she wanted to find another opportunity to eliminate Ethan, it would be quite difficult now.

"Roar!!!"

A deafening roar echoed from outside the city wall, shaking the entire command room.

The officers in the room displayed expressions of shock.

This aura—it was a high-level monster!

A cold smile appeared on Welma's lips:

"Finally, it has come.

The death of those B-rank monsters has forced the boss behind the scenes to show up."

She stood up, her waist-length hair fluttering despite the lack of wind. As she walked out of the command room, frost covered the ground beneath her feet.

Outside the city wall, a massive bone dragon, spanning several dozen meters, flapped its wings and hovered above.

Atop the dragon's head sat a skeleton.

This skeleton had a robust build, wielding a bone sword in its hand, draped in a black cloak, with green ghostly flames dancing in its eye sockets.

This monstrous pair exerted immense pressure on the border guards.

"Skeleton King!"

Finally, one of the guards stammered out the name of the creature.

The high-level monsters were all recorded by the Security Bureau; humans were well aware of these creatures.

An A-rank monster signified a catastrophe.

The Skeleton King wasn't merely an A-rank monster; its most terrifying ability was to summon an A-rank bone dragon!

In other words, the creature beneath the Skeleton King's feet was also an A-rank.

The appearance of the Skeleton King meant that two A-rank monsters had shown up at once.

The border guards poured firepower toward the Skeleton King, but as the smoke cleared, it remained unharmed.

"Humans, release the Phoenix, and I shall leave at once."

The Skeleton King's voice sounded like the rasp of a dried corpse, unpleasant to the ears.

A tall figure shot out from the city wall.

Welma's hand gathered a hundred-meter-long ice spear, slicing through the air with a swishing sound as its tip aimed at the Skeleton King.

The Skeleton King swung its bone sword, an aura of darkness rippling out, shattering the ice spear and dissipating Welma's attack.

Welma stepped on an ice lotus, floating in mid-air.

The temperature plummeted, and countless hexagonal snowflakes appeared in the sky.

Her eyes showed no fear of battle; instead, they gleamed with intense greed.

In her eyes, the Skeleton King wasn't a natural disaster but a military achievement!

A straightforward, naked military achievement!

Fight?

Welma was never afraid; she was confident in her own strength.

The ghostly fire in the eye sockets of the Skeleton King flickered, sensing the formidable power of the woman before it.

It patted the bone dragon under its feet. The bone dragon roared and flew towards the city.

The Skeleton King rose into the air, raising its bone sword high.

A powerful sinister energy not only tore apart the surrounding plants but also annihilated nearby monsters.

"Woman, you will make a marvelous addition to my collection!"

Welma sneered, her long, beautiful legs gathered the power of frost, kicking towards the Skeleton King's bone sword.

"Roar!"

The bone dragon entered the city, and the security officers couldn't stop it.

To restrain an A-rank would require at least seven or eight B-ranks, and all the B-ranks in the South Sea were part of the security bureau.

The bone dragon did not rampage through the city; these high-level monsters were intelligent, and human flesh was not their objective.

The entrance of the security bureau was packed with all sorts of armored vehicles and the corpses of monsters.

The fully armed senior officers finally appeared.

Each one wielded top-tier weapons, clearing out the monsters besieging the security bureau.

This battle had been costly, but fortunately, the B-rank monsters had already been slain by a mysterious figure.

Without the B-ranks, the monster horde posed little threat to the security bureau, and those creatures would soon be eradicated.

When the senior officers saw the bone dragon that covered the sky, they felt their claws go numb.

The terrifying presence made it clear that this was not something mortal power could contend with.

Yet, the officers still formed their battle formations to confront it.

Three B-rank element-type awakeners used their abilities from a distance.

Lightning, sandstorms, and waterfalls alternated in the sky.

Three B-rank close-combat awakeners, holding swords and axes, leaped towards the bone dragon.

The bone dragon's most formidable ability was neither its dragon breath nor its tough bones.

This creature could repair its body with its spiritual essence even after being shattered, and its spiritual essence was incredibly strong, at least at the eighth stage.

After several rounds, the senior officers fell into a disadvantage. Left with no choice, they contacted Welma.

Through the headset, the sound of whistling wind and intense combat could be heard.

It seemed that Welma was also struggling, entangled with a powerful adversary.

One officer, catching a glimpse out of the corner of his eye, noticed a war reporter inside a nearby vehicle, filming this rare scene.

The officer shouted in anger:

"Get out of here! It's dangerous!"

The war reporter remained unmoved, continuing as they pleased.

The officer shook his head secretly and yelled to the other officers:

"All C-ranks and below, retreat to the security bureau! C-ranks, stay with us and hold out until Welma returns!"

"Roar!"

The bone dragon, infuriated by being hindered by these weak humans for so long, had its rage flare up, with the ghostly fire in its massive eye sockets burning fiercely.

It opened its huge mouth, and a black dragon breath, filled with a foul stench, descended from the sky.

"The Lord said, the earth shall protect the people!"

The voice, spoken in sincere Mandarin, was not loud but was clear enough for everyone to hear.

The officers turned towards the sound and saw a priest-like figure floating from a rooftop into the air.

One hand held a staff, the other a holy book. He spread his arms wide as if embracing the world.

The ground trembled, and a thick earthen wall quickly extended from the earth, blocking the dragon's breath.

"The Lord said, the wind and snow will punish the wicked!"

The priest had an impressive demeanor.

His face was full of sanctity, as if bathed in divine grace, and the sky around him swirled with cold winds.

The frigid wind, mixed with frost, howled towards the bone dragon.
