Chapter 52 - Giving Pointers to Chuchu
Chapter 52 Giving Pointers to Chuchu
“There’s only about 200 million Tong coins left. This money sure goes fast!” Qin Feng sighed as he checked his finances. He still needed to buy Elemental Equipment, a villa, a war vehicle, and demon cores, all of which required vast amounts of money. Two hundred million wasn’t nearly enough.
He glanced at the time—it was past eight in the morning.
Unknowingly, the entire night had passed. Thankfully, the breakthrough in his cultivation had gone smoothly.
Feeling cheerful, Qin Feng left the secret chamber. He was heading to find Chuchu and give her the Level 5 gene serum.
Meanwhile, in the gym, Chuchu and Liu Yan were grinning as they climbed out of the combat pod. They had spent the entire night playing in the Global Combat Network.
“Chuchu, the 640 million goes to you, and I’ll take the remaining 430 million. No issues with that, right?”
“No problem at all, Sister Yan!”
The two were already overjoyed and began splitting the money as soon as they emerged.
They had made a fortune this time. Chuchu’s combat ranking had risen from 269th to 178th place, breaking into the top 200 and making her a small celebrity.
At one point, no one was willing to challenge her anymore, and they had to quit.
“Hehe, finally got some money! Tomorrow, I’ll buy cultivation resources and break through to Two-Star,” Liu Yan said, in high spirits.
She had been stuck at the peak of One-Star for too long and was due for a breakthrough.
Beside her, Chuchu checked her bank balance on her phone, her eyes sparkling with joy.
“How does it feel to win money, Chuchu?” Liu Yan asked with a smile.
“It’s amazing! Sister Yan, should we gamble again tonight?” Chuchu asked, clearly hooked.
“Of course, but we’re not going to the Southern Alliance anymore.”
“Why not?”
“Think about it! You’re already somewhat famous there. If we open another betting session, no one will be easily fooled. Tomorrow, we’ll go to the White Tiger Alliance area. The people there don’t know you yet, so we can make more.”
“That’s a great idea!” Chuchu readily agreed.
“Chuchu, you should stick with me from now on. I’ll get you the rank of second lieutenant! No, let’s make it first lieutenant!”
“Uh… Sister Yan, is that allowed?” Chuchu was startled.
After all, second lieutenant could be held by a Level 4 warrior, a body-strengthening expert, or a prospective elementalist, but first lieutenant was typically reserved for early One-Star elementalists. Technically, she wasn’t qualified.
“What’s not allowed?” Liu Yan replied boldly. “In this military district, everything goes by my word—even the city lord can’t overrule me!”
Liu Yan wasn’t exaggerating. With her background, even the city lord had to give her face.
“I should ask my brother first…” Chuchu hesitated, though clearly tempted.
“Fine,” Liu Yan stretched lazily, her figure accentuating her curves.
She glanced at the time—it was past eight in the morning.
“Time flies. It’s already dawn. No work today; let’s take the day off and rest. Chuchu, can you cook?”
“Of course! Do you have ingredients? I’m starving!” After fighting all night, Chuchu’s energy was depleted.
“There’s meat and eggs in the fridge! Oh, and after you finish cooking, call your brother out to eat with us. I’ll take a shower first, so that I can hook up… um… have a nice talk with him…” Liu Yan almost let something slip.
Chuchu, confused, didn’t catch on and just stared blankly as Liu Yan left.
Once alone, Chuchu picked up her phone and transferred money to Qin Feng. Despite her recent winnings, her first thought was to hand the money over to him.
She had just completed the transfer when Qin Feng walked in.
“Chuchu, where did you get so much money?” Qin Feng was astonished as he looked at her. He had just received a text message from the bank saying Chuchu had transferred him 600 million.
“Brother, you’re out!” Chuchu said, beaming at him. “I won that money from combat betting!”
“Combat betting?”
“Yeah! Last night, Sister Yan took me to the Global Combat Network…”
The little girl excitedly recounted the events of the previous night. Qin Feng, after listening, was both surprised and pleased. He was amazed that online combat could make money, and delighted that Chuchu’s combat skills were improving.
“Little one, you’re ranked 178th in the Southern Region? Your combat skills must be impressive now,” Qin Feng said as he affectionately ruffled her hair.
“Sister Yan says breaking into the top 200 is really impressive…” Chuchu said, feeling a little proud.
“Then let me test your skills!” Qin Feng smiled.
“Okay! But, brother, you can only use the same level of strength as me!”
“Of course.”
“Brother, here I come!”
As soon as she finished speaking, Chuchu moved.
Her small figure was as agile as a panther, her swift movements forming perfect curves as she darted to Qin Feng’s side, throwing a punch directly toward his waist. The sound of her punch whistled through the air.
Bang!
It came fast, but it went just as fast. Before her fist could land, Qin Feng casually sidestepped and gently deflected her punch with the back of his hand, sending Chuchu flying.
He didn’t even use 200 points of strength—just 100. He effortlessly countered with a weaker force, striking at the perfect moment.
Slap!
Chuchu was sent flying into the wall and slowly slid down like a lizard. The scene was comically ridiculous.
“Ow! Ow!! Brother! My nose hurts!” Chuchu turned around pitifully, her big eyes welling up with tears. Her nose was red, and a bit of white dust clung to the tip of it.
“Come here, little girl,” Qin Feng said, feeling sorry for her.
Chuchu obediently walked over.
“Your combat technique has improved, but you still use too many flashy moves with too many openings. In real combat, your movements need to be clean and efficient. A single, lethal strike is much more effective…”
As Qin Feng analyzed her flaws, he gently rubbed her sore nose.
After listening, Chuchu seemed to have an enlightenment. Her eyes gradually brightened as she absorbed his advice, and without even realizing it, she had already made progress.
Seeing the realization dawn on her face, Qin Feng was very pleased.
This little girl has remarkable aptitude…
