Su Yan stared unwaveringly at the rabbit in the mirror, immensely vigilant.

He knew this was an Extremely Dangerous World where Giant Beasts were as common as dogs and monsters roamed everywhere. It was a world with many unimaginable creatures.

But he'd never considered that there could be a creature living inside a mirror. Because a creature dwelling inside a mirror felt entirely beyond the laws of life.

Could the mirror have gained sentience?

Su Yan entertained the possibility. After all, this was the World of Shan Hai Jing, where all things could infinitely evolve; even stones could absorb the Essence of the Sun and Moon to develop a spirit. Thus, it wasn't entirely impossible for a mirror to become sentient. Even on more careful thought, it seemed somewhat reasonable.

Bathrooms are generally secluded places where sunlight doesn't shine directly, and year-round darkness can foster Yin Energy. Living for extended periods amidst Yin Energy can cause both living and non-living things, such as stones, to undergo strange transformations. So, just as stones could gain intelligence from the Essence of the Sun and Moon, it seemed somewhat reasonable for a mirror to absorb Yin Energy and become sentient.

Of course, these were all just wild conjectures on Su Yan's part; whether they made sense or not was another matter.

As Su Yan pondered over this, a grating noise suddenly came from inside the mirror.

"CRACK...CRACK CRACK!"

The mirror's rabbit moved. It suddenly began burrowing frantically into the glass, its face full of malevolence, dark red pupils filled with a craving to feed.

"Damn it!" Su Yan cursed silently at the sight, quickly putting distance between himself and the mirror. He didn't stop until he felt he was at a safe distance.

Then he began to size up the mirror and the rabbit, trying to glimpse their biological information panels. However, several seconds passed, and yet, there was not a whisper of the anticipated panel in Su Yan's mind. This somewhat implied that the mirror before him, and the rabbit within it, might not be creatures at all. This was because the external plugin "Knowing each other" was limited to targeting evolved creatures.

"CRACK...CRACK CRACK!"

While Su Yan was lost in thought, the rabbit inside the mirror suddenly began burrowing frenetically against the glass surface, pure malevolence written all over its face, its eyes filled with a ravenous hunger.

Very quickly, SQUELCH! The rabbit in the mirror successfully wriggled its head out from the glass. Its forelimbs, torso, lower body, and hindlimbs then broke free from the mirror.

Then, THUD! The Super Double rabbit had managed to wriggle out of the mirror and landed heavily on the floor with a crash. It seemed to have taken a harsh fall and took a good while to get up from the ground.

Then, with dark red eyes filled with longing, it stared intently at Su Yan. Simultaneously, thick saliva seeped from its mouth, dropping to the ground with a "DRIP-DRIP," giving off an unpleasant, fishy stench. Su Yan sniffed the odor, detecting the faint scent of blood within it. The smell was faint but very fresh.

Su Yan glanced at the saliva droplets on the floor; sure enough, they were mixed with strands of blood. Whether this blood in the saliva was from the rabbit itself or some other creature was unknown. On further thought, it was more likely that the rabbit had just eaten something, leaving remnants of blood in its saliva.

Wait! Could the blood in the saliva be from those students who disappeared?

This chilling thought struck Su Yan, making him feel deeply uneasy.

"SQUEAK...SQUEAK SQUEAK!"

The rabbit in front of the mirror suddenly made a noise at Su Yan, as if it were articulating something delightful. It was only after hearing these sounds that Su Yan broke from his reverie and took a closer look at the Super Double rabbit that had emerged from the mirror.

With just a casual glance, Su Yan realized the rabbit was quite large, about the size of a grown kangaroo. Standing nearly two meters tall, it also had a pair of blood-stained, sharp fangs in its mouth. Paired with its muscular build, the rabbit looked menacing, exuding an intense sense of pressure.

Su Yan was still sizing up the rabbit when, abruptly, a biological information panel popped up in his mind.

Seeing the panel deep in his mind, Su Yan was somewhat surprised. The panel's appearance means this giant rabbit is indeed a creature. As for why the biological information panel hadn't popped up earlier, it must have been because the rabbit was still within the mirror then and hadn't met the triggering conditions for 'Knowing each other.'

As Su Yan was thinking this, the Trash Rabbit before him suddenly let out an extremely sharp cry, sending a buzzing noise through his ears. Then, the rabbit bared its blood-red fangs and, with a mighty kick of its hind legs, launched itself directly at Su Yan.

Without a moment's hesitation, Su Yan threw a punch, striking the Trash Rabbit square on the head.

Following that, BANG! The Trash Rabbit's head burst open, its body subsequently tearing apart. The creature was instantly killed, dead on the spot.

Then, before Su Yan could react, the corpse on the ground spontaneously combusted, instantly turning into a pile of ashes that dissipated into the air and vanished.
