Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 447: The Clan's Alliance and Shane's Recruit

Lesley Cotton, one of the strongest survivors and a member of the Overlord Clan, tried inviting Shane to join their Alliance several times. This Alliance of Clans would allow them to share multiple resources they could produce and trade within the Alliance.

This was only available for Clans who have reached level 5…

Even if Lesley already mentioned that there were a total of 12 Survivor Clans in this Alliance, Shane wasn't inclined to join at all.

His reason was simple: he didn't like the requirements he had to submit. After all, it requires him to provide information about his Clan Members, including their Talents.

Of course, Lesley and the other Clan Leaders would also allow Shane to access their information. With this, everyone would know more about each other, and it would ultimately lead to great cooperation.

Well, their explanation was indeed reasonable since it could indeed develop trust if they all knew about you and your team's abilities.

However, Shane found many loopholes in this arrangement since he felt that others could easily sell that information to those outside the Alliance.

Even if Lesley promised that they would take a Magic Scroll Oath to ensure that they would not leak the information, Shane was still uncomfortable and denied their offers. He had even forgotten about it after some time.

However, Lesley and the other Clan Leaders of the Alliance were obviously offended by his dismissive actions, considering how they believed that their 12 Clans would easily decimate Shane's forces if they worked together.

'It's his loss anyway…' Lesley thought to herself as she believed that it was Shane who would be missing out on lots of opportunities.

After all, some of the Clans could produce precious potions, others had mining sites that supplied them with iron, and another Clan had control over a huge town. The remaining ones also had specialties on their own, and, as a matter of fact, their Overlord Clan alone could already supply cold weapons, and they were already at the final stages of manufacturing explosives… Perhaps, in a few months, they could start producing firearms.

Nonetheless, at this time, Lesley stood at the heart of the bustling camp that had become the hub of the Western Region's Clan Alliance.

It was formed from twelve powerful Survivor Clans. Needless to say, this Alliance represented the region's best hope against the apocalyptic tide of zombies threatening their territory.

Lesley had been a key figure in forging this Alliance.

It was all thanks to her strong presence, coupled with her Legendary Talent: Petrifying Gaze. It made her a force to be reckoned with.

Though Lancelot officially led the Overlord Clan, it was no secret that Lesley was its backbone—both strategist and enforcer.

Lesley glanced at the twelve small buildings within this hub that they built. It represented the Alliance's twelve clans. The hub may be smaller compared to their own territories, but it was simply because it was hastily made at the center of their region.

Anyway, the Overlord Cla was the strongest and most well-equipped, with Lesley and Lancelot at the helm. They were also currently Rank 4 in the Overall Rankings.

As for the rest, they were all Rank 19 and above…

This rank 19 was the Iron Forge Clan, which was renowned for its blacksmithing and weapon production. It was then followed by Green Haven Clan who were more focused and considered experts in farming and food production.

The Blood Talon Clan, on the other hand, were focused on their Ranger Army. They're a combat-focused clan skilled in melee and ranged attacks.

There was also the Sky Riders Clan, a specialist in reconnaissance and scouting, using gliders and drones. Aside from them, the Shadow Dagger Clan had a legion of Assassins with them. They may be the smallest number, but they were also the best killers at night.

The rest of the Clans were the Arcane Dawn Clan, Crimson Shield Clan, Silver Lark Clan, Thunder Roar Clan, Blazing Sun Clan and finally, the weakest among all the Clans, the River Flow Clan.

The River Flow Clan was quite huge, with 150 members, but they were all level 15 at most. They weren't great in combat at all.

However, most of them were women, disabled men, old people, and even weak children. However, their Clan Leader was quite special, similar to the Archbishop of the New Haven Clan, as this person could make his subordinates Healing Specialists.

'Hmph… We have to make him regret for disregarding our Alliance.' Lesley thought.

Well, the reason why she recalled Shane was actually because of their upcoming project. Your adventure continues at empire

Their project was actually quite ambitious: to be the first ever to kill a Lord-Tier Zombie.

This feat would not only grant them a significant system achievement but also solidify their dominance in the survivor rankings.

Furthermore, even if they didn't invite the Eclipse Revenant Clan, she knew that more clans would willingly work for them. That way, even if Shane was incredibly strong with his individual strength, he would still not be a match with their whole Clan Alliance.

'I'm sure that as long as we prepare enough, the casualties wouldn't be that big to kill that Lord-Tier…' Lesley mused.

The Lord-Tier Zombie they targeted was actually located deep in the Blackstone Canyon, a sprawling, treacherous territory that had claimed the lives of countless survivors. In short, it was a dangerous place for level 20 and below Survivors.

Soon, Lesley met with all the various representatives of the Clan as they planned their project.

The Alliance knew they weren't ready yet, but their preparations were methodical and filled with backup plans as well.

The Silver Lark Clan, or the merchant clan within the Alliance, had coordinated a trade network, ensuring a steady supply of weapons, food, and medical resources.

The Green Haven Clan provided high-energy rations for stamina and spirit recovery during prolonged battles.

The Iron Forge Clan produced reinforced weapons and armor designed to hopefully withstand the power of a Lord-Tier Zombie's attacks. Well, considering that the shield they made couldn't be destroyed by Armored Tyrant Zombie with five punches, they believed that it would last for a bit against the Lord-Tier. They just have to prepare a lot of them.

Sky Riders Clan sent scouting parties into Blackstone Canyon, mapping the terrain and identifying weak points in the zombie hordes' defenses.

Then, the Shadow Dagger Clan infiltrated the outer edges of the canyon, gathering intelligence on the Lord-Tier Zombie's minions.

With regards to the fighting method, the Blood Talon Clan and Crimson Shield Clan worked together to train alliance members in coordinated attacks and defensive formations.

The Arcane Dawn Clan were also amassing their various items to provide support spells to enhance the survivability and effectiveness of combatants.

There was also the Thunder Roar Clan that was preparing explosives to collapse strategic sections of the canyon, potentially trapping the zombie forces. Of course, it includes making an escape route if the Lord Tier Zombie is deemed to be stronger than they have thought.

Then, the Blazing Sun Clan, known for their Traps and Defensive Formations, arranged advanced traps and defensive structures along the potential escape routes. These routes were, of course, the possible paths where the Zombies would escape, including their own path. It was to ensure the Lord-Tier Zombie could not flee.

Needless to say, their Overlord Clan would be the center of this plan.

Lesley herself was the main combatant of the battle plan. Her Petrifying Gaze could paralyze even high-tier zombies for several seconds, a critical window for the Alliance to deal devastating damage. For a Lord Tier Zombie, petrifying them even just for a Second or Two was extremely important.

Then, if she boosted her abilities with potions, then this single second may become two or even more…

"We'll have one shot at this…" Lesley said that during a strategy meeting, her voice was calm, and it certainly gave hope to everyone.

"The Lord-Tier Zombie will not give us a second chance. Our coordination must be flawless." She continued…

Then, the meeting progressed as they finished up their plans.

Of course, despite their preparations, the Zombies roaming within the region weren't stopping at all. It was as if an unknown force was guiding them to stop their preparations to attack the Lord-Tier Zombie's territory.

Zombie hordes, mostly composed of Spitter and Jumper Zombies, continued to grow in number for some odd reason.

Moreover, according to the chat, another group from the Eastern Region, Travis' Drakeheart Vanguard, to be exact, was also attempting a similar feat. They seemed to be eyeing the First Kill reward as well.

This competition only added urgency to the Alliance's plans.

"We have to be the first killer…" Lesley thought…

Meanwhile, as several Clans couldn't wait to reach level 50 before attempting to kill a Lord-Tier Zombie, Shane was focused on his goals.

He was now together with the three other people he recruited with his two Epic Recruitment Stones and one Legendary Recruitment Stone.

One of the Epic Recruits was a Hunter named Vernon. He specialized in ranged combat and tracking skills.

What Shane liked about him was one of his skills, called Eagle's Mark. This skill allowed him to possess 100% accuracy within 5 miles!
