Chapter 5 - Trust Yourself or Fate?
Chapter 5: Trust Yourself or Fate?
We often place our faith in destiny, believing that everything is preordained by a higher power. But who, or what, is this “heaven”? In doing so, we neglect to believe in ourselves, as if we are mere puppets of fate, resigned to our predetermined paths.
But have you forgotten your own agency? You are the protagonist of your life! Hope is not something bestowed upon us, but something born from belief and the relentless pursuit of our dreams.
The happiness we enjoy today is the fruit of generations of struggle. Our ancestors sacrificed their lives for their ideals, for their ardent love of our motherland.
Yet, here we are, lamenting over trivial setbacks, letting minor disappointments dictate our happiness. Why? This fleeting life passes by in the blink of an eye.
Cheer yourself on! Tell yourself, “I can do this! I can become better, stronger. This difficult moment won’t last forever.”
May you still embrace life with passion even after weathering countless storms. May you retain the youthful spirit of your younger days, even after experiencing the world’s trials and tribulations.
Nothing remains constant. Change may not always lead to the ideal outcome, but it always presents new possibilities. Who you become is entirely up to you, not anyone else.
Cast aside laziness and embrace diligence. Make hard work your habit, starting now. Strive for progress every day, no matter how small. It’s these incremental improvements that pave the path to success.
You can achieve your dreams, even if others doubt you. After all, it’s your life, and you live it for yourself.
We’ve heard countless motivational speeches and calls to action, but sometimes they ring hollow. Perhaps it’s because words alone are not enough; it’s action that truly matters.
So, stop dreaming and start doing. A thousand fantasies won’t get you anywhere, but a single, determined step can begin the longest journey.
When others underestimate you, let it fuel your ambition. Every encounter in life happens for a reason. The people who enter your life will always teach you something.
Life is a journey, and both looking down and looking up are necessary for navigating the path. To reach your destination, you must be willing to humble yourself and persevere. Those who endure hardships will eventually unlock their full potential.
A person’s life, besides joy and pain, is mostly made up of ordinary days.
Everyone carries a story within their heart, some deep, some shallow.
Someone once said, “Those who can endure loneliness can enjoy prosperity.” Those who quietly toil away are the true powerhouses, for they possess endurance and accumulate strength, eventually erupting like a volcano.
In our youth, we often heard elders tell us, “Study hard! Work hard! Don’t let regrets haunt your future.” Now, I rarely offer such advice because words alone cannot replace personal experience. Only when someone truly understands life’s struggles can they grasp the importance of perseverance.
Cheering yourself on is only beneficial to you; to others, it’s mere empty talk. Ultimately, the effort must come from within.
Meng Jinfei: The night sky is incredibly beautiful tonight.
Guoguo: Really? Is it?
Meng Jinfei: Yes, it truly is.
Guoguo: What makes it so beautiful?
Meng Jinfei: Because the stars are whispering the love words I have for you.
Guoguo: Hmm.
