Chapter 425: Hazy Memories

"Are there any living quarters for her?" Xin Yan asked, looking at Wuhan.

"There is one in the far corner of the same area where you all are staying." Wuhan nodded in confirmation.

"Good! I will take you there!" Xin Yan walked towards Wu Ping and patted her back.

"Can I come along as well?" Ruo'er rushed forward and joined the two of them, seeing Xin Yan agree with a nod. The four of them walked out of the room, leaving the three men inside.

"So, Master Noah, what are you thinking?" Wuhan walked forward with a teasing smirk on his face.

"Do you want me to say something about that special dinner of yours? Huh?!" A tick mark appeared on Noah's face as he turned to look at Wuhan with a dark look on his face.

"Sigh~ Stop acting like little kids and let's wake these kids up first!" Ming Ye sighed, seeing them going at each other's throats, and interrupted them.

Wuhan and Noah snorted at each other before looking at Yuan Ming and Tian Heng.

"I just hope they are not as much of a pain as Shisan," Wuhan muttered to himself before walking towards the bed. Noah snapped his fingers and removed the seal blocking their consciousness.

It did not take long before the two of them started to show signs of waking up. Their eyes shook before opening.

Yuan Ming's body tensed, seeing different surroundings than he remembered.

"Take it slow. You are still not in any condition to move." Hearing the sharp voice of his master, Yuan Ming froze. Jerking his head to the side, he saw three figures standing over his bed. Explore hidden tales at empire

One of them was an old man whom he somehow found familiar, but he could not recall where he had seen that old man.

The other one was a middle-aged man. His messy brown hair and lazy blue eyes made him a little disgusted, but then he recalled something. 'Isn't that master?'

He looked away from Wuhan's gaze, feeling a little embarrassed about his thoughts. Then his eyes landed on the man standing behind his master.

Seeing the unknown handsome man, he could not help but feel both curious and a little annoyed about him. Just then, he noticed the look in his eyes.

Unlike the other two who were looking at him, the gaze of that handsome man was fixed on the crappy sword lying beside him. He instinctively reached for the sword and held it tightly, seeing his gaze.

Noah smiled a little, noticing his actions. Wuhan gulped his saliva, fear gripping his heart, wondering if the man knew anything about this sword.

'If he knows something about this sword, he might come after him.' His expression darkened as he thought of all the possibilities.

"Ugh!" Just then, a low groan brought his attention back inside the room. He turned and saw his prince friend waking up from his sleep.

"Where am I…" Tian Heng groaned as he sat up. His droopy eyes looked around the room without any clue until the memories of the event flashed through his mind.

*Boom!*

"JUNIOR SISTER, I AM COMING TO SA— Ugh!" Tian Heng's aura flared as he shouted at the top of his lungs, almost deafening Wuhan and Yuan Ming. Wuhan moved and slapped him on the back of the neck, nearly knocking him out once more.

Seeing this scene, Yuan Ming did not feel the slightest sympathy for his friend. He had lost count of how many times he had been knocked out in such a short while.

"Shut up!" Wuhan scolded his disciple with an annoyed face before turning around to see Noah and Ming Ye standing there with qi barriers on their ears.

His eyes twitched, seeing their kind, smiling faces.

"Tch! You two don't have to worry about anything now. You are back in the sect, safe." Wuhan calmly announced. He could see signs of worry and confusion on their faces.

It was clear that they had questions and wanted to ask him but were hesitant. "If you have something to ask, ask now."

"What happened to Junior Sister?" Wuhan knew that would be their first question, but he did not immediately answer. "Wait till the end of your questions, and I will answer everything."

"Master, what happened to those people? Who were they?" Yuan Ming was the first to ask a question, as Tian Heng did not care about anything other than his junior sister.

"I cannot tell for sure who they were, but the people who took you away were killed by him." Wuhan pointed towards Noah while answering.

Yuan Ming's mind froze, recalling the image of the person who saved him—the black mask he had once seen before.

"How is that possible…" He did not even realize what he uttered under his breath. He looked at Noah as his face overlapped with the masked man he thought was Long Tian. "…that mask."

Wuhan raised his eyebrows, hearing his muttering. He had never seen Noah wearing the mask, so he did not know what he was talking about.

Ming Ye, on the other hand, realized what happened and changed the topic. "Can you tell us what happened in that place before you lost consciousness?"

Yuan Ming decided to drop the matter for a moment and looked at Ming Ye before nodding. Then the two of them started to recount everything that happened from the moment they met Shisan and Song Liu.

After an incense stick's worth of time, Yuan Ming and Tian Heng finished their story.

"This elder and her disciple—what did they look like? Do you remember?"

When Noah asked this question, the two young men thought very hard, but much to their surprise, they could not think of anything.

Whenever they thought about what happened, all they saw was a blank face without any features.

"What is happening?!" The two of them paled in panic as they realized their memories were hazy. They held their mind in pain when they tried to recall the memories forcibly.
