Wuhan's feet staggered backward as if Xin Yan's cold eyes were staring directly at him, though she was actually looking at Shisan, who froze in fear. Even though this was Shisan's first time meeting Xin Yan in her new body, she found her oddly familiar.

Shisan narrowed her eyes and looked at the woman warily. She did not dare to look down on Xin Yan just because she couldn't sense her cultivation; after all, Xin Yan had just taken her full-powered punch head-on without a single scratch on her body.

Outside the room, a woman covered in a qi shield stood there unharmed, hugging the sleeping body of a small child tightly. Her eyes were closed shut while her body trembled, fearing for their safety.

Xin Yan sighed, seeing her unharmed. Clearing the broken door fragments around the woman, she walked towards her.

Noah smiled, removed the qi shield he had made to protect the woman, and looked at them curiously.

"It's fine now, open your eyes." Wu Ping slowly opened her eyes, hearing the familiar soothing voice of her madam. She calmed down, seeing the warm, caring smile on Xin Yan's face.

Taking a deep breath, the first thing she checked was the health of her son. After that, she looked at the woman in Xin Yan's arms with a curious look in her eyes.

"Xin Yan, you are back… This young lady is?" Ming Ye sighed, seeing everything was over, and came over to her with a slight smile on his old face. Wu Ping moved her eyes to the old man and the beautiful young woman following behind him.

She had never seen someone as beautiful as her in her life besides Xin Yan. Ruo'er walked forward took Shisan from her hands carefully and placed her back on the bed she had been sleeping on before.

Had it not been for Ming Ye protecting them, they would have been destroyed along with the two boys lying there.

"Old man Ming, this is Wu Ping, a new maid I hired while taking care of someone else's mess." Xin Yan replied with a slight nod of her head, as a form of greeting.

As soon as she said that, she waved her hand and threw something in a certain direction.

Ming Ye and Ruo'er looked back surprised by her sudden actions, they saw Wuhan, trying to silently sneak away, was startled to see a 4-meter-long hairy spider leg stopping his way.

"You are not thinking of sneaking away, are you?" Her cold, amused voice echoed in the room, sending shivers down Wuhan's spine. Wuhan slowly turned around only to see Xin Yan smiling at him. Despite how fragile it looked, the leg had stabbed itself into the strong wall effortlessly.

'Demon!!! She is a demon' Wuhan did not dare to say out loud that he saw a demonic smile on her face, but he was sure that smile was not a smile at all. She was looking at him sharply through the small gaps of her curved eyes.

"Why are you trembling…?" Xin Yan appeared worried about Wuhan's state, seeing him trembling on his feet. Ming Ye shook his head as Ruo'er silently chuckled at Wuhan's pitiful appearance.

"Were you planning to go somewhere?" She asked again with a smile on her face.

"I have some work left to do in… the capital city." He was going to stay in the castle but changed his words, seeing the unknown woman behind Xin Yan.

Wu Ping was startled, seeing Xin Yan's sudden change in attitude. 'Does master like this weird-looking man?'

"Sect master isn't going to stay home for dinner? I was thinking of cooking something special for you." Xin Yan insisted with the same smile on her face.

"I… Ekkk!" Just as Wuhan was about to reject the offer, he felt another sharp predatory gaze on his body. Sensing the intense dark emotions coming from his 'good friend,' Wuhan cursed in his heart. 'Damn you fucking psychotic couples! Can't you tell that she is planning something here? What are you jealous about?!'

While Wuhan was making a life-or-death decision, Xin Yan took a step in his direction, scaring him a lot.

"Wait! Wait! Wait! I will stay for dinner!" Seeing her coming closer to him, Wuhan panicked and immediately agreed to it. There was no way he would risk getting beaten when he could get away by eating something.

"Are you okay?" Xin Yan walked past Wuhan and stopped in front of Noah. She raised her hands to touch Noah's cheeks but stopped in between, the memory of his kiss with Elysia flashing through her mind, followed by a sharp pain in her heart.

Seeing Xin Yan standing before him, all the dark aura from Noah vanished without a trace, replaced by a sunny aura.

Seeing the hesitation in her eyes, Noah used his hands to place her hand on his cheek and warmly caressed it. Looking deep into her eyes, he replied, "I am fine now."

Xin Yan's eyes widened before her lips curved into a warm smile. "It's good."
