Chapter 307: Genshin Impact's Incense Burner Of Liyue [307]

The next morning, Gu Sanqiu, weighed down with thoughts, didn't greet anyone before leaving. Once away from the crowd, he used Anemo energy to lift himself into the air and flew straight toward Jueyun Karst.

"He went out again?"

On the Jade Chamber, Ningguang furrowed her brows slightly as she listened to the reports. She couldn't quite figure out what the boy was up to this time.

"He fought with that Fatui Harbinger yesterday. Is anyone tailing him now?"

Bai Xiao shook his head. "There were people following him before he left Liyue Harbor, but after that, he flew off directly. Both the Fatui agents and our scouts lost track of him."

"Then it's not related to that side."

Ningguang tapped her fingers gently against the table, recalling something that happened long ago.

"That brat isn't heading for Jueyun Karst again, is he?"

This time, Gu Sanqiu's pace was far quicker than before. Back then, he had traveled by carriage along the winding roads, but now he was rushing headlong—just slightly slower than someone who could cheat by using Teleport Waypoints.

As he neared the base of the Fulong Tree, Gu Sanqiu gradually descended. To put it in more poetic terms, he "landed from the clouds."

"Tch, here I am again."

Gu Sanqiu was all too familiar with this place. It was here that he had suffered his first defeat—no, his crushing defeat—at the hands of Lord Azhdaha's malice. He had been pounded into the ground and even sent flying like a ragdoll by the dragon's sheer strength.

Strictly speaking, it wasn't even a fight. It was Azhdaha crushing him unilaterally; it couldn't be called a "battle" at all.

In the end, it was the old man who saved the day—Tian Dong Wan Xiang could solve everything.

"So, how exactly am I supposed to summon Lord Azhdaha this time?"

Gu Sanqiu glanced up at the Fulong Tree. If he remembered correctly, there was a flat area near the tree where Azhdaha's prison lay.

But considering Azhdaha's size and observing the surroundings, there were only two possibilities: either the place he was sealed was in a different dimension, or it was something similar to a Serenitea Pot.

"Shouting from the top won't work. Should I use that tunnel instead?"

Gu Sanqiu shook his head. That passage was a key part of the seal. Even he couldn't get in without proper preparation.

"Woooo~ Woooo~"

The sound caught Gu Sanqiu's attention. He turned toward the source of the noise and spotted several large, almost plump slimes bouncing their way toward him.

"Wait, are you… those little guys from before?"

Gu Sanqiu was surprised. Slimes rarely refrained from attacking humans on sight, let alone actively approached them. These little creatures, however, showed no hostility whatsoever. It had to be the same group of slimes he had used as tower defense weapons last time.

"Woo woo~"

The slimes surrounded Gu Sanqiu, hopping up and down as if performing some strange ritual—one where Gu Sanqiu himself was the sacrificial offering for some unknown entity.

But this was just how slimes expressed happiness, similar to dogs greeting their owner at the door when they returned home.

"Owner?"

Gu Sanqiu laughed. "You little guys haven't decided to latch onto me, have you?"

He picked up a Hydro Slime, patted its underside, and even rubbed his face against its "cheeks." The cool sensation was undeniably refreshing.

"Pfft—"

A harmless jet of water sprayed into Gu Sanqiu's face. The other slimes stopped hopping and turned their gazes toward him.

"Hey, hey, don't tell me…"

The slimes' bodies began to glow.

"Solid as a Rock!"

Boom!

Gu Sanqiu calmly stepped out from the center of the explosion and elemental reaction, then herded the slimes away like a teacher guiding preschoolers across a busy road.

These slimes had all been fed with various elixirs he had prepared. While they might not be emperors among slimes, they were at least the best of the best.

Ordinary large slimes would be lucky to be a third their size. Earlier, when they surrounded him and hopped about, Gu Sanqiu could clearly feel the tremors beneath his feet, like a small-scale earthquake.

Overweight (crossed out).

Exceptionally healthy (thumbs up).

"Alright, off you go. Don't disturb me while I handle important business."

Gu Sanqiu flicked his wrist and scattered a handful of elixirs in all directions. The slimes immediately dispersed with a booming sound, each one bouncing off in pursuit of its target.

Finally, some peace.

"Phew, those little guys really were just here for the treats."

For a moment, Gu Sanqiu felt like he had become a slime breeder.

"Now, the question remains—how do I summon Lord Azhdaha?"

Gu Sanqiu rubbed his chin, thinking deeply about the critical issue at hand.

"Should I just use Earthquake Art to knock on the door?"

That would be like visiting someone's house and setting off dynamite at their doorstep.

What if Lord Azhdaha, awakened in a fit of rage, decided to break the seal and come after him?

If Azhdaha broke free, the consequences for Liyue would be far more severe than provoking Madame Ping.

The Earthquake Art was derived from the Mountain Shaking Sutra, a technique passed down from Azhdaha himself. Its true power, when wielded by Azhdaha, would be unimaginably terrifying.

If such a thing happened, no amount of house arrest would be enough to resolve it.

"Maybe I'll just knock on the door?"

Gu Sanqiu tilted his head, then climbed up the Fulong Tree and shouted toward the ground below.

"Lord Azhdaha, it's going to rain—bring in the laundry!"

Silence.

Nothing happened. The awkwardness was enough to make Gu Sanqiu's skin crawl. If anyone else were here, it would've been even worse.

"Okay, let's try this instead."

Gu Sanqiu calmly cast a shield around himself.

"Lord Azhdaha, Rex Lapis asked me to deliver a message—"

"ROAR!"

An enraged roar erupted from beneath the earth. A massive pillar of Geo energy shot upward from the ground, aiming directly for Gu Sanqiu!

"That worked too well!"

"Who said he was sealed? He can still unleash this level of power!"

Gu Sanqiu's emotions were a mix of joy and anxiety—anyone could understand why.

He was thrilled because Lord Azhdaha had finally responded. No longer was he just awkwardly talking to himself in a silent chatroom.

As for the concern…

Everyone knew that, for Lord Azhdaha, there were only two kinds of beings in this world:

Morax and everyone else.

"You insolent brat! How dare you show your face here again!"

The Fulong Tree erupted with chaotic elemental energy. A smaller version of Azhdaha's form materialized above the tree, hovering in the air. His furious dragon eyes glared at Gu Sanqiu below.

Aside from the Geo crystal pillars, several smaller crystal columns formed from other elements, sealing Gu Sanqiu within an intricate prison in mere moments!

"Shocking—Lord Azhdaha doesn't just have offensive abilities; he can seal people too!"

Gu Sanqiu smiled, unperturbed. He had sensed the moment the crystal prison emerged that he could break free.

Waves of energy rippled as Azhdaha's form appeared within the prison.

But this version of Azhdaha's eyes were not the furious crimson of before; instead, they were as clear and pure as the finest gemstones.

"Alright, no one outside can hear us now. What do you want, brat? How dare you use Moraxs' name to provoke me?"
