Genshin Impact: Transmigrated as Furina's Second Personality

Chapter 105: Declaration: There Are Three Hydro Archons

Focalors had hidden herself in the Oratrice with the goal of collecting faith in secret. Her plan was to sacrifice herself when the prophecy arrived, destroy the divinity of the Hydro Archon, and return the Hydro Authority to Neuvillette. With the complete power of the Hydro Dragon Sovereign, Neuvillette could turn all Fontainians into true humans.

But now, the divinity of the Hydro Archon had already been transferred to Felina.

Moreover, Felina had mastered the Law of Water. In other words, there was no longer any purpose for Focalors to remain hidden within the Oratrice.

With Felina's assistance, Focalors' consciousness successfully left the Oratrice.

Felina then used the power of the Law of Water to create a new body for Focalors.

To grasp the magnitude of Felina's current power:

In the past, Phanes, who had defeated the Dragon King Nibelung, created the Four Shades representing Life, Death, Time, and Space—each wielding a divine Law.

Currently, Felina wielded the Law of Water, granting her abilities such as purification, life creation, time suspension, and accelerated motion.

In essence, Felina's current level of power was at least equivalent to that of the Four Shades, if not surpassing them.

For reference, the predecessor of Focalors, Egeria, who was part of the Four Shades under the rule of the Ruler of Life, was a being of the same tier. Creating someone like Egeria required immense preparation, resources, and effort.

But now, Felina—on the same tier as the Four Shades—could create a body with her mastery of the Law of Water. While this body might not match the strength of a god, it was at least comparable to the Adepti of Liyue.

Focalors, who had once been an Archon, naturally had a soul of godly strength. With this new body created by Felina, regaining her god-level power in the short term was entirely feasible.

And so, Felina brought Focalors back to the Palais Mermonia.

That night, many night-shift workers at the Palais were stunned to see not one but two Hydro Archons walking together.

Felina, however, merely smiled and assured them the matter would be explained soon.

...

The next evening, in Felina's office.

Focalors, Furina, and Neuvillette sat at the same dinner table.

This was the first shared meal of the three "sisters" of Fontaine alongside Neuvillette.

During dinner, Focalors candidly shared her identity with Neuvillette, detailing her original plan to resist the prophecy.

Afterward, Furina formally introduced Felina to Neuvillette.

For the first time, Felina greeted Neuvillette as herself.

After listening to the explanations, Neuvillette fell into a prolonged silence.

"Hey, Neuvillette, what's wrong? Why aren't you saying anything?" Furina finally broke the silence, unable to bear it any longer.

"My apologies," Neuvillette said, his tone heavy. "The amount of information is overwhelming. There's so much I wish to say, but I don't know where to begin."

With that, he lapsed into silence again.

"Recently, over the past year, I often felt a sense of unfamiliarity with Furina. Her changes were far too rapid," Neuvillette finally continued. "I considered many possible explanations, but I never imagined the possibility of a second personality."

"But—"

Neuvillette frowned slightly, about to voice his question.

However, Focalors, who seemed to understand what Neuvillette was about to ask, subtly signaled to him with a glance. Neuvillette immediately caught on.

Focalors clearly wanted to prevent him from asking, likely because she had already verified Felina's trustworthiness.

Indeed, all of Fontaine had witnessed how much Felina, now the Hydro Archon, had contributed and sacrificed for the nation. To openly question her identity would only wound both Felina and Furina.

With this thought, Neuvillette changed his approach. He bowed deeply to Felina.

"Your talent, wisdom, and compassion command my utmost respect," he said. "On behalf of myself, I sincerely thank you for your assistance to Lady Furina and for all you have done for Fontaine and its people."

As the Hydro Dragon Sovereign, Neuvillette formally acknowledged and accepted Felina, expressing his heartfelt gratitude for her efforts to safeguard both Fontaine and Furina's happiness.

The rest of the meal unfolded in a warm and harmonious atmosphere. The four of them chatted about various trivial topics, their dynamic resembling that of a close-knit family.

The dinner stretched on leisurely, and only after it concluded did Felina and Furina excuse themselves, leaving Focalors and Neuvillette alone. The two strolled outside the Palais Mermonia, stopping at the railing to gaze out at Fontaine's serene mountains and waters.

Focalors broke the silence. "At dinner, I laid bare my original plan—to sacrifice myself to destroy the divine seat and return the Hydro Authority to you."

"But now, Felina has taken the divine seat to protect me."

"And yet, during the meal, you seemed to avoid discussing this matter altogether."

"…"

Neuvillette said nothing, his expression unreadable.

After the battle between Phanes and Nibelung, the elemental dragons had fallen. As the victor, Phanes had taken portions of their powers and embedded them into the divine seats, granting the Seven Archons their dominion.

The Hydro Archon's divine seat, containing the stolen Hydro Authority, was not only a piece of Neuvillette's legacy but also a lingering shame for the defeated elemental dragons.

Retrieving what was rightfully his was not only a matter of justice but also a way to reclaim their lost honor.

Neuvillette had often envisioned seizing back the full Hydro Authority. Yet now, he hesitated.

That strong, compassionate, and wise Felina.

Felina, who had no obligation to involve herself, yet willingly stepped into the fray to rewrite the story's tragic ending.

On many sleepless nights, Neuvillette had passed her office, noticing the light still on through the window. Admiration and an ache of sorrow filled him simultaneously.

Now, Fontaine no longer required the Hydro Archon's sacrifice for salvation.

How could he possibly bring himself to demand Felina's death just to reclaim the Hydro Authority?

To let a remarkable and noble god fall so he could retrieve what was once his—could such an act ever align with the principles of justice he upheld as the Chief Justice?

It was a question without an easy answer, one that defied a straightforward verdict.

So, he chose avoidance—just as he had avoided discussing the Hydro Authority with Furina over the past five hundred years.

"Wasn't it your plan to bring me into the human world, to learn of humanity?" Neuvillette said at last, his tone layered with complexity. "Are you asking me this now to mock me?"

"That was indeed my plan," Focalors admitted. "But now, I no longer hold the Hydro Authority."

"And I'm not asking to mock you," she continued, leaning against the railing with a long sigh. "I simply want to tell you that in not wanting Felina to sacrifice herself, I feel exactly the same as you."

Her words left both of them in even deeper contemplation. They stood in silence, watching the night unfold before them, the quiet companionship speaking volumes.

...

After returning to her room, Furina asked Felina a similar question.

"The Hydro Authority embedded in the divine seat belongs to Neuvillette."

"By rights, it isn't proper to take what belongs to someone else. It should be returned. But I don't want you to die, Felina."

Furina's tone was heavy with worry. "At dinner earlier, I thought Neuvillette would make a statement, but he intentionally avoided the topic."

Hearing this, Felina simply smiled.

"Furina, sometimes, silence is the best response."

"For me, Neuvillette's silence is already comforting."

Indeed, if he didn't care, why would he choose to avoid it?

When Neuvillette chose to sidestep the issue, it was proof enough that he couldn't bear the thought of losing her, wasn't it?

...

On the third morning, an announcement shook Fontaine and the desert alike.

The Palais Mermonia issued the following proclamation:

Recently, many citizens have reported sightings of two Lady Furinas touring Fontaine together, sparking widespread discussion among the public.

In response, we sought clarification from Lady Furina.

Lady Furina has issued the following statement to all citizens of Fontaine:

Water, by its nature, is ever-changing and multifaceted.

Just as a surging river can branch into numerous streams, so too can I.

Five hundred years ago, I inherited the mantle of Hydro Archon from the former Archon, Egeria.

At that time, the Cataclysm had just ended. Fontaine was in disarray, and its recovery demanded urgent attention. To lead Fontaine through this crisis and toward prosperity, I made a decision.

I divided myself into three parts.

The first part: Furina.

Furina inherited my love and talent for song, dance, and theater. She was tasked with shining brightly on the stage, helping the people recover from the pain of the Cataclysm and easing their anxiety about the prophecy.

The second part: Focalors.

Focalors' soul entered the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale to oversee the adjudication of major court cases, collect faith in justice, and convert that faith into judgment energy to power all of Fontaine.

The third part: Felina.

Felina inherited the Hydro Archon's unparalleled power and wisdom. Sharing a body with Furina, she took on the responsibility of governing Fontaine.

From spearheading missile development and integrating the desert, to subduing the Overlord of the Vortex, Osial, transforming the desert into a lush oasis, and leading Fontaine to victory against Snezhnaya—each of these milestones was directly driven by Felina's hands-on efforts.

In recent years, Felina's strength has grown significantly, and she has now fully mastered the power of the Arkhe element. This allows her to provide energy for all of Fontaine using this power.

As a result, Focalors is no longer required to remain in the Oratrice to collect judgment energy and has returned to the Palais Mermonia.

Since Lady Furina and Lady Felina share the same body, and with Lady Focalors now accompanying them, it has led to reports of sightings of two "Lady Furinas" appearing simultaneously.

As Lady Furina aptly said: A great river branches into many streams to bring water's blessings to more lands.

Furina, Felina, and Focalors are each streams flowing from the great river of the Hydro Archon.

By dividing herself into three parts, the Hydro Archon has sought to better protect Fontaine and care for all her people.

Here, we call upon all the citizens of Fontaine.

There is no need to differentiate between them, for whether it is Lady Furina, Lady Focalors, or Lady Felina, they have all made immense contributions to the stability and prosperity of Fontaine.

They are all deserving of our deepest reverence as the Hydro Archons!

This announcement, once released, truly shocked not only Fontaine but the entire continent of Teyvat.

In Fontaine, the people's faith in the Hydro Archon had already reached an exceptionally fervent level.

And now, with the release of such an announcement...

The deeds of the Hydro Archon had already inspired boundless admiration.

Now, you're telling them that the Hydro Archon even divided herself into three parts?

One part to sing and dance on stage, bringing them joy.

One part transformed into a "power station," supplying energy to all of Fontaine.

And one part stationed at the Palais Mermonia, issuing policies and leading Fontaine's development.

Can you even imagine it?

She believed that what she could do alone wasn't enough, so she divided herself into three parts to work simultaneously!

The Hydro Archon has done far, far too much for Fontaine.

How could we ever repay the grace of the Hydro Archon?

As a result, after this announcement was issued, not only was their faith unshaken, but it further solidified the Fontaine people's devotion to the Hydro Archon.

On the other side, Peruere, who was spending time with the children at the orphanage, finally came to a sudden realization upon hearing the announcement.

So back when she was still a servant, all the information she gathered had been about Furina. But in reality, it was Felina she had gone up against—and who had ultimately subdued her!

She had always wondered why Furina's demeanor had changed so drastically.

Now it all made sense—split personalities! That explained everything.

As for Zhongli, Venti, Raiden Ei, and Nahida—those who were privy to certain truths—they found themselves at a loss for words.

They had assumed it was just dual personalities, only to discover that the Hydro Archon had been hiding yet another layer. It turned out there were three of them!

But Felina and Furina paid no heed to the astonishment outside.

Now that both internal and external affairs in Fontaine were exceptionally stable, and with Focalors having returned, Felina could finally hand off her responsibilities to her.

"After all this time, constantly busy and never stopping, I finally have some free time. Furina, I want to explore this world with you."

Felina expressed this thought, and thus began their journey across the world.

Their first stop was the nation of fire, Natlan.

Accompanied by the Pyro Archon, Mavuika, they traveled across Natlan's six great tribes.

One evening, they donned swimsuits and soaked in the hot springs of the People of the Springs, enjoying snacks and chatting leisurely.
