Chapter 12: Dark knight and the Abyss
Aether looked at Diluc as he just looked at him. "So Mr Diluc I got order that the knight have figured out who the Dark knight hero is".
Diluc knew what Aether was saying, he was speaking in away not to give up his secret. "How interesting and how may have they found out, shouldn't they be busy with the Abyss (I am busy dealing with the abyss order)
Diluc's gaze sharpened at Aether's words. He seemed to weigh the offer carefully before responding.
"So, you suggest I use this opportunity to promote my business while dealing with the Abyss Order," Diluc said thoughtfully. "And you're offering assistance with the Abyss Order?"
Aether nodded. "Yes, exactly. The Knights' curiosity about the Dark Knight Hero could be leveraged to your advantage. If they believe they've uncovered your secret, it could draw attention away from your business and instead focus on your public persona. As for the Abyss Order, if you need any help, we're more than willing to assist."
Diluc's expression remained stoic, but there was a flicker of consideration in his eyes. "The Abyss Order is a persistent threat. Any assistance would be valuable. However, I must ask, why are you so willing to help? What's in it for you?"
Aether shrugged slightly. "We're here to aid Mondstadt and its people in any way we can. Helping you deal with the Abyss Order aligns with that goal. Plus, gaining more insight into Mondstadt's dynamics benefits us in the long run."
Diluc studied Aether for a moment, seemingly assessing his sincerity. "Very well. If you're truly committed to helping, I would appreciate the support. The Abyss Order's activities have been increasingly troublesome, and it's affecting the stability of Mondstadt."
Aether nodded. "Understood. We'll need to coordinate with you and understand the current situation. Let's discuss the details of what's been happening with the Abyss Order."
Diluc gestured for Aether to follow him, leading the way to a more private area within the winery where they could talk without interruptions. As they walked, Diluc spoke.
"The Abyss Order has been more aggressive lately. They've been attempting to infiltrate key areas in Mondstadt and stirring unrest among the people. Their ultimate goal seems to be destabilizing the region and exploiting the chaos for their own ends."
Aether listened intently. "I see. If we're to assist you, we need to know their current movements and any specific locations they're targeting."
Diluc nodded. "They've been particularly focused on the outskirts of Mondstadt, near the Whispering Woods and Springvale. There have been reports of their forces gathering and making preparations for something larger. I suspect they're planning a significant operation."
Aether turned to Paimon, who had been quietly observing. "Paimon, let's start by gathering more intel on these areas. We need to understand the full scope of the Abyss Order's plans."
Paimon nodded eagerly. "Got it! Let's get moving."
As Aether and Paimon prepared to leave, Diluc added, "Be careful. The Abyss Order is not to be underestimated. They have powerful forces and dark intentions."
Aether gave a reassuring smile. "We'll be cautious. Thanks for the information, Diluc."
Paimon just looked at both of them. "Sense when did you two start a secret Langues"
Aether chuckled softly at Paimon's confusion. "We didn't exactly start a secret language. It's more about understanding each other without explicitly stating everything, especially when discussing sensitive topics."
Diluc gave a small, knowing smile. "In this line of work, sometimes it's necessary to communicate in ways that ensure confidentiality. It helps in avoiding misunderstandings and keeping plans discreet."
Paimon tilted her head, still puzzled. "So, does this mean you're both keeping secrets from me?"
Aether shook his head. "Not exactly. It's more about efficiency and ensuring that we're on the same page. We'll share relevant information with you as needed. For now, we need to focus on investigating the Abyss Order's activities."
Diluc added, "Rest assured, Paimon. Your role is important in this. Keeping you informed is part of the plan."
Paimon nodded, albeit still a bit perplexed. "Alright, just making sure I'm not left out of the loop."
With that, Aether and Paimon headed toward the Whispering Woods and Springvale, ready to tackle the threat posed by the Abyss Order while keeping Diluc's concerns in mind.
Paimon then looked at another person. "Also should we do about the drunk bard".
The tree turned there head to see a medium male model. He has fair skin, aqua green eyes, and short black-ish blue hair with short twin braids at the sides of his face that fade into aqua blue, he looked like a girl but they knew he was a girl, as he was defently drunk
Diluc just looked at him. "Let Venti bee, I will tell some to give his bill once he wakes up"
Aether just looked at the drunk Venti, he still remembers when he first meet when he saw with Stormterror he had many questions, but he had a few Theory, one thing was clear he was not normal
Aether and Paimon watched as Diluc approached the unconscious Venti. Diluc, with his usual calm demeanor, arranged for Venti's bill to be handled discreetly.
Aether leaned in and whispered to Paimon, "Venti's presence here, even in this state, is unusual. He's always been a bit enigmatic. Remember how he seemed to know about Stormterror before we did?"
Paimon nodded. "Yeah, Venti's always been a bit of a mystery. It's like he knows more than he lets on."
Diluc glanced back at them. "Venti's antics can be troublesome, but he's also a powerful ally. His true nature and intentions are often obscured by his behavior. Just remember, he's not to be underestimated."
Aether gave a thoughtful nod. "I'll keep that in mind. For now, let's focus on our investigation into the Abyss Order. We have a lead, and we should follow it up while we can."
Paimon looked back at the drunk bard and sighed. "Alright, but let's make sure Venti gets some help when he wakes up. We might need him sober and on our side."
Diluc nodded in agreement. "I'll make sure of it. For now, be careful with your investigation. The Abyss Order is dangerous, and you should proceed with caution."
With their plan set, Aether and Paimon left the winery to investigate the Abyss Order's activities, keeping their eyes open for any clues that could help them understand the threats facing Mondstadt.
A few moment later.
Aether looked at a few knight. "You guys can go through west gate I will take care of east".
The Knight nodded, as they left, Aether was higher rank then then, so they listen to him, as they left Diluc landed down
Diluc looked at him. "Sense when did you become so high of rank in the foolish knight of Favonius".
Aether lapped at that. "You never change do you Diluc".
As then they heard something a cryo abyss mages, as Aether just put of bounded filed.
Diluc looked at the Bounded filed. "I keep forgetting you can use magic".
Aethee Lapped at that. "Anemo is not my only power, plus I have my trump card".
Aether was talking about his 5th through magic Blue, but right now he didn't need to use he didn't need to use the through magic every time, especially sense the world keeps fighting back agent's it
Aether and Diluc stood side by side as they faced the approaching Cryo Abyss Mage. The tension in the air was palpable as the mage's chilling presence sent shivers through the environment.
Diluc unsheathed his claymore with a determined expression. "I don't suppose you have any specific plan for this situation?"
Aether smirked, activating his bounded field to contain the mage's area of influence. "Just the usual: keep them contained and defeat them before they cause more trouble. My magic can handle the rest."
Diluc nodded, assessing the situation. "Fine by me. I'll handle the direct approach, and you can manage the magical interference."
As the Cryo Abyss Mage advanced, its chilling aura spreading across the battlefield, Aether began to channel his elemental energy. The mage unleashed a barrage of icy attacks, but Aether's bounded field absorbed the magic, neutralizing the offensive spells.
Diluc charged forward, his claymore slicing through the air with precision. "I see you're not just relying on your magic. Good to know."
Aether focused on maintaining the bounded field, his concentration unwavering. "I've learned to adapt. Magic alone isn't always enough."
The fight intensified as Diluc's attacks met the Cryo Abyss Mage head-on. Aether supported him with precise, controlled bursts of elemental energy, ensuring that the mage's attacks remained neutralized.
After a tense battle, Diluc delivered the final blow, his claymore cleaving through the Cryo Abyss Mage's defenses. The mage crumpled to the ground, defeated.
Diluc wiped sweat from his brow and sheathed his sword. "Not bad. Your magic really does complement the physical approach."
Aether relaxed his focus and deactivated the bounded field. "Thanks. It's all about teamwork, after all. We make a good team."
Diluc nodded in agreement. "Indeed. And it seems we both have our strengths."
As they prepared to continue their patrol, Aether glanced at Diluc with a thoughtful expression. "I appreciate your help today, Diluc. It's not just about fighting the Abyss Order—it's about understanding the bigger picture."
Diluc gave a curt nod. "Agreed. And if you ever need assistance again, don't hesitate to ask. We might not always see eye to eye, but we both want what's best for Mondstadt."
Aether then looked at the Abyss mages. "I think we have a few questions for you".
Diluc then summons a few fire arm with his vision they grabbed the Cryo abyss mage as they looked at the mage, Aether activated a few mage craft but didn't found anything that will help with truths.
Diluc looked at the Abyss mage. "So what is your plans talk".
The Cryo Abyss Mage, restrained and visibly shivering from the residual cold, glared defiantly at Diluc and Aether. The fire arm summoned by Diluc held the mage firmly in place, the intense heat from the flames creating a stark contrast to the mage's icy aura.
Diluc's voice was steely. "We know you have a plan. Start talking, or this will get unpleasant."
The Cryo Abyss Mage remained silent, a stubborn scowl on its face. Aether stepped forward, his eyes narrowing as he assessed the situation. He tried several mage crafts to probe the mage's mind, but the Abyss Mage's mental defenses were surprisingly strong, blocking his attempts.
Aether sighed and turned to Diluc. "This one's not budging easily. Maybe a different approach would work."
Diluc frowned. "What do you have in mind?"
Aether considered for a moment. "Let me try a different technique. I might be able to break through its mental barriers if I use more targeted magic."
Diluc nodded, stepping back to give Aether space. Aether took a deep breath and activated a spell designed for breaking through mental defenses. He focused on the Cryo Abyss Mage, channeling a gentle but insistent energy that aimed to penetrate its mental block.
The mage's eyes widened slightly, and it began to show signs of discomfort. Aether's magic gently pressed against the barriers in the mage's mind, seeking a crack to exploit.
After a few tense moments, the Cryo Abyss Mage finally spoke, its voice strained. "We were sent to disrupt Mondstadt's defenses. The Abyss Order plans to use the chaos to weaken the city and create an opportunity for a major invasion."
Diluc's eyes narrowed. "And what about the other Abyss Mages? Are there more of them in Mondstadt?"
The Cryo Abyss Mage hesitated but then continued, "There are scattered groups throughout the city, causing unrest and gathering intel. The true assault will come once our preparations are complete."
Aether glanced at Diluc. "We need to act quickly. If there are multiple groups, we have to ensure they're neutralized before the main attack happens."
Diluc nodded, his expression grim. "Agreed. I'll start organizing additional patrols and inform the other Knights."
Aether looked back at the restrained Abyss Mage. "And as for you, I suggest you reconsider your allegiance. You've given us the information we need, but your fate will depend on how you handle the consequences."
The Cryo Abyss Mage's expression was a mix of defiance and fear. "Do what you must. The Abyss Order will not be stopped."
Aether then looked at the Abyss mages. "I don't think you are smart enough for this alone, who is your leader".
The Cryo abyss mages scowled. "We will never about the princes".
Diluc raised an eyebrow. "This was Defently not the smartest cookie in the Cookie jar".
Aether looked at the mages. "Yeah so they do have leader".
Aether pulled out Albion as he cut the mages head, as like all monster in this world the body turned to dust and started to disappear
Aether wiped his sword clean, sheathing Albion with a decisive motion. The remains of the Cryo Abyss Mage disintegrated into nothingness, leaving no trace of its presence.
Diluc watched the process with a grim expression. "You don't take any chances, do you?"
Aether nodded, his face serious. "In situations like these, it's better to be thorough. Information is crucial, but sometimes, eliminating a threat is necessary."
Diluc sighed and turned towards the entrance of the winery. "I'll make sure the Knights are alerted about the Abyss Order's plans. We need to tighten security and increase our vigilance."
Paimon, who had been observing quietly, floated over to Aether. "That was pretty intense. Do you think the Abyss Order will attack soon?"
Aether glanced at her, considering the information they had gathered. "Based on what the mage said, they're preparing for a major assault. We need to act quickly to disrupt their plans and ensure Mondstadt's defenses are ready."
Diluc nodded in agreement. "I'll personally oversee the preparations. If you come across any more Abyss Order members or learn anything new, let me know immediately."
As Diluc departed to rally the Knights, Aether and Paimon prepared to leave the winery. Paimon looked up at Aether with concern. "So, what's our next move?"
Aether thought for a moment. "We need to gather more information. If there's a central figure or leader within the Abyss Order, finding them could be key to stopping their plans."
Paimon nodded eagerly. "Alright! Let's get moving. We need to make sure Mondstadt is safe from this invasion."
With a new sense of urgency, Aether and Paimon set out to continue their investigation, determined to uncover the Abyss Order's full plans and protect Mondstadt from the looming threat.
Aether return to his room, as he went to he was Eula was already sleeping, he then looked at Paimon
Aether looked at Paimon. "A few things are adding up thanks to today, Stormterror, the wind temple, the dragon egg I found, the abyss words, I see now they are plaining to use Stormterror".
Paimon floated beside Aether, her expression serious. "So, you think the Abyss Order is planning to use Stormterror for something big?"
Aether nodded, his brow furrowing in thought. "It seems likely. They've been gathering forces and making moves behind the scenes. Stormterror could be a powerful asset for them, especially if they can control it."
Paimon looked worried. "That sounds really dangerous. If they manage to control Stormterror, it could spell trouble for Mondstadt and maybe even beyond."
Aether sighed, sitting down at the edge of his bed. "Yes, and it means we need to act quickly. We have to figure out how they plan to control Stormterror and find a way to stop them."
Paimon hovered nearby, her gaze thoughtful. "Do you have any ideas on how to get more information?"
Aether tapped his chin, considering their options. "We might need to investigate the Abyss Order's strongholds or gather intelligence from their remaining operatives. We could also try to uncover any connections they have with other influential figures."
Paimon nodded. "That sounds like a plan. But we should be careful. The Abyss Order is pretty dangerous."
Aether gave a reassuring smile. "We'll be cautious. We've faced challenges before, and we'll face this one head-on. For now, let's rest and prepare for the next steps."
Aether was ready to go to fully but his arm was grabbed, as he saw it was sleeping Eula, he tryed to move his arm but even in sleep her grip was strong, Aether tryed to move his arm before he was pulled as his face was then but between Eula bountiful chest.
Aether just mentally spoken to him self. "You the last thing I expected but I like it".
