Genshin Impact: Selling Pokemons in Teyvat

Chapter 34: Chapter 34

"Earlier, while patrolling the shore, I noticed that the opposite bank was filled with Millelith setting up camp. I spoke with them for a while and found out that Lady Ningguang's reinforcements have arrived! So I rushed back to inform you all."

Xiangling leaned against the fire, her excitement momentarily suppressing the cold. But as the chill crept back in, she couldn't help but shiver. Even so, she still brought back the news with a face full of excitement.

Hearing Xiangling's words, the previously lifeless camp regained some vitality.

Keqing looked around, the cheers of the crowd clearly reaching her ears. The people's morale was high!

At this moment, Keqing knew it was the best time to lead them out of here.

"Quick, pack up your things. We're leaving in ten minutes. The Millelith are waiting for us outside!"

Keqing stood up and addressed the crowd. She was never one to procrastinate.

"We're here. This is Qingce Village."

In the sky above Qingce Village, a yellowish cloud quietly descended.

Landorus crossed its arms, its expression serious as it stared at the churning sea of dark clouds below.

As the Gof of Field, it could clearly hear the cries of the fields below.

This made it extremely unhappy. The usually benevolent and compassionate god was now filled with anger.

On the other end of the cloud, Li Pan peered down but could only see the rolling dark clouds and the occasional flashes of lightning.

"Can we descend a bit?"

Li Pan asked Landorus.

Landorus didn't respond, silently lowering the cloud. At this moment, it was savoring the pain emanating from the farmland, which had transformed into almost tangible anger in its heart.

The yellowish cloud quietly descended, piercing through the thick thunderclouds. The crackling lightning struck the cloud but was blocked by a transparent barrier.

Gradually, the yellowish cloud descended below the thunderclouds.

Raindrops the size of thumbs pelted the barrier like mad, but it was futile. Not even Li Pan's clothes got wet.

Now, Li Pan could finally see the scene below.

The once-neat farmland of Qingce Village was completely submerged, turning the area into a watery kingdom.

On the water's surface, dense swarms of monsters were scattered like ants, sending shivers down one's spine at just a glance.

Facing these monsters were the Millelith on land. Dressed in yellow armor representing the Geo Archon Morax and wielding white-tasseled spears, they moved like a walking continent, forming military formations and engaging in battle with the Chi Beasts on the water.

Individually, the Millelith might not be a match for the Chi Beasts, but a well-trained military formation was a completely different story.

The disciplined formations easily tore through the swarms of Chi Beasts, grinding them down like a meat grinder.

From time to time, various colored lights flashed among the Millelith. These were the Vision holders mixed within their ranks, their supernatural powers further accelerating the death of the Chi Beasts.

But as the Chi Beasts died, they turned into drops of azure blood that fell into the water. Soon, new Chi Beasts emerged from the water, repeating the cycle endlessly.

The situation was at a stalemate, but Li Pan, watching from above, could see clearly that human strength had its limits. If this dragged on, the Millelith would inevitably lose.

"…Let's go, Landorus. Can you find where the Chi is located?"

After a moment of silence, Li Pan asked Landorus.

Landorus nodded heavily and pointed to the only mountain in Qingce Village that hadn't been flooded.

"Right now, the entire Qingce Village is filled with a nauseating fishy stench. That place has the strongest smell, like a pile of fish guts left to ferment for three days without being cleaned. Just the smell alone makes me want to vomit."

Landorus didn't hide its disgust.

"Then let's go there."

Li Pan was momentarily stunned by Landorus's vivid analogy but quickly pointed at the mountain.

The yellowish cloud transformed into a yellow lightning bolt, streaking across the sky.

"Hmm?"

On the ground, Keqing, who had just sliced through a Chi Beast, suddenly looked up, scanning the dark sky in confusion.

"Lady Keqing, what's wrong?"

Beside her, Xiangling speared a Chi Beast lunging at Keqing's throat and shouted.

"No, it's nothing."

Keqing shook her head, releasing the now-rested Luxray and continuing to fight the Chi Beasts.

"Lady Keqing, have you noticed that the Chi Beasts seem to be increasing in number?"

Xiangling, who had summoned a ring of fire to rotate around her, couldn't tell if the moisture on her face was rain or sweat.

Keqing didn't respond, instead throwing out three Lightning Stilettos. In the next moment, her petite body transformed into a bolt of lightning, streaking through the air.

When she landed, her expression was grim.

She had just taken a glance from above and saw that the number of Chi Beasts had visibly increased.

"Yan Bang, how's the evacuation of the civilians going?" Keqing shouted.

At this moment, Keqing felt a sense of confusion. She knew who the enemy in this war was.

The Chi, sealed in Qingce Village by the Geo Archon!

But the Chi wasn't an Archon. If they were struggling this much against an enemy that wasn't an Archon, how could they even talk about the era of human governance?

Keqing turned her head and noticed that many of the Millelith were showing signs of exhaustion. This couldn't go on.

"Twenty more minutes, and they'll be completely out of Qingce Village!"

Yan Bang, surrounded by Herdier, shouted back.

Hearing this, Keqing's expression grew even grimmer.

Twenty minutes? How could the Millelith hold out for twenty more minutes?

Even Luxray was panting heavily now.

Squeak!

Just then, Xiangling heard a sharp cry from behind her.

She turned around in panic and saw a Chi Beast pouncing on Thwackey, its mouth wide open, ready to bite down on Thwackey's throat.

Thwackey was in mortal danger.

Xiangling's pupils contracted, and she instinctively wanted to rush over, but it was already too late. She could even hear the sound of the Chi Beast's jaws closing.

A scream rang out, and Xiangling tightly shut her eyes, unable to bear witnessing what would happen next.

"What's going on?"

Keqing's shocked voice snapped Xiangling out of it, and she immediately opened her eyes.
