Chapter #15 Blue Moon #3
It dropped me onto the ground, turning its attention to the person who had just entered through the Gate.
"I hope you understand that this gate is mine. So tell me, why I shouldn't kill you and then later on kill that thing." The mysterious sinner in white said.
The creature advanced a single step before being abruptly slammed to the ground, while the man's intense gaze remained fixed on me. "Well, I'm waiting. Would you rather I reduce you to ashes?" he inquired.
"No, please, hear me out. My name is Evergreen. I'm a fellow hunter and upon seeing the Gate, I thought I could lend a hand and clear it for you. So, please, may I have the honor of battling that monster?" I implored, as if my very existence hinged on this single request.
The mysterious sinner he tightened his grip on the creature's neck and hurled it away from us.
He laid his hand upon my chest and declared, "You are going to die, but at the very least, I will allow you to die in a blaze of glory... Salvation." Suddenly, my entire body was engulfed in a gentle white flame that coated every inch of me, yet it was harmless.
Moreover, I felt no pain from what both the father and those water creatures inflicted upon me. All my exhaustion was fading away, and my spirit was returning to me.
I got back on my feet... feeling amazed and shock by what just happened.
Was that positive gift or some kind of innate ability?
"Go have fun; I'll watch from here," he said gracefully as he sat by the water, pointing at the creature.
As I turned to face the creature, it was already charging towards him. I intervened by running into its path, drawing its attention to myself.
My body felt alive more than it should have been. What did that man do to me?
I'm still fixated on the idea that he used positive gift onto me, but it didn't feel like it.
Regardless I can question him after I defeat this beast.
The creature attempts to strike me with a whip-like sword, which it has fashioned entirely from its arm. It was using positive gifts to morph its body into water.
The attack left a noticeable scratch on me, but I didn't feel the impact, thanks to the Herculean Blood negating any pain I might have experienced.
And since my skin was as tough as diamonds, I could simply ignore it.
I immediately launched a barrage of punches, giving it no chance to retaliate.
Yet, it seemed impervious to my attacks. It remained motionless, observing as I struck, without shifting in the slightest.
The creature, growing weary of my assaults, summoned a massive geyser that catapulted me into the air. In quick succession, it slammed me back towards the earth and then proceeded to crush my head beneath its feet.
The impact of the landing was more painful than anticipated. The creature was not only powerful, but its defences were even stronger than my own. I wonder why I chose to enter this Gate at all.
Even when that guy healed me...even when that guy gave me an opportunity to fight back...I'm so powerless.
"You are a gift from God. I know you will defeat your father. Not with his power but with yours." Those words...
No no no no no no no, I cannot give up now. Mother is probably waiting for me, waiting for me to return back with a smile on my face.
I won't allow her to see a sorry excuse of a son. I will simply have to bet that I could figure out its weakness.
I placed my palms on the ground and summoned my lime aura.
Beneath me lay a vast expanse of grass. I grabbed the creature foot off my face and flung it away to create some distance.
Rising from the grass, a verdant clone of myself appeared. "I need you to create grass warrior clones while I distract the creature," I instructed. My summoned grass beings sat down and began altering the landscape to our advantage.
The creature came out of nowhere swiftly punching me against the face.
Causing me to fly a few metres away but I immediately recover my momentum.
Yet again the creature was in front of me and was about to kick my head off, but I didn't block it in time.
Following up, I managed to punch it against the stomach and this time it reacted to the hit.
Immediately after I grabbed its arm and perform an over shoulder arm toss to the ground. Then I went on top mount position and strike its head over and over and over.
This was the first time I actually saw blood leaking from its lip.
Actually, I felt confident that I would win.
But a massive fountain of water blast me to the sky once more. Following up, the creature then summons a ball within its palm and blast it towards me.
A wave of water that looked like a beam pushing across the domain and near the entrance.
The water was so hot that I felt like my skin was boiling from the inside.
After I landed on the ground, trying to recover my footing. My grass warriors were finally ready.
It may not do much but at the very least it could help-
The man in white destroyed my grass summoners with a tiny fireball.
My eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets at the sight of what that man had done. "Sorry, but fairness is key. Summon anything more, and I'll obliterate it and you with them," he declared. Then, with a single fireball, he decimated my entire army.
"WHAT'S THE MEANING OF -" The distraction was enough for the creature to blind side me with a devastating knee to the jaw.
I felt something creak just now...my body didn't want to move anymore.
Every inch of pain that was suppressed just overload my brain, with every single damage I felt after I was healed.
My body finally just collapsed on the floor.
Blood pours from my mouth as he say, "You annoy me, that's why." Suddenly, the man in white materializes before me.
Looking down at me, he said, "There are three types of houses in this world. The first is your own, where you have the choice to either welcome anyone in or keep them out. The second belongs to others, and you have the choice to either enter and care for their house or stay out and remain uninvolved. Lastly, there are special houses that only special people can enter. You might wonder why I'm telling you this. It's because... YOU ENTERED THE WRONG HOUSE." Those were his final words before a fiery kick to the face turned everything to darkness.
