Chapter 17: Chapter 17: The Goblin Slayer? Nah Gobble these Nutz! Ha Got Im!
"Finally found one!" I shouted as a gigantic wall stood in front of me. I was covered in barriers which hid my location.
Barrier magic is super useful and is Op as transformation magic. Especially since it's now maxed.
I took out the prototype Aegis blade, a light blade I made. It looked similar to Rex's except it was less refined and way more crude. It looked more similar to Shulk's junk sword than anything.
It wasn't made to look pretty, I'll do that once I do a few test runs on the thing. I hadn't gotten much time to test it, between grinding and the training for the Kuoh Ball games. It's mandatory for every student to participate.
So I'm training with some of my classmates as the representative for the class vs class games.
Right now I'm standing over a Goblin Kingdom. After beating a whole bunch of Goblin camps, fortresses and fortress villages.
I'm now finally at a Kingdom! I cleared every Dark Spot around the surrounding area so now it's time to fight the King.
With the activation of a magic circle I took off into the sky and with a snap of my fingers a wave of Gravity blew throughout the entire Kingdom decimating most if not all of the fodder.
Then I sensed all presences inside the castle dying one by one except for one who seems to be holding its own pretty well.
"Okay who would have thought pulling a Pain would be so fun!" I thought as I looked at the devastation below entire building were swept to the sides of the city walls
The only Presence which is alive is the King which should be in that gigantic castle in the centre of the city.
Stretching a bit I flew down.
*BOOM!*
*Whum!*
I dodged a flying slash which was crimson in colour. It was so powerful that the location which it was fired from completely annihilated that part of the castle.
Jumping out of the rubble was goblin about average height, he held two battle axes and it had crimson bloodshot eyes.
It wore a golden crown with plenty of gems adorned onto it along with a blood coloured cape and silver coloured armour with golden trims and multiple gems.
"Right goblins love gold and shiny stuff."
*Fwoooooom!*
It released its aura which shook the ground.
"Die Goblin Slayer!" It shouted before taking out a gigantic axe and dashing towards arriving in front of me at incredible speeds.
Activating [Rabbit's Foot] since it outsped me. I took a step back and activated the prototype super light blade we disappeared in a bount of sword slashes and after images which ripped apart the land below.
I easily figured out its weaknesses by using [Holmesian Deduction] and with a final swing of my sword.
I sliced it in a half with a well time attack from the enhanced light blade I created.
"Not bad…" I say as I look at the prototype weapon which then proceeded to fall apart.
The attacks from the Goblin King were too strong even when I enhanced it with mana and used enchantments, it wouldn't be durable enough to survive attacks like those.
That and I'm fairly new to enchanting as well. The thing is I can add any enchanting I desire to any weapon or object, the only downside is mana consumption, the stronger the enchantment the more Mp is needed another limitation to enchanting.
Also most of the materials I used were mundane materials. Which is why as fun as those few hundred clashes were, I needed to end that fight fast.
"Enough internal monologue let's get that loot."
I should get some decent loot. This is an incredibly strong boss to which if I didn't have certain skills or if I didn't max certain skills I couldn't have beaten it as of yet in a straight up fight.
If I was a pure close range fighting build without my skills I'd be a bit more screwed.
Placing my right hand onto the walls of the castle I created a magic circle in my left. I sent a pulse of magic throughout the entire castle then after a minute a 3-dimensional map of the entire castle appeared with all its traps, chests and loot.
The thing that'd make the goblin Kingdom terrifying is not just infiltrating it but having to fight through of thousands of goblins but also getting to the king, I'd also have to fight through his royal guard, which are also incredibly strong while also dodging whatever fucking traps there is.
No way Jose! Thank Go-! Oh, he's dead in this world. Thank Micheal I didn't stick to the conventions of my class and let it limit my fighting abilities.
Soon I navigated and went through the entire castle opening and lockpicking chests here and there until I finally found the treasury. It was glorious.
In Front of me stood piles of gold and jewels, even enchanted pieces of weapons and gear.
"BUYAKASHA!!!" He shouted. As I used auto loot to take in and sort out the treasure in my inventory.
Exiting the ID I got a notification.
[ID Create has levelled up to Lv.50, ID now has the time dilation feature and difficulty feature. 1 hour inside now equates to 30 minutes outside. Now you can choose between a number of difficulties.]
[Easy - Enemies stats and levels are much lower, the difficulty of puzzles and traps are also much lower. Exp is also slightly lower. Great for those who aren't hardcore 'Gamers'.
Normal(What you are on) - For your average Gamer. Exp is normal, traps are normal, it's kinda dull. Though it's many times more deadly than easy mode.
Hard - Enemies levels and stats are raised to another level along with puzzles and traps. Exp and loot much higher than it was before.]
Not bad, but as much as my fighting boner wants to immediately jump in the Hard mode I think I should do that some other time.
I got loot to sort through.
_______
I sat on the roof of Kuoh Academy with earphones on listening to some MF DOOM. At both my sides were Koneko and Tsubaki who were eating their lunches.
My eyes were closed, I bobbed my head to the beat of the music. Truthfully I was sifting through all the gold, weapons and even raw materials.
I got shit like magi-steel and adamantium and even two bars of mythril!
Fucking mythril. I'll be making sure to study their makeup so I can copy their structure so I can create more later to play with.
Man, I love alchemy!
My smile became wider.
Looking at Seth both girls smiled softly, his smile just always seemed to brighten their day.
Two girls looked at each other and smiled, ever since that day when Seth stopped them from fighting they decided to become more amicable with each other.
For his sake. Both girls knew they had feelings for the boy. And they decided that they'd confess one day and possibly share him as both girls are a part of the supernatural world.
If push comes to shove they'll work hard to become high class devils and reincarnate him if things go well.
They honestly didn't know how their conversation in the morning went about this topic but they're okay with that, though it'd be heartbreaking if he rejected them because of who they are.
It isn't a great plan, heck it's not even a plan but they'll hope.
"I have to go." Says Tsubaki suddenly. Seth took off his earphones and smiled. "Kay be safe."
______
"Kiba here." Seth handed Kiba a box wrapped in a cloth.
"This is?"
"Cake. You seem kinda out of it for the past few days." Said Seth with a truly worried look on his face.
Kiba took on his fake smile, the same smile he'd mostly wear around others.
"Dude, quit it with the fake smile." As Seth said those words the smile on his face immediately dropped. But he continued nonetheless. "I don't really wanna pry since whatever you're going through is none of my business but, I'm always here for you if you need me. And I'm sure your friends in ORC can help you out."
"I see, I never thought I'd be that easy to read." He days with a slightly depressed look over his face before he smiled again this time with one that's a bit more genuine.
"Thanks for what you said I really needed that."
"Hey Kiba, come on we're gonna be late for practice." Said Issei. "Cooper-kun?"
"I gotta go, I'll talk to you some other time." Said Kiba.
"Before you guy's leave watch out for the Ball games the guys are gonna aim mostly for you two especially you Issei.
"Thanks? I guess?" Replied the current Red Dragon Emperor as he walked away confused.
But he stopped.
"Hey Cooper-kun, Kiba and a few of my other friends are going to Karaoke on the weekend. Wanna come?" He asked me.
"Sure why not."
A few minutes later during the dodgeball game against another club.
"WHHHYYYY?!?!?!" screamed Issei as he held his crotch in pain. Now he knew he should've paid attention to Seth's warning sooner.
_____________
"Mmmhhh!" I say as I look at a small piece of adamantium. I had a pair of goggles which had magic circles around the eye section.
I then looked at another sample and smiled. "Alright, it seems like creating another piece of it with transmutation is possible."
"Now to start with the blueprints for my new sword." I took out a piece of paper which blueprints are normally used for and began to draw them up.
After a few minutes I was finished. I think I'll skip school tomorrow, the Kokabiel fight should happen the day after tomorrow.
If my estimates are right, by sensing the barrier that was put not too far from the school. Which meant the fight between the devils and the exorcists happened today.
"Are you guys done with that?" I asked as I turned around to five copies of me.
"Sorta we only managed to stabilise level one, though with light magic it should be more than enough." Said my copy as he showed me the magical scheme and calculations.
I learned duplication magic while I had my clones grind my sub-classes and crafting skills.
The thing is I didn't grind this skill much due to mostly spending my time grinding for levels and it just isn't fun teaming with them.
The grind is just too easy when you have multiple clones you can create strategies with just a simple glance. I placed that in life or death battles only.
