Chapter 27: Chaos Order

As the monsters poured from the spatial gate like a relentless waterfall, their grotesque forms twisted in the artificial light of the shopping district. Aiden and his friends gritted their teeth, knowing they had no choice but to fend off the creatures and buy time for the authorities to arrive.

Aiden twirled his spear, feeling the weight of the Forest King's Tusk in his grip. With a sharp thrust, he slammed the spearhead into the ground, channeling his Overhaul ability. The ground rumbled violently as jagged stone spikes erupted in a fan shape, impaling several incoming monsters in an instant. Blood splattered across the pavement as beastly wails filled the air.

Elena stood a few meters away, her hands glowing with crackling electricity. "Stay back!" she warned, raising her staff. A sudden gust of wind surged from her position, lifting debris and swirling dust into a whirlwind before arcs of lightning exploded outward. A dozen monsters convulsed and collapsed, charred from the inside out.

Ava dashed forward with a fiery determination in her eyes. "My turn!" she shouted. Flames surged around her fists, turning them into molten weapons. With rapid punches, she struck a hulking quadrupedal beast, her blows sending shockwaves through the air. The creature howled before being sent flying into another monster, both of them crashing into a nearby overturned hover car.

Olivia, Felix, and Tomas fought fiercely alongside them. Olivia summoned barriers of shimmering energy to protect the group while Felix unleashed his kinetic-enhanced strikes, punching straight through a spider-like abomination. Tomas manipulated the metal of broken vehicles, shaping them into jagged projectiles and launching them with pinpoint accuracy. The battlefield became a storm of magic and mayhem.

BOOM!

A monstrous entity resembling a fusion of a bear and an insect slammed into Aiden, forcing him to skid backward. The creature's chitinous armor deflected his spear, but Aiden quickly adjusted, gripping the shaft with both hands. He inhaled deeply and focused. His spear dissolved in an instant, the material shifting and morphing into a pair of solid gauntlets covering his arms. With a grin, he cracked his knuckles and dashed forward.

"Let's see how tough you really are!" Aiden roared as he leaped into the air, driving a gauntlet-covered fist into the monster's skull. The ground cracked beneath them as the sheer force of his blow sent the beast sprawling. Without wasting time, he pivoted on his heel, delivering a spinning back kick that sent another creature flying into a storefront.

Suddenly, amidst the chaos, two figures stood atop a nearby building, observing the battle. A man sat lazily on the edge, while a masked woman stood beside him, arms crossed.

"Look at those students," the white-haired man chuckled, his red eyes gleaming with amusement. "They're trying so hard to protect these weaklings. Hilarious."

"Shut up, Scar," the woman replied coldly. "We did what our boss told us to do. Let's leave."

"Come on, Tracker. At least let me have some fun." Scar smirked, his gaze locking onto Aiden. With a powerful leap, he dropped from the rooftop, landing effortlessly a few meters away from the group.

Aiden froze. His heart pounded. Why is he here? It's too early!

Scar stood tall, revealing a muscular frame and a long scar running from his eye to his mouth. His aura radiated confidence, danger, and amusement. "Hey there, kids. Mind if I join the party?"

Aiden's stomach twisted. He knew exactly who this was. Scar, the Diamond Tyrant. A high-ranking enforcer of the Chaos Order.

"Everyone! Get back!" Aiden shouted.

Scar's lips curled into a grin. "Why so tense? We're just getting started."

Without warning, Scar raised his hand, and in an instant, razor-sharp diamond shards materialized mid-air before launching toward Aiden like bullets.

BOOM! BOOM!

Reacting swiftly, Aiden slammed his palm onto the ground, transmuting the stone into a towering wall to intercept the attack. The diamonds embedded themselves into the structure, gleaming under the neon lights. But Scar wasn't done. He stomped on the ground, and the entire pavement beneath Aiden's feet transformed into pure diamond. Massive spikes erupted around him in every direction.

SHING! SHING! SHING!

Aiden barely managed to jump back, avoiding the deadly spikes by inches. He panted. Shit, his carbon manipulation is stronger than I thought.

Scar cracked his knuckles, his red eyes gleaming. "Not bad. But let's see how you handle this!"

He clenched his fists, and his entire right arm turned into gleaming diamond. With explosive speed, he lunged forward, swinging a punch toward Aiden. The sheer force of the attack shattered the ground upon impact. Aiden barely dodged in time, rolling to the side before conjuring a diamond javelin from Scar's own spikes and hurling it straight at him.

Scar smirked, tilting his head slightly. The javelin grazed his shoulder, slicing into his diamond flesh and leaving a visible scar.

"Well, well, you actually scratched me." Scar's smirk widened. "This is getting interesting."

Elena, Ava, Felix, Olivia, and Tomas watched from a distance, their bodies tense. "We have to help him!" Elena said, preparing a spell.

But Aiden raised his hand. "No! Stay back! He's too dangerous!"

Scar chuckled darkly. "Smart kid. But it won't save you."

He raised both arms, and with a single command, a massive wall of diamond erupted behind him. Then, with a smirk, he stomped the ground, sending dozens of sharp diamond spears hurtling toward Aiden at terrifying speeds.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Aiden's instincts screamed at him. He pressed his palms together, activating Overhaul. The diamond beneath him fractured, and he manipulated the material, forming a counterattack. Twin gauntlets reshaped on his arms, but this time, they glowed faintly, enhanced with his own energy.

With a battle cry, Aiden charged, meeting Scar head-on.

Their fists clashed. Shockwaves erupted from the impact, shattering the surroundings. Cracks spread across the pavement as the force of their attacks sent ripples through the air.

Scar's grin widened. "This is fun! Let's see how long you last!"

Aiden exhaled sharply. Damn it. This fight just got a whole lot harder.
