Chapter 255: Chapter 255: Signing the Agreement

By the time they arrived at the company, Haruno had already gotten there ahead of them and was in Hazuki's office, going over the contract.

When she saw Yukino walk in, Haruno happily opened her arms and pulled her into a hug.

"Yukino~~~"

Surprisingly, Yukino didn't dodge this time, and Haruno easily hugged her without resistance.

"Huh? That's unusual."

Looking down at the younger sister in her arms, Yukino stared back at her expressionlessly and said,

"Haruno, have you hugged enough?"

"Ehhh~ Let me rub your face!"

After hesitating for a moment, Haruno rubbed her cheek against Yukino's stiff expression before finally letting go.

Touching her own face, Yukino couldn't see it, but she was sure her cheeks had been rubbed red.

If I'd known this would happen, I wouldn't have let her hug me like that...

Yukino wasn't the only one ambushed. Ichin faced the same treatment—the moment he arrived, Umiko had him in a headlock.

"Didn't think you'd be so generous, giving us shares like that."

As a survival shooter pro, Umiko's arm strength was no joke. Ichin couldn't break free at all and could only smile helplessly.

"You're all part of my founding team, of course I'm going to treat you well. As long as our studio keeps growing steadily, I promise each of you will be getting a fat bonus every year."

Hearing that, not just Umiko, but everyone around was visibly excited—though thankfully no one else jumped him like she did.

After ruffling Ichin's hair, Umiko finally let him go and smiled teasingly,

"If it weren't for Utaha being here, I might've given you a big sisterly kiss just now."

Utaha laughed and chimed in, "I wouldn't mind. Go ahead."

"Let's not—I mind."

Ichin rubbed his neck and said, "I'm still young, I can't handle that kind of emotional trauma. Hazuki-san, are the contracts ready?"

"They're all set."

Ichin nodded, then turned to Haruno and Yukino.

"Alright, you two first. Let's head to my office. Hazuki-san, could you please bring the contracts?"

Once inside his office, Ichin reviewed the shareholder agreement Hazuki brought over one last time. After confirming there were no issues, he handed copies to Yukino and Haruno.

Although Yukino wanted to become a lawyer in the future, at the moment she was still a complete novice, and not very skilled at reading contracts.

Haruno smiled at her and said,

"Go ahead and sign it, Yukino. I've already checked it—everything's fine."

Yukino picked up the pen and signed her name without hesitation.

Then Ichin signed his name on the contracts as well and stamped them with the company seal.

"All done."

Standing up, Ichin shook hands with both sisters and smiled.

"Welcome aboard. I promise you won't regret becoming shareholders."

Haruno beamed.

"Not having to be involved in decision-making or operations makes this a really easy deal for me. I'll just wait for the year-end dividends. As for the funds, they should be in the company's account within three days."

"Sounds good."

After the Yukinoshita sisters finished signing, Ichin also signed the equity agreements with Yagami Kō and the others.

Compared to the 20% total shares held by the Yukinoshita sisters, the shares Kō and the rest received were much smaller. However, none of them felt disappointed. As founding members, they were well aware of the company's potential for future growth. Even a small number of shares now could become incredibly valuable once the studio truly took off.

More importantly, it gave them a stronger sense of belonging than ever before.

After signing the agreement, Aoba lightly pinched her own cheeks and said in disbelief,

"I really got company shares?"

Beside her, Sakura Nene responded calmly,

"It's just a tiny bit. Not really worth much now. What matters is what those shares will be worth in a few years!"

Yagami Kō agreed,

"Exactly! Once our studio becomes more famous and successful, we'll really start making good money. Ahh, I have a feeling I'll be able to buy my own place in Tokyo before I hit thirty."

Though living in the company dorms was convenient and cost-free, ever since buying a car, Kō had been more and more motivated to make money and buy her own home.

Ichin chuckled,

"Buying a house, huh? Then you better work hard, Kō. Let's create a few hit games together, and you'll have that house in no time."

"Mhm! That's the spirit!"

Excited, Kō grabbed both Toyama Rin and Aoba by the hand and pulled them toward the door.

"Go go go! Time to work!"

Soon, only Ichin and Utaha were left in the office.

Ichin waved her over, and she smiled, walking over and sitting down on his lap.

With his arms wrapped around her waist, Ichin looked at her and asked,

"You really don't want any shares?"

"Do I need them?"

Utaha countered with a smile,

"Whether I have shares or not, I'm still the boss's wife, aren't I? And if I really wanted something, would you ever say no to me?"

"Well, that's true."

Ichin nodded in agreement. After accepting a sweet kiss from Utaha, he asked,

"Then, is there anything you do want? I haven't given you a gift since Valentine's Day."

Utaha hugged him tightly, resting her cheek against his neck as she closed her eyes.

"A gift? Not really. I'm already really happy with how things are. I have everything I need. Hmm… once my relatives leave, let's go spend a day at Disneyland, okay? More than any gift, I just want to unwind a bit. I've been so busy with my new novel lately, I'm exhausted."

"Is the new book almost done?"

"Just a little more. But I've got enough time—next week I can finally slow down a bit."

"Alright, it's a plan then."

Taking Utaha out for a day was no big deal for Ichin. As long as there was time, they could go anytime.

He had already been thinking about finding a chance to let her relax, and it turned out she brought it up first.

After spending a bit more affectionate time in the office, Utaha stayed behind to read, while Ichin headed out and walked over to the programming team's area.

"Umiko, how's the system development coming along?"

Umiko glanced back at him and pointed to her screen.

"Still working on it. Nothing too complicated, but there are a lot of features you want to include—not to mention the daily mini-games. Integrating everything is tricky, and I need to be careful not to accidentally create some bizarre bugs."

Ichin nodded, pulled over a chair, and sat down beside her to help analyze the work.

The game's core framework was mostly done. The key systems—like the Persona training system and the character development mechanics—were also nearly finished. Once the art assets were completed, they could start integrating everything and see how it all worked together.
