Gaia Chronicles: The Integral Saga

Chapter 150: Threads of Light

Location: Gaia HQ – Healing Ward Garden

A week had passed since the Abyssal Rift mission. The world outside Eun-Ha's hospital window glittered in gentle morning gold, leaves fluttering, breeze caressing her pale cheeks.

Eun-Ha sat in her garden wheelchair, Solmaria resting beside her.

Her recovery was slow—but something had shifted. Not just physically, but within.

"Eun-Ha."

She turned at the familiar voice.

Cyg stood nearby, holding two cups of warm citron tea—her favorite, though she never told him.

"You remembered," she murmured.

"I remember everything about you," he said simply, offering her the cup. "Especially what you try to hide."

She blushed faintly. But behind her quiet expression, a seed of warmth began to bloom.

Location: Gaia HQ – Archives Wing

Later that day, Eun-Ha found herself descending into the lower archives, drawn by an inexplicable pull. Her staff, Solmaria, had begun pulsing intermittently—not with weakness, but purpose.

The pulse guided her hands to a dusty volume.

"The Solmari Codex"

'For the Solmaria Bearers, the path is not just one of war—but of remembrance. The threads of the divine flow through memory, not just power.'

She flipped through it, each page unearthing visions—past wielders of Solmaria, echoes of priestesses who had walked through wars, held empires together, saved gods and demons alike.

And in one vision—

She saw herself.

Not now. Not here. But before.

A reincarnated image: a solemn-eyed priestess with Solmaria clasped in hand, standing atop a burning temple.

"Eun-Ha," the voice echoed in her mind. "Your divine thread has never broken. You have only forgotten how to follow it."

Location: Gaia HQ Training Grounds – Two Nights Later

A thin rain misted over the field. Eun-Ha stood in her practice robe, Solmaria fully restored.

She moved through stances—not battle ones, but ritual flows.

Threaded Ether—light as a whisper—coiled around her like ribbons. It was beautiful. Balanced.

But it was Cyg who watched from the shadows.

"You're dancing," he said aloud.

She paused, smiling.

"It's called Saehal. A divine prayer in motion."

"It's… gentle. Powerful too."

"Like the ones I care about."

He stepped closer.

"And who might those be?"

She didn't answer. Instead, she reached out and took his hand.

"Let me show you."

Together, they moved. A slow, sacred pattern—one foot over the next, an arc of the staff mirrored by his sword. Her Ether and his danced in harmony.

Under the moonlight, they glowed as one.

Location: Gaia High Council Tower – Secret Chamber

But elsewhere… shadows stirred.

The High Priestess of the Solmari Order—a woman long thought dead—watched a live feed from Gaia's interior.

"She's awakening."

A robed figure beside her bowed.

"Shall we intervene?"

"No… not yet. The Light must be tempted before it can be claimed."

She opened her hand, revealing a shattered piece of an ancient Solmaria fragment—twisting with dark light.

"Let's see if Eun-Ha is worthy of becoming the true Divine Host."

Location: Eun-Ha's Quarters – That Night

She slept soundly, exhausted from Ether discipline and emotional clarity. But in her dreams, the vision returned:

A cathedral on fire.

Cyg dying in her arms.

Solmaria breaking.

And a whisper—

"Only the divine chosen may walk unburned."

She woke in cold sweat.

"No more running," she whispered. "No more silence."
