Chapter 1129 - Rank 9 Alchemist
A moment later, five elders, including Endo, who seemed to have the same amount of skill as Firia in Alchemy, sat in front of him.
Endo thought for a moment, remembering what Firia said earlier. After thinking the right words, he stood up and cupped his hand. "This is the test for High Rank 9 Alchemist. According to you, you are going to make the White Ash Pill, correct?"
Alex nodded. "Yes."
"Uoh?" The other elders also knew about the benefit the pill could offer, so they became curious about it. They thought it was just an arrogant young man that didn't know his place, but with Firia guaranteeing his identity and skill as well as the pill he had chosen, it was better to not say anything for the time being.
They just hoped that Alex didn't waste the rare ingredients of the White Ash Pill because they were too precious for a Fire Elemental User like them. No one would ever reject the opportunity to increase their cultivation stage by one after all.
In fact, this also became the reason why Firia suggested this pill to him. She didn't like the elders to be looking down on him just like how they used to when she took the test here.
"You may begin as soon as you are ready." Endo stretched his hand, allowing Alex to start.
Alex nodded politely before releasing his fire.
Suddenly, they felt the natural suppression from the Pure Fire, albeit they soon noticed the difference. They fell down on their knees as the flame inside their body revolved crazily.
"Pure Fire. And this is stronger than Rio's Pure Fire." One of the elders drew a gasp and looked at Alex with fear in his eyes. No wonder Firia would bring him here.
Alex ignored them because he had yet to use his Fire Authority. If he were to use it now, the entire tower might need to kneel like how the former Fire God was feared by all Fire Elemental Users. They simply couldn't handle him the moment he released his Godly Pure Fire. And this was also why the alliance sent all their Fire Element Users toward Eulja instead of on the main battlefield.
They were simply useless and became the hole that could be taken advantage of by Alex. At the same time, it also made the Metal God's decision easier. Instead of letting them stay away from the battlefield, it was better to send them to another place.
Unfortunately for him, Aria seemed to be reading that move and told Alex about it. That was why he sent all his wives to bring the reinforcement.
Enough with the war, Alex's focus returned to the Alchemy Furnace before him. He took out all the ingredients at once before tossing them into the furnace.
Of course, there was no way that a single set of ingredients could make three pills at once. He needed to refine three pills at the same time, treating it as one. That was what Firia told him.
He then warmed the ingredients up before starting to refine them.
After considering several things, he chose not to use his array during this process and only relied on his Pure Fire. Even so, the quality of the pill shouldn't be affected. Only his refining speed should be slower.
He separated all the ingredients from each other while treating the same ingredients at the same place.
Slowly but surely, the same ingredients were mixed up with each other, turning into one set of ingredients that had three times of efficacy. This was the first step to turn a recipe for one pill into three pills at once.
Obviously, this required a high degree of skill. Although Alex's refining technique wasn't the best, he should have slightly less skill than Firia.
The refining process took around two hours before he felt that the ingredients were ready for the next step. Because there were no impurities needed to extract, Alex quickly skipped to the next part.
He started harmonizing the energy, which ultimately had been suppressed by Alex's Pure Fire this whole time, so it became easier to control them. He mixed them up before burning them until they were ready to be fused.
It took another ten minutes before Alex decreased the temperature and closed the lid. His Pure Fire turned into a spiral as it began mixing all the ingredients inside.
Alex smiled and waited a bit more until they started to fuse and burst the flame to melt the pill once more. At that time, the pill became even easier to split.
Alex split the pills without a problem and decreased the temperature even further for the pill to solidify.
With a wave of his hand, the lid was opened. The sweet pill aroma permeated the room as they truly believed that Alex managed to succeed.
However, their shocks didn't end there as he summoned three Perfect Purity White Ash Pills out of the furnace at the same time.
"What? He managed to do three and all of them are perfect purity?" Endo dropped his jaw to the ground. "Because of the lack of ingredients, it's hard to even practice this type of pill, let alone creating one.
"And those who were capable of doing so needed thousands of years' worth of experience after doing so many trials and errors. Yet, he could do such a thing this young?"
Alex only smiled as he truly had undergone so many practices for this pill inside a Simulation Room. If they knew there was an array as powerful as that, they would surely ask for it no matter the price.
Unfortunately, the requirement for that array was his Unique Space Element, so they couldn't use it even if they had the array in their hand.
"I didn't cheat. I believed you all had been observing me this whole time," stated Alex before asking, "So, what's the verdict?"
Endo looked at the others' expressions, knowing that the verdict was clear. He just couldn't believe that Firia's husband was more ridiculous than he could've ever imagined.
'Ah, I really want to gather all the information about the Spirit God right now. I will surely do it after this test.' Endo let out a long sigh and opened his mouth. "You pass. You are now officially a High Rank 9 Alchemist."
"Haha, Young Man, I'm wondering whether you can sell me one of those pills? I can pay you three billion Spirit Crystals."
"Wait. Three billion Spirit Crystals for a White Ash Pill is too low. This pill is a dream pill for an Alchemist. I can pay you four billion Spirit Crystals." Another elder cut in and offered a higher one.
Alex shook his head and sighed. "I will be auctioning two of them. I still need the other one."
"This…" The elders simply had no words to say. If he truly auctioned it, depending on the promotion, the price might rise up to ten Billion Spirit Crystals each.
It was like a godsend pill that could increase one's cultivation by one realm after all.
Suddenly, Firia's voice echoed in his mind, asking, 'Why? We don't need it, right?'
'Just in case. We can go around this tower or even this world to check if we find something amusing.'
'So, you are planning to get such a thing by using this? I am sure that nothing is close enough to that, but I guess you can do it for a while.'
'Yes. If I don't find something good, I will put it in the auction on the last day.'
Firia agreed with his arrangement and turned to the five elders. "Elder, I believe you have the badge ready, right?"
"Yes. But we need his blood to make it personally his." Endo nodded and looked at Alex with a scared expression. Asking the Spirit God for his blood, wasn't that the same as challenging the death itself?
However, Alex had no intention of arguing with someone here, so he agreed without hesitation. "Alright. Where?"
Endo took out a badge and presented it to Alex. "Here."
Alex nodded and cut his skin with his nail, letting the blood drop to the badge. It soon glowed as if the badge was enveloped by white light. But that soon disappeared because of the lack of energy.
"As long as you have this badge, no one should bother you, considering you are one of the highest rank Alchemists. Besides, there is one feature that you can apply to show that this badge is real.
"Every single badge is accompanied by a certain array inside it. The only way to activate that array was to inject the same blood that had been registered inside. That was why you could simply prove that you were the real owner with just another drop of blood.
"This effect would become permanent even if you're dead to prevent anyone from acting like one of us. I'm sure that with how young you are, there are many people who can't believe your identity, so this function can easily solve everything as long as they know about Pill World.
"Of course, almost all of them knew that we tried to be as fair as possible, increasing our credibility even more. Hence, this badge will become the shield that protects you in any kind of situation." Endo presented the badge to him.
Alex carefully took the badge with a nod. "Thank you. I appreciate it."
Endo nodded and stepped back.
Meanwhile, Firia walked closer to him while giggling. "You have finally finished the assessment. It's not that hard, right?"
"Haha, I shouldn't answer that question." Alex shook his head helplessly before thinking, "Where should we go next? Should we put the pills in the auction hall first?"
"Yeah. I think we can hire them to promote this pill. Although it requires money, it's so little to the point you don't care about it if you end up selling one. And it's not like you need to create a banner. We only need a single announcement inside the tower and the rumor will start spreading all over the world. All the wealthy people will surely participate."
Alex nodded with a serious expression. "Sure. Let's do it your way."
Firia then continued with a thought transmission. 'Though, thank you for shocking them. I enjoyed their reactions. They were literally speechless.'
'Haha. It's fine. You don't need to joke about them anymore even though I know you have a grudge. Maybe, it was them looking down on you, but it was all in the past…'
'I understand since you put it that way.' Firia nodded with a pout. "Anyway, let's go outside. We will go to the auction house right now."
"Sure." Alex agreed and signaled William to follow them. Before leaving the room, he clasped his hand to the five elders. "Thank you for your time. I really need to go, five elders."
"Y-yes."
