Gacha Player: My Luck is Multiplied 10x

Chapter 24: Higher Races

Kaiju nodded. Now the atmosphere cooled down somewhat, Kaiju was instantly reminded of the mission of the Trial. As the participants who were in the Trial for a decade, their expertise on the Trial was certainly a massive boon to him. Hence, he didn't hesitate to inquire with them.

"How much time do we have until the baron vampire awakens?"

Max was stunned and so was Qwanisha, as they suddenly exploded into a hoot of laughter.

Qwanisha, while wiping the tears on her eyelids from the excessive laughter, replied, "He will never be awakened until we successfully snatch his treasures from his burg. In fact, as of this moment, we should not be worried about him, but those other races who have been waiting at the same time as us.

We've been testing their patience. If it was not for us that we were given the mission to snatch the treasures, they had long killed us."

Kaiju was stunned. To be honest, he was really worried about the awakening of the vampire baron, but it seemed, as stated by Qwanisha, he must fret more on the impatience of the other races.

Now that the couple mentioned them, Kaiju asked, "Can't they just complete our mission?"

Qwanisha shook her head and replied, "They can't. The moment they enter the burg, the baron vampire will instantly awaken, whereas if it's us, the lowest among the races, the baron vampire can leave the task of protecting his treasures to his subordinates. The Trial already explained that.

Haven't you asked it?"

Kaiju shook his head. After all, how could he ask the Trial when he has a Gacha System now? The Trial already stated that it would not interfere with the Gacha System and him, leaving him no choice but to quickly forget about his existence.

"Well, that is strange. Forget about it." Qwanisha shook her head and continued, "Well, as I've said, the baron vampire will awaken the moment we successfully snatch the treasure, so we must cooperate with the other races at all cost."

Qwanisha suddenly turned around, leaving Kaiju perplexed. She suddenly shouted at the top of her lungs, "GIVE US THREE MORE MONTHS!"

Kaiju turned to Max and the latter appeared unworried, so Kaiju relaxed. However, he was suddenly startled when dark figures appeared from the shadows in front of Qwanisha one after another. Kaiju perceived their presence as perilous as Qwanisha and Max… or even higher than that.

He instinctively protected Snow and Little Gorilla, peeking at them and seeing their serene sleeping faces made Kaiju heightened his guard up.

"Another three months…" One of the dark figures growled.

When it finally revealed itself, Kaiju was terrified by its appearance. It was a grey wolf, yet standing like a human. Whenever it spoke, the razor-sharp yellow teeth appeared, saliva even fell as its long tongue spat some. Its claws were as massive as the thrall, and despite its size, almost the same as the thrall, Kaiju wouldn't be surprised if it suddenly appeared in front of him.

From what he recalled from what his teacher taught, werewolves were divided by hierarchy, grey being the lowest, next brown, blue followed, and the black and white stood at the peak. Though black and white were not against each other, they were still trying to prove which colors must stand at the top, obtaining the acknowledgement of the moon of being the strongest in the werewolves race.

What Kaiju was seeing in front of him was only a grey werewolf, and yet, Kaiju doubted if he could even sever even a single strand of its grey hair.

Kaiju glanced at Qwanisha and seeing her impassive face, he calmed down somewhat.

However, what he failed to notice was that Qwanisha was greatly shaken when the werewolf growled. If they were to battle, she would certainly lose. Even so, she had to keep up a fake appearance so she could successfully negotiate with them.

Qwanisha turned to Kaiju, impelling the grey werewolf to stare at Kaiju and growling once again. For some reason, its beast blood convinced him that Kaiju was someone it should not offend, and knowing the reason was what infuriated it.

"This guy… is a potential beastmaster. With beasts around, we could utilize him to the fullest to increase the chances of stealing the burg. Three months should already suffice."

Qwanisha admitted three months were a bit too less to train Kaiju, but she didn't have a choice. Her instinct was telling her she could only negotiate three months at most.

She turned to the grey werewolf and asked, "In the past decade, we've been attempting to raid the burg, ending in a pathetic death of some of my former team. Now, their sacrifices won't be in vain. We can assure you we will try our best to succeed. You've waited for a decade anyway, three months shouldn't be that long."

Before the grey werewolf could even respond, another deep, rough voice intervened.

"Make it certain. Don't give us your doubtful assurance."

Kaiju glanced at the direction of the voice and his heart skipped a beat to see a creature emanating a red flame all over his body. He didn't have eyes, only an empty socket, but there was a wisp of red flame floating in the middle. He was standing like a human, but more like a scorched corpse.

He recognized what it was…

'Infernals.'

A race higher than humans in the hierarchy, a race that was feared by humans due to their innate ability to manipulate flame to a great extent.

Just like werewolves, they also had hierarchy on their race, an infernal emanating a red flame were the lowest, followed by blue, violet, and then white or black.

The white or black infernals were too rare, even creating their own royalty within their race. Similar to werewolves, white and black infernals were at odds with each other. Honestly, if it was not for internal conflict the other races were facing, the Towers would have been in chaos, even affecting the Earth.

Kaiju was only staring at it, even a bit far away from the infernal, but he could already perceive the hotness from the flame. The infernal in front of him was another creature he could not offend, not even Qwanisha and Max combined.

"We will snatch the treasures and give it to you all." Max intervened, discerning Qwanisha couldn't take it alone, despite the latter appearing otherwise.

He shouted, "There are seven other higher races combined on this Trial, we will make sure to steal the same amount!"

He still tried his best to lower his voice though. Even so, it suffices for other higher races in hiding to hear what he oathed.
