Chapter 469: Full Discussion
Captain Ishiro noticed the stress, worry, and mass confusion etched on both of their faces as one guard ran off to acquire the team.
"Don't worry, things will work out. Now, let's get going."
The remaining guard nodded, his expression tense. "Please, let's make it quick. I imagine he will want to know what is going on."
As they made their way down corridor after corridor, the atmosphere grew more intense. Men and women in training halls worked out and sparred with each other, their grunts and the clash of weapons echoing through the space. The air was thick with the scent of sweat and metal, a testament to the rigorous training regimen.
They approached a long hallway with rooms marked 1-20, designated for Vice Captains and Captains. The walls were adorned with plaques and insignias, each representing the legacy and honor of those who resided within.
The rhythmic sound of their footsteps on the polished floor created a steady beat, underscoring the urgency of their mission. The flickering lights above cast a stark, almost surreal glow on their path, adding to the tension that hung in the air.
Walking down the long corridor, Captain Ishiro and Janice approached a door marked "Captain." Captain Ishiro placed his hand on the door's security panel. It flashed green, and the door slid open, revealing Captain Aurelius engaged in a fierce duel with another person.
The clash of steel sent sparks flying, and Janice instinctively ducked behind Captain Ishiro as the energy from the battle surged towards them, almost knocking her off her feet.
Captain Aurelius moved with precision, his blade colliding with his opponent's in a flurry of strikes. The room was filled with the sharp, metallic sound of clashing swords. As Captain Aurelius prepared to slam his blade down with a decisive blow, a single drop of water appeared between the blades. The impact created a massive burst of steam, filling the entire room with a thick, swirling fog.
The sudden change in temperature was immediate, the heat from the steam juxtaposed with the coolness of the mist that followed.
The steam began to dissipate, transforming into a light mist that hung in the air, creating an almost ethereal atmosphere. Slowly, the mist settled, revealing the two combatants standing still, their swords now lowered. The tension in the room was palpable, the air heavy with the remnants of energy from their fierce exchange.
Captain Aurelius with his top attire torn to shreds and marks of small cuts of blood around his body looked in the direction of Captain Ishiro and cursed at him "What the fuck are you doing here?! Can't you see im busy training my Vice Captain?! "
Jackass you better have a good reason we were just about to finish warming up.
Captain Ishiro looked to the other side of the room as he saw a man in a white shirt and white pants with a black belt wrapped around his waist.
You must be 6th Division Vice Captain Masabi is that right?"

The man, his hair tied in a bun and his slightly aged Asian face showing signs of fatigue, brought both hands together with his sword and bowed, his legs slightly shaking from the fight with the captain.
"That is correct. I am Vice Captain Masabi. Captain Aurelius wanted me to work on my swordsmanship since I usually only fight with my fists."
Aurelius flicked his wrist, causing his blade to fly toward Captain Ishiro. "Now, what do you want?!"
As the blade flew toward Captain Ishiro, he didn't flinch. A sudden droplet of water formed next to his cheek, catching the blade as it bounced off and landed on the floor, sliding into the ground.
"I do apologize for stopping your training session, Captain Aurelius, but we have a major issue involving your personnel, Kieran."
Captain Ishiro watched as further annoyance washed over Aurelius's face. "What has she done now?"
Confused, he spoke up. "What do you mean? One of your guards recently just spoke highly of her, the one with me now, actually."
"It's not that she's weak or anything. She just gets in her own way so much of the time and causes more issues than she's worth. She is also young and hasn't had much exposure to other worlds like the others, but she's insanely talented." Captain Aurelius sighed, rubbing his temples. "But just blurt it out, what has she done now?"
Captain Ishiro took a deep breath, trying to frame his words carefully. "It is my understanding you instructed her to head down to Earth to investigate that soul that got captured by the demons, correct?"
Captain Aurelius shook his head, his expression a mix of frustration and resignation. "Not entirely. I just sent her down so she could hopefully break that thought from her mind as it has been a nonstop issue for her. I thought going there to see his dead skeleton body would hopefully put her at ease. I didn't expect anything to come from it."
But please, tell me what happened this time.
Well Captain, you should firstly be excited to have such a talented youth in your mix, often times men or women become heartless quickly when they realize the gap in power, but regardless, she has sent a message notifying us that the earth is under invasion from the Vale creatures.
"I am not sure how deep this goes but a much bigger issue has arrived."
Captain Aurelius stated, "And how the hell are the creatures from the Vale getting to human worlds? They have no means of teleporting; they are mindless creatures run by a false king."
"Regardless of how it's happened, it is going on right now. I instructed the other guard on post to get a backup team ready for her to defend the planet as best they can. The next two alarming factions are that, first, she noted one of the higher-ranking Vale monsters spoke and stated it has destroyed countless human worlds with only a fraction left standing.
And the worst situation on hand right now is the traitor we have somewhere…"
