Watching her three younger sisters make various excuses, Qin Xiang felt a headache coming on.

Chen Kai was staring at a mountain of documents on his desk and yawning uncontrollably after flipping through a couple of pages.

"Get the CEO! Over here, now!" Chen Kai made a call.

Once the words were out, he casually tossed the phone on his desk, landing it exactly back where it had come from.

The CEO walked in, a respectful expression on his face. "Boss, did you need anything?"

Chen Kai pointed at the mountain of documents on his desk. "These documents, I need you to review them in two days. Don't bother me unless it's something I need to see."

"And I don't need a detailed report of every little matter. This is a big company. If I handled everything, including buying a toilet, what would I need employees for?"

His formidable words left the CEO shaking. He hurriedly responded, "Yes, yes, Boss, you're right. I'll get started on the review right away!"

A bead of sweat rolled down the CEO's forehead.

Quickly gathering the documents from the desk, he left the office as if he was escaping, as though Chen Kai's office was a hell on earth.

With the fully-loaded desk finally emptied, Chen Kai felt much more comfortable.

Walking alone on the bustling street, looking at all the tall buildings, he realized now he also owned one. Struck by this, he wandered aimlessly, eventually stopping at a small supermarket to buy some men's toiletries before returning home.

When he reached home, the smell of food was wafting from the villa, and his formerly calm stomach grumbled.

"I'm back!"

Pushing open the door and seeing the quiet house, Chen Kai announced loudly.

"Good timing. I was just thinking of calling you to see when you'd be back. Come on, it's dinner time!"

Carrying a bowl of steaming tomato soup, Qin Xiang came out of the kitchen and carefully placed the bowl on the table.

The other three sisters also came down from upstairs and sat at their respective places. The only vacant seat was next to Qin Xiang, which was clearly meant for Chen Kai.

Upon seeing this, Chen Kai nonchalantly walked over and sat down.

Next to him, Qin Ying distastefully pulled back her arm as if it was terrible to be touched by him.

"I'm not used to being in contact with men, don't mind it," she tried to explain awkwardly.

Thinking about him possibly becoming her husband gave her an uneasy feeling.

She remembered him mistreating her when they were young, such as hiding chili pepper in a bun and tricking her into eating it, which ended with her choking. This was something she would never forget.

"Really? No problem, you'll get used to it. I remember you liking chili very much. I have stir-fried chicken with chili on the side, you should have more!"

Chen Kai intentionally brought up the past and enjoyed watching Qin Min's face turn green. It was all good fun for him.

He didn't expect the sisters to still be as cute and naive as their younger selves after all these years.

Qin Xiang, seated at the head of the table, saw a pile of shopping bags at the door and remembered something.

"I've been such a fool, forgetting to prepare daily essentials for you. We're a family of women after all, so we didn't think of it. I've failed as a sister."

Even though they didn't particularly like Chen Kai, now that he's joined the family, it is their duty to take care of him. Neglecting this duty was a big blot on their record.

"It's fine. I took care of it myself. Besides, you wouldn't know what to buy. I'm better off doing it myself."

"Really?" Qin Xiang looked at Chen Kai, worried that he might be displeased.

"Really. Let's eat before the food gets cold."

He said, serving a piece of pumpkin into Qin Xiang's bowl.

The other sisters noticed this even though it was a usual gesture, and watched with interest at the interaction between them.

They all were open-minded. As long as Qin Xiang and Chen Kai truly loved each other, they would wholeheartedly support the couple!
