Forever yours(The love we keep)

As they sat on the park bench, watching the stars twinkle to life, Ethan and Charlotte couldn't help but reminisce about old times.

"Do you remember that time we won the school's talent show?" Charlotte asked, a mischievous glint in her eye.

Ethan chuckled. "How could I forget? You were the star of the show."

Charlotte playfully rolled her eyes. "You were the one who insisted on doing a rendition of 'I Will Always Love You'."

Ethan grinned. "Hey, I was just trying to show off my vocal range."

As they laughed and joked, Ethan couldn't help but notice the way Charlotte's eyes sparkled in the moonlight. He'd always had feelings for her, even back in high school, but he'd never mustered the courage to tell her.

"Charlotte?" Ethan said, his voice low and husky.

"Yeah?" she replied, her eyes locked onto his.

"Do you remember that time we went to the spring formal together?" Ethan asked, his heart pounding in his chest.

Charlotte's smile faltered for a moment, and Ethan saw a flash of vulnerability in her eyes.

"Yeah," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I remember."

Ethan's heart skipped a beat. He knew he had to ask the question that had been burning in his mind for years.

"Charlotte, did you ever...feel something more between us?" Ethan asked, his voice trembling with emotion.

Charlotte's eyes locked onto his, and for a moment, Ethan felt like he was drowning in their depths.

"I...I don't know what you're talking about," Charlotte stammered, her voice laced with uncertainty.

But Ethan saw the truth in her eyes. She'd felt it too.
