How did it come back again!_2 “Ah, you wouldn’t understand,” Negris said, waving his short hands dismissively. Ange had grown in many ways over the years, but his magic power hadn’t increased much. He could release Level 2 Magic with a buffer through his arms, but it was only because his control was so strong that the Level 2 spells he cast had the destructive power of around Level 4.

Take the exploding fireball, for instance—it’s actually a Level 4 Magic, there’s no such thing as a Level 2 exploding fireball. Yet, Ange, with his immense control, could compress a Level 2 flame spell into an exploding fireball.

In other words, while others needed Level 4 to create an explosion, he could do it at Level 2, causing damage beyond his tier. The same went for the Holy Light Missile, although, fundamentally, it was still Level 2 Magic.

It’s a mixed blessing. The good part is that Ange only uses as much magic power as a Level 2 spell requires. The downside is that Ange can at most cast Level 2 spells. Now, it may seem like just a one-level increase, but it’s a significant change.

Ange stood there, holding the Bronze Book with one hand and drawing out lines of fire with the other, heating the pond until steam rose from it.

From over Ange’s shoulder, the God of Life popped out and said, “Keep this up and the rice will be cooked.”

“Oh,” Ange quickly ceased, switching to a wind tornado which swiftly swept away the pond’s heat before he stopped the Enlightenment Aura.

“Level 3 Magic, does that mean the Enlightenment Aura allows you to cast Level 3 spells?” Negris inquired.

“At least Level 5,” Grey interrupted, unimpressed. She, an Arcane Magician, would not make a mistake; the power of the exploding fireball was at least that of Level 5.

Ange nodded his head.
