Lu Junfeng and Li Ke quickly began extra training with the help of the staff. Li Ke played in the midfield position while Lu focused on practicing heading and back-to-goal abilities. Their training was straightforward: Li Ke was responsible for long passes, and Lu practiced heading for goals or flicking the ball on. Some staff members held pads to simulate defenders, adding some physical challenge for Lu.

They all remarked on how incredibly strong he was; most people wouldn't be able to withstand him! However, after more than twenty minutes of practice, Lu waved to Li Ke to stop; he didn't want to practice heading anymore. Damn it, having the ball thud against his forehead was too painful! It felt like all the wisdom in his head had been knocked out, leaving him dizzy. If he got hit too hard and became stupid, no matter how fit he was, he wouldn't be able to play football! He had always relied on his intelligence to play! Better to practice receiving the ball with his back to the goal for now.

Meanwhile, from a distance, Arsenal's youth team director Liam Brady observed their training with thoughtful consideration…

After finishing their extra training, Lu and Li Ke had dinner at the base's cafeteria before saying goodbye. Meals at the training base were free; why not take advantage of that? Lu returned to the Arsenal youth team dormitory. Li Ke didn't stay in the dorm as he was a local from London.

The dormitory was very close to Arsenal's famous Korney training base, and the living conditions were decent—single rooms were considered a benefit provided by the club for young players. However, the nearby area was just a small town in Hertfordshire, with not much to do for entertainment. Locals didn't even consider it part of London.

As a newcomer who had just joined the team, Lu's main goal was still to get as much playing time as possible; he had no intention of going out to have fun. Therefore, returning early to wash up and sleep was his priority.

Before going to bed that night, Lu called home in China. As a reborn individual, he had persuaded his parents to make various investments years ago. Thanks to his understanding of global economic trends, his family's investments had been quite profitable. While they weren't top-tier wealthy, he could say that he wouldn't have to worry about food and drink for this lifetime.

If it weren't for obtaining the football system that allowed him to pursue his dream of becoming a football star, he could have comfortably lived as a playboy who only knew how to eat, drink, and have fun. Previously, Lu's parents lived with him in England to ensure he could take care of himself. Once he turned 18 and they felt he had developed strong independence skills, they returned home because they truly couldn't adapt to life in Europe. However, they still insisted that their son call them often to report on his situation.

No matter what, even though their son had grown into a robust man at 1.9 meters tall and over 200 pounds, in their eyes, he was still a child! Who isn't just a big baby weighing over 200 pounds? Lu's mother even worried that her son might face exclusion or bullying at Arsenal! Come on! Who would dare bully someone who is 1.9 meters tall, weighs over 200 pounds, and looks like he has a bad temper!

In London at this late hour, it was already daytime in China. News about a young Chinese player joining Arsenal's youth team began circulating across several professional football forums. However, it didn't create much of a stir. Over the years, there have been Chinese players who went abroad; however, the strength of the Chinese men's football team has been steadily declining—no one can save it.

Moreover, Lu only joined Arsenal's youth team; he didn't even have an official contract yet. Although there were reports that he scored in the reserves team, without any footage available, no one knew what his actual skill level was. Aside from some enthusiastic fans, nobody took this news seriously.

Starting from the next day, Lu received treatment akin to that of a starting forward during training sessions. The team began conducting tactical drills centered around him. Although Arsenal traditionally played with passing and movement requiring forwards with good footwork and positioning skills, having a tall center forward provided many different ways to break through defenses.

Moreover, Lu had decent speed and great potential for development. His footwork might currently be rough around the edges but could be improved with professional training. The crucial point was that Arsenal's first team faced difficulties and might need to promote Lu to address their attacking woes.

During this season's off-season, Arsenal's star player "General Van" Robin van Persie was sold to old rivals Manchester United. Midfield general Alexander Song also left for Barcelona, further weakening the team's strength. Although they signed "Prince of Poland" Lukas Podolski and French center forward Olivier Giroud to fill van Persie's void, they also brought in technical midfielder "Fatty" Santi Cazorla.

However, integrating this new lineup would take time since neither forward had reached a level where they could quickly blend into the system. As of now in the Premier League after three rounds, Arsenal drew 0-0 at home against "the Black Cats" Sunderland in their first match. They controlled 70% possession and launched 23 shots but only managed three on target.

In their second match away from home against "the Potters" Stoke City, Arsenal again drew 0-0. This time possession dropped to 67%, with 17 shots but only two on target. In their third match away against "the Canaries" Norwich City, Arsenal conceded an early goal in the 19th minute from a counterattack but then bombarded their opponents with attacks. They registered 14 shots throughout but only five were on target—yet they failed to score and lost 0-1.

Thus far in these three matches combined, Arsenal had taken 54 shots without scoring!
